There's no real reason for a 4 star as such, it's just that I've only been once and need to try again before giving one of my "rarer these days" 5 star reviews.
I decided to book a facial after one of the assistants in work stopped me on the corridor to exclaim "what happened to your face??". My skin was a mess and she she was worried that I was stressed. I thought that was a fairly strong indication to treat myself to some professional help.
I booked through Wahanda which was advertising reduced rates off-peak. I think they would have honoured the same rate anyway though, as they have regular special offer promotions. Luckily, all went well with the booking process, and they were prompt in replying to my emails double checking that they were expecting me.
On the day of the treatment, I was slightly early and got to wait in a restful waiting room which had water and tea to sip on. My therapist was on time, and absolutely lovely. Annoyed that I can't remember her name! She really seemed to listen to what I said about my skin, and took a lot of care examining it and adapting the facial to it. I had chosen a Dermalogica facial, and while they're similar everywhere, there seems to be good scope for individualising them. I got a lovely face and shoulder massage, and really wasn't left alone for very long which was great. There was a bit of chat, but not too much, so I got to relax.
She told me what kind of products she had used, and gave great feedback on my skin, but I didn't feel pressurised to buy. My skin was absolutely glowing after and I was disappointed that I hadn't made a date or something for after. Such a waste of my one good skin day!
