I have watched the quality of the apartments, and community itself continuously drop over the years through multiple management companies. Jones St Management takes it to a new low! My company moved out of an apartment in early July 2024 (after leasing it for 6 years) to be charged for carpet cleaning, and general cleaning. Seriously!?The apartment was professionally cleaned throughout, after the furnishings were removed. Not a single stain, or damage to the carpet. The maintenance guys are great! I feel bad that they are handcuffed by the poor office, and management staff. Be aware! The office staff (Merideth in particular) is rude, and deceptive. You can kiss your security deposit goodbye! With the security deposit theft, as well as all the $ add-ons, you can do better in your apartment search. There are plenty of other apartment communities that will treat you with respect. These are the details that you cannot see because currently the units cannot be viewed in-person. We hope that this saves others on the rental market both money and the heartache/headache of ending up in an uncomfortable living situation. Though, again, we appreciate that management has worked with us post-moving in, this timeline has cost us much more (in money and stress) than if the apartment had been in good shape, and has meant a lot of completely preventable traffic inside our home during COVID-19.

We quickly put in our application and $500 deposit. Upon returning home I decided to do a bit of research to see what others had to say, or read about what past tenants thought... What we found was mortifying, from issues with trash, to the employees running the place, to noise issues and written warnings, to the issues with parking and safety and the amount of cars that are jacked up on cinder blocks, to the issues with owing more at the end even after they eat your entire deposit up.... We sadly could not move forward with the lease and decided that it was best to forfeit the $500 than to sign ourselves up for a year or more of misery. I am sure there are some happy tenants out there but the amount of unhappy paints a clear picture for me. Loft living is not for me and I am thankful to have gone thru this process to learn that.

That is the only reason I could think of it. They will send you numerous, somewhat incoherent pictures to support their claims. AVOID. Also, they regularly remove reviews from Google. So, just ask yourself the question why that is true?

I then wrote Gregory an emailing explaining I was reaching out, because Sandra had not returned my calls. He emailed me back saying they weren't interested in my services. I returned his email explaining for the 12th time I was interested in renting from Rumford Center Apartments. No answer. I've been in real estate for 20+ years, and have great credit. I'm not sure if their office is under turmoil, or if they are just incompetent, but I would not recommend doing business with this agency.
