With Bad credit and a repo on my record, there aren't a lot of finance companies willing to take a chance. I was able to get a car financed through High Performance. The interest rate was through the roof, but understandable considering the high risk nature of my account. My dealings with HPC have been completely smooth. I had a period of time where I was having trouble making payments on time. They worked with me to adjust my payment dates and were always very polite and accommodating. I just paid my car off at the end of February. They had my title to me via certified mail within 4 weeks. The only negative I can give them is that the fees with their different payment methods are way too high. Do not use high performance capital at any cost! Here is my horror story. I am a very faithful customer yes I took a high interest loan but it didn't brother me at all. For years I made every payment no problem. I was hit by a drunk driver on a motorcycle and didn't call them fast enough to make one payment and they roped the car with out any care in the the world what's so ever! Even after I explained that I was in the hospital and up to this point made every single payment over 18k dollars with no problems. High-Performance Capital should have their license suspended or revoked. On 2-18-18 I paid off my loan with HPC. On 2-26-18 HPC deducted a full payment from my account for $409.24 even though the loan was paid-in-full 8 days earlier. This surprise deduction immediately took my account into a negative balance and I was hit with two NSF fees for $34 each. Today is Wednesday 2-28-18 and after three days of phone calls I am no closer to getting my money back, plus I will get hit with more NSFs as more of my bills get deducted from the account, plus I have no money for essentials like gas, food, medicine, etc. I have literally talked to everyone in the call center and nothing is resolved. At this point, I may file criminal charges against the company owners for stealing. If they refuse to give me the money back, then it is stealing. On Monday 2-26-18 I called HPC about this mistaken deduction of $409.24 and I talked to Joe at ext 6608. Joe said he could reverse the $409.24 deduction and refund the $68 in NSF charges, but he said he had to wait until the money actually arrived in his account before he could reverse it. So I called back Tuesday 2-27-18 and Joe said he had not yet received the funds and he was unable to reverse the transaction. I told him I thought he was just stalling cause his records would show the deduction from my account and no further "proof" was required. Then I finally determined that all of Joe's words were just a ruse and he never intended to reverse any transaction. Of course, I can't get hold of him. I have called numerous times and everyone at the call center has told me that this situation is all my fault. Every single call center representative told me that I failed to cancel my automatic debit. Again and again, I was told that the situation was all my fault. I told each representative that paying the balance in-full should be the trigger to stop the auto-withdrawal from my account. Over and over I was told that simply paying off a loan never stops an automatic debit. read more

I paid off my auto loan in early February 2015. Ana Padilla who has been handling my account then called and left a message stating I still needed to pay a few dollars of interest to complete the pay off. I call her back to take care of it and she tells me she spoke to "them" and "they" told her it's fine I don't need to pay the couple of extra dollars. Cool. I thank her and hang up. Within 5 minutes she calls me back saying sorry she was wrong I actually DO need to pay it. Okayyyyy. So in the end, my pay off was completed February 17 and I'm told it will take approximately 8-10 weeks from then to receive my title. Wow, that's a long time I thought and I even asked my mechanic about the extended length of time and he agreed it was fishy. Don't even get me started about how many times I have had to repeat to Ana my change of address, spelling it out letter by letter and having written it on ALL my payment correspondence for the last 2 years but still not even being sure she transcribed it correctly. Cut to April 21st, 9 weeks later and I still haven't received the title. I call in to check on the status thinking it should be on its way soon given the previous estimate. Ana apologizes and agrees I have been waiting far too long already. She says "it looks like it will be sent out this week". Great! So I wait. Now, almost 3-weeks later I still have not received my title so I call back to check again. The customer service rep who answers doesn't even ask my name or account number as they usually do she just put me on hold for almost 4 minutes. She comes back on the line to tell me that I only just REQUESTED my title last week. She says "yes, April 21st, LAST WEEK". I'm like "No. April 21st is when I called to CHECK the status of it which by the way was NOT last week it was TWENTY days ago, almost 3 weeks." Her reply was that it takes about 3-weeks after the request is submitted so I should be receiving it sometime NEXT WEEK. I know a runaround when I hear one and it's now obvious that is what I'm getting. I tell her NO, I need the title immediately. It has already been 12 weeks now since I paid off the car loan so she says she will transfer me to Ana because she should know what's going on. Needless to say, I was never connected to Ana. The customer service rep puts me on hold then comes back to tell me Ana is on the other line and asks me to hold. She then comes back again to tell me that NOW Ana is "not available" and asks if I would like to leave a message. She sounds very nervous at this point. I tell her that if I leave a message I'm sure Ana will not be calling me back. She is silent in response and then asks if I would like to hold for her to which I say YES and then she stutters and repeats that Ana is not available. In the end, she gives me Ana's extension AND connects me to Ana's voicemail where I left a message detailing the problem and asking for an immediate call back. I'm not sure what the scam is but something shady is at foot. read more

Dude. I keep reading all of yall's posts, but I have never had any major issues with them. I usually deal with "Joe" and he's a pretty straight forward guy. I have developed a pretty good business relationship with him and he is cooler than the other side of the pillow. If you are going to be late on a payment, just call him and let him know. They are really understanding as long as you answer the phone and not avoid their calls. For example, I got a phone call from Joe about a year ago and he told me that my car payment was 3 months past due and that they were getting ready to repossess my car. I told him that there was a mistake because I received a confirmation that my payment went through, and I even called my bank on 3 way so that they can confirm that I had the funds to cover my payment at the time, and he apologized for their error. I had to make arrangements to pay my note on a later date, and it really set me back to where I am a few days late on my note every month, but I usually call him up (if he doesn't call me first) and tell him which Wednesday he could expect my payment, and were good. Keep in mind, the ONLY reason why I am giving them 5 stars is based on the customer service. I will never use them, as a loan provider again due to the high interest rate, but the employees (all of the ones I have spoken to) are cool as hell. read more

Who does that?? There are times when people need a little extra time to pay their car payment. If a payment was past 30 days then yes, turn it off. But PLEASE do not deactivate people's car for payments being made within 30 days!! And to top it off, their customer service is HORRIFIC!! I've reported this company several times to the BBB because of their horrible business practice and customer service. They have outrageous fees associated with making payments online. I bought a car and was unfortunately due to credit given to them. I had to fill in 10 people as references then they put a tracking device on the car. I got some cheesy 7/11 card in the mail and knew right away this company was horrible. Everything was written in fine print. I went to the website and logged in too my account they charge you money for paying making your monthly payments, not like they don"t ream you with the high interest rates. Then they don't have any information about your loan on the site. They want you to be uninformed about how much money you are actually praying. I complained about this as the fair lending act and was told it was on my contract. I was handed off to a supervisor who then came on the phone to explain to me about credit. I tried several time to shut him up because I already knew about this and just wanted to get a payoff and he kept talking so finally I got him to shut up and he gave me the payoff. I called to pay over the phone and they stated, it was very expensive to do that with them and to go to 7/11. I asked if I could pay it online, which I then remembered that you could only make a single payment online, so you can"t do that. They told me to go to western union where I would be charged 6 to 7 dollars. Absolutely ridiculous to make it so difficult to pay your account off.
