They were not clear with how our counter would be installed. It was badly cut and badly arranged…read more The son Ryan did a poor job measuring our area for the counter and he never informed us we could use their software to correctly arrange our slabs for our kitchen counter and backsplash so that they would match and look seamless. The slabs do not match and have a poor continuity. One of the seams between the slabs, because of the poor cuts/measurements, is large enough to fit a coin between the two slabs. This particular seam is the backsplash behind my stove so not easily hidden. Their solution, rather than using a new slab, was to just add extra caulk. When we expressed our concerns to the father owner Steve, his response was to tell us they had been in business for years and did the Governor's house years ago. Perhaps they would have done a good job for us if I was the Governor, but instead they did less than adequate work. Also, they did not put the hours for the sink faucets in the place where we wanted them. They did not ask for instruction on where to place the holes, even though we were in the house when they were making them. I had to have them come to our house several times to correctly caulk the seams. The technician did a sort of ok job. But the counters were never installed to our satisfaction. When we voiced our concerns Steve and Ryan simply dismissed us and our concerns. My husban

See my previous review from last year for additional details regarding the quote process and quality of work on the upgrades to our laundry room. We found that Bridges Construction greatly simplifies the entire process by providing a detailed quote, providing vendor recommendations for fixtures and finishes, as well as, the experienced craftsmen to bring the changes to fruition. The project timeline was estimated accurately, and during the remodel, there was regular communication regarding the arrival of various installers such as the painter, plumber, electrician, and tile work. As additional work was requested, this was handled with ease by the Bridges team. An example of this was the addition of LED lights used in the remodel to our existing kitchen. A final comment regarding the quote. The Bridges team provides a multi-page, detailed quote which allowed us to track cost differences as we made our selections of fixtures, vanity surfaces, shower tiles and flooring. We met with Steve Bridges and discussed our ideas with him and met with him at our residence on two occasions prior to contracting with him to discuss our options and to see how we could fit a Jacuzzi tub and a double shower in the space that we had. We were able to collaborate with him to come up with our plan. One of the first things that happened after contracting with Bridges Construction is that we were allowed to meet personally with his suppliers, which were primarily flooring, tile, countertops, and pick out exactly what we were looking for and to use the experience of those subcontractors along with Steve's experience to come up with excellent material choices. Some of the items that we chose were way beyond what Steve expected, but he worked with us to make sure that they were all able to work in our remodeled bathroom and would be installed professionally. During the bathroom remodel, there was constant communication as to who was coming and what they were planning to do. A lot of this came from Kyle and Brandon who work for Bridges Construction. We were provided with cell phone numbers for Kyle and Brandon, as well as all of the subcontractors so that we could communicate with them, ask any questions, and confirm scheduling if necessary. The thing that we liked the most in working with Bridges Construction and their subcontractors were the willingness of the subcontractors to provide their opinions as to what would work best, and how the layouts were to be made. This was most important in working with the tile subcontractor, as we changed the layout of how we were going to do the tile, and it took twice as long as was initially thought. The tile subcontractor did not hesitate whatsoever, taking extra time and effort to do the tile exactly the way we wanted. In conclusion, the bathroom turned out beyond our expectations, and was completed without any issues or complications. We cannot ask for anything more, and are ecstatic at how the bathroom turned out. You should not hesitate in discussing your bathroom remodel plans with Bridges Construction, as they will not lead you astray.

We had an unfortunate experience with Cory, a contractor whose actions fell far below professional…read moreand ethical standards. Throughout the project, Cory's involvement was minimal. He only showed up at the house to collect payment, spending less than five minutes before leaving again. The majority of the work was completed by subcontractors, and Cory seldomly and irregularly virified the quality of their work or followed up to check on their progress. We had given clear instructions to Cory: demolition should not begin until all materials were delivered and ready for installation. Unfortunately, this was not followed, and we were left without a kitchen for an extended period--three months, in fact. Our kitchen is quite small, this extended delay of three months was an unreasonable amount of time, causing major disruptions to our daily lives The project started when my husband hired Cory to repair water damage in the kitchen after a leak beneath the sink caused damage to part of the floor. Cory suggested gutting the entire kitchen, even though it had been completely remodeled just a year earlier by my then-boyfriend and with Cory's previous work. At the time, we had filed an insurance claim for the damage, but the process was moving slowly. Despite this, we trusted Cory's expertise and proceeded with his recommendation, believing it was necessary and that the insurance would cover the costs. However, after spending $40,000, we found out the insurance did not cover the repairs. Upon speaking with several of the subcontractors Cory had hired, we learned that only partial repairs were needed, and there was no justification for gutting the entire kitchen. This was confirmed when we found out why the insurance declined the claim. In hindsight, we recognize that we should have been more diligent in verifying Cory's recommendations, and we deeply regret not seeking a second opinion. Additionally, the project experienced constant delays, and I eventually had to personally reach out to the subcontractors to push things along. They regularly showed up late or failed to show up entirely. When I confronted Cory about the delays, he falsely claimed that the project was ahead of schedule and that he had not provided us with specific dates or timelines. To make matters worse, in our final communication, Cory instructed me not to contact him further and informed me that he would only be dealing with my husband from that point forward. I hope this account serves as a warning to anyone considering working with Cory and his company. We strongly recommend proceeding with caution and exploring other options for your construction needs.

It took about a month for the materials to arrive, and then a day to install. They also helped install a very large barn door for an additional cost. I had reached out to a number of local "handymen" who either never got back to me, or declined entirely. You can imagine how happy I was when Interior Finishes said they could do it the same day as the cabinets. I'm absolutely THRILLED with the final result!
