My husband and I went to High Tech Notary to get our real ID today, and we were so impressed. They were very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and helped us to figure out all the documents we needed to update our licenses. Also, I just have to add that I read on either yelp or google that this place took the best driver's license pictures ever and I concur 100%. This business is just terrible I went there couple time to renew my license before each time the old guy seem rude but I let it go last week some one stole my wallet so I went back here to get a duplicate license I told them I got La wallets they said it was no good so they gave me a list of stuff I need to get my license renew I brought my registration for my car still no good brought my business tax clearance with my name on it still no good brought my medical record with name and address up to date still no good so the old guys tell me what do you don't understand get out the here so I left and go to another place using my La wallets I got my new and renew license in 20 minutes I will never go back to this place the guy back there think he is king or something but I think he a rscist because I am a minority who need you you need us read more

I lost my wallet so I had no debit card or license. High tech was the only place that helped me out. My own bank would not let me take out money without a drivers license even though I had my birth certificate, ss card and a work picture ID. I could get a job but not take money out my own account. I have to wonder why they even open the doors. they don't take credit cards which seems to exclude most people. recently I asked about accommodations for those of us who are differently-abled and was shown to the door; driving business away along with excluding the majority of people who use credit cards seems like no way to do business. read more

Horribly horribly rude and mean. The owner was not only mean and rude to me, but also my 6 year old son. A child. You should be ashamed of yourself for speaking to a child the way you did. I left without service because of how rude the lady there was. But she wasn't rude to the customers behind me for some odd reason. The first lady I dealt with was very kind and helpful. However, the one lady that does the processing (could've been the owner) overlooked me even though I was first in line and spoke to me as though I was inconveniencing her. We recently sold a car using their vehicle title transfer service. We went there with the buyer and everything was taken care of in a few minutes. Nice having everything in one office including the notary. Best part was that we didn't have to go to the DMV for anything. High Tech Notary is one of those businesses that found a service that the State provides and does it better. They also handle vehicle registrations, plate purchases, renewals and cancellations as well as any notary service you need. If you want a specialty plate (Black Bear, LSU, Saints, etc) they have them for sale. Also looked like you could do a driver's license renewal, but I didn't ask about it. Staff was friendly and efficient. We'll use them again if the need arises. read more

Have used this business for years and have tolerated the minimal aggravation and rudeness. But today the owner decided my husband spoke to loud on his phone and told him to leave. If you like dealing with rude and incompetent people, make High Tech your go-to place. Otherwise, avoid it like you would the bubonic plague. I accompanied a friend there to get a state ID, and she was told she needed additional documentation because her address had changed since she had gotten her last state ID. The woman behind the counter gave my friend a list of acceptable documents, and when we returned to High Tech with the documents about 30 minutes later, the man behind the counter told my friend that he was not going to provide service to her. I asked why he was refusing service, and he replied that it was his business and he could refuse service to anyone he wanted to. I then asked why my friend was given a list of documents to bring back to High Tech if she was going to be refused service, and the man behind the counter threatened to call the police if I didn't leave the premises. I told him to go ahead and make the call because maybe the police might be able to get the answer to my question. He didn't make the call, and I remembered Winston Churchill's advise against engaging in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent and left the premises. read more

The man and lady that own this place are Rude.They are somewhat cordial when you are spending money there getting your car business notarized and several months later when I realize that I do not have the title to my car I went back to ask questions and I was told by the Man that you are asking to many questions and we are Not making money right Now answering your questions and we are busy. When I did my car title transfer with this company I was not told I would receive my car title in the mail and my car title was mailed to me and I did not receive my car title.And I was not told that if I did not receive my car title within the 60 days that I can get another title mailed to me for No additional fee and I was not told that after the 60 day grace period I would have to pay for the title again. Now I have to pay for another car title at DMV. I asked if I had received a detail receipt of what my charges were when I did my car title transfer and the lady said she gives the detail receipt of expenses to everyone but I remember she did not give me a receipt when I paid for my car title transfer.The lady and man that run and own this place are incompetent and not knowledgeable about what they are doing and they are Rude, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! read more
