We took a chance on a company we did not know and could not be happier. Travis listened to our needs, gave us a contract with a timeframe, and we began our primary shower remodel. We had bought an older home, had an inspection and moved in. The shower began leaking almost right away. So after lots of internet searches and phone calls to contractors we chose High Sierra. We are so happy. They started when they said they would. Workers showed up everyday, they were respectful of our home, very tidy in this remodel, professional, accommodating with our tile selections, and did an excellent job. Their prices are reasonable, not cheap, but definitely not the highest either. And their company was the only one of the companies we talked to that offers a guarantee/warranty. I was telling a friend of mine about High Sierra and she said it couldn't be be all positive. So even though I am totally happy, if there was a negative it would be the project ran a couple of days longer than estimated. That is how wonderful of an experience I had that "running a couple of days longer than estimated " is the only negative I could come up with. LOL I would recommend you contact High Sierra for home remodel or repair. We will be using High Sierra again. read more

These guys are THE BEST. In the midst of dealing with other frustrating contractors, Travis and his team were the absolute epitome of professionalism. We reached out to HSR&C to gut our guest bathroom, change the tub/shower combo to a walk-in shower, and leave the area prepped for the finishing work. Travis was quick to respond, and most importantly, he was honest. Honest that they were busy at the time and it might be a couple months out, but would try to squeeze our project in if time allowed. We were thrilled when it worked out and they were able to get our project on the schedule quicker than estimated. Jay was the team member who did most of our project, and what a great guy he is! He was professional, efficient, answered our questions, and left us fully prepared to continue the project once they'd finished. Not only did HSR&C do an excellent job at the time, but I found myself texting/meeting with Jay and Travis a few months later with questions about our shower drain. They were more than willing to come check it out and ensure that everything was up to par for the finishing. Cannot recommend Travis, Jay, and High Sierra enough. Nice guys but poor quality control on several elements of a small project. Then we got surprised when we found out that 15 minutes of touchup painting where they did some drywall repairs wasn't included. We had the paint sitting right there. There's an old saying, how you do the little things is how you do everything. Hopefully this company matures and becomes more professional. They have the potential. read more

Travis and Jay replaced our house's original Berber carpet (--why do builders fill houses with the stuff?! Ans: It's cheap. Also, inelegant!) with gorgeous prefinished oak flooring, the week of Jan. 3. I wanted one-stop shopping--demolition, prep work, laying the flooring, putting up and finishing the new trim and thresholds, disposal of all construction debris. The job also included moving, then repositioning heavy furniture and covering anything that would be adversely affected when they painted the trim, in place. The job was drama-free and they masked up as per my request, while in the house. It was also pretty much perfect. These guys know their craft. They even (Jay) worked a lovely transition between the taller trim, down to the lower (again, builder-grade) trim, where required. It's really lovely. I often purposefully walk into the dining room and hallway areas now, just to admire the new beauty of those spaces. I would definitely recommend these guys for wood floor work. I can't say enough about them. I will start with how Travis and Jay were professional, helpful and reliable. I recently bought a house that was a rental for the past 10 years and let's just say it wasn't well kept. From the start to finish I was impressed with their work and ability to get the job done. I felt comfortable with them doing the work and was very happy with the work. I was never worried about what I would find at the end of the day of their work, I knew I would be happy. Excellent experience! Work was performed exactly the way they said it would be, it was done in the time frame they stated and they were professional and courteous . The thing we were most impressed by was their cleanliness. I'm picky when it comes to this. I expected dust and small debris and was fully prepared to not be able to use anything in the area they were working for the entire time frame. To my surprise, not only did they take care to keep the dust from getting out of the area, they cleaned up and organized their tools and stored them out of the way so we could use most of the area, they cleaned up all small random debris, vacuumed hallways they used, and swept the front entry....and they did that every day for a week +. You can always tell the quality of someones work by how they leave their work area each day and these guys are a standard people should work hard to live up to.
