This location was fine, but it has been eclipsed by better places. It had swings, a slide, a climbing wall, about a half-dozen spring-mounted animals to rock back and forth on, and a larger grassy area to play. Nearby tennis courts and basketball courts (which showed a bit of neglect) were available for older kids to use. Parking was ample. I could see little kids having fun here playing with friends, but on their own there just isn't much to do.

It includes a gazebo, a couple of benches, a small memorial and really that is it, it is not a large piece of land in any respect, not much room for games or sports in this park, but don't worry there is a park very nearby with plenty of space if you are looking for those things. What really sets this park apart though, and makes it worthy of note is the wonderful events that the village of Oakfield puts on at this site. In September it is the main location of the Labor Daze festival that includes a race, craft vendors, food, games, entertainment, fireworks and much more over Labor Day weekend, definitely a fun festival to check out, it is worth the drive! Possbily even more special in December it is home to about 50-60 Christmas trees, which get decorated by local businesses and residents of the town in memory or in honor of special people. It is a beautiful site to behold, especially at night when all of the trees are lit up. It is also really neat to walk around and look at the details, trees with baseball ornaments in memory of someone who loved baseball, and a tree hung with cookie cutters for a local baker. They also have a special Christmas festival complete with a visit from Santa, wreaths given out that collect ornaments from different local establishments, crafts and fun for the whole famliy. For such a small park that could be looked over as insignificant, this small town park has a lot of special things that make it a worthwhile trip! As you walk around you can see why, incredible amount of work is going into keeping this place up. These are large crowns and you want comfortable walking shoes for them. It's not very wheelchair or stroller friendly. These are the grounds of someone who lived in the city of Buffalo. He was clearly wealthy. The house is a Rare Plants Nursery and former home of William Henry Gratwick II from Buffalo. Lee Gratwick, W.G's daughter is now living at Linwood and is dedicated to preserving the Tree Peony Collection, the Gardens, and the Summer house. It's a great weekend getaway to kill a couple hours, see the extensive tree peony collection and explore the grounds with it's various ponds, fountains, and floral area's. I go every year as it's open on the weekend between Lilac Festival and Fairport Canal Days. Two thumbs up, go check it out.

This park is located in Henreitta and is a super clean and nice both dog park and disc golf course. The disc golf course is not a full disc golf course it's only 9 holes and they are par 3 or less for each hole. Making it to be somewhat "easier" of a course. However in my opinion this is an easier course than most bc the disc golf bins are so much closer to you than other parks such as elision. I do like the Elison park more in other respects though. The dog park, I've been to all the dog parks as well. This I also my favorite dog park in Rochester. They have two dog parks in one - one for small dogs and one for large dogs. The small dogs are allowed to go into the large dog area which is much bigger and has a little creek to plY and get extremely dirty in ... the smaller dog park is only for small dogs and has a lot of fun "playgrounds" to do tricks with your dog and no water! So you and your pup won't leave dirty. Both also have doggy fountains and doggy bags to keep the dog park cleans. FYI the disc golf course is public and free to anyone; the dog parks is Monroe county memebership through the libraries in Rochester and need a pass to get into. The pass includes the 4 only "private"dog parks in Rochester and is 20 dollars a year. If you love your dog and your dog loves playing with strangers it's worth it for sure. The large dog area has a small little creek running through it with lovely tall grass that make it super enjoyable for the dogs to sniff and explore. I really loved it! There was a big covered shelter area with a lot of picnic tables underneath it, a cute playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, a place to play ball. Lots of beautiful grassy areas, and for the kids, a giant hill to roll down. We walked around the little paths, played with puppies, and got to visit with family. Tyler was patient as I went back and forth with ideas. Trey, the VP, guaranteed installation on our son's birthday when he found out that the date was the week they were shooting for. The guys that installed (Justin and Cal) were efficient and did excellent work. At the time, we bought a double ponderosa with climbing wall and several fixing for 6296.40 plus 400 installation. The kids loved it. The set is very well built. However, we recently needed to move for work purposes. We explored several options to take the playground with us versus selling it. The cost to disassemble and move was potentially 1500, which did not include putting it back up. After much discussion, we opted to attempt to sell on Facebook marketplace. Several people were interested and contacted us. In the process, we referred them to Bear's to discuss the disassembly and reassemble. Bears' answer was allegedly (per the potentially buyers) to offer them a brand new set for the same price we were attempting to sell ours for (4,000 - 4,500). Even if it wasn't meant to undercut our sale, the simple implication is that we overpaid by at least 33%. While we understand that it's a family based company trying to make a living (especially in Covid), this cannot construed as appropriate business practices. I would never recommend buying if you ever intend on moving or selling, and if you do, make sure to negotiate down by at least 33%.
