This is the very best playground in the area. Te main reason I like it is because there are ALWAYS other kids there. So for us moms, that means that we can just sit on a park bench and chill while our kids play with others. No more "mom chase me down the slide" at this park. I joke. Kind of! ;) This playground is located in Rothfuss Park in Penfield. There is another playground very close to it which hardly ever has kids. However jack's place, the dinosaur playground, has a full crowd. It is set up very well and well-maintained. They have multiple slides, a sandbox "dig", swings and other fun things to do. Everything looks clean and fresh. Built under tragic circumstances after the accidental death of a three-year-old, this park makes you feel good just being there. Other pluses--not close to the road, lots of green spaces and pretty views, close pavilions for eating, tons of benches and garbage cans. Wonderful place that your kids will enjoy.

Slides, spinny things, benches, swings, and much much more. The ground is that faux turfy/safe to fall on/bouncy rubber, and was super nice. It was busy on a beautiful weekday, so I can tell this is a hot spot for Webster fams. A great opportunity for kids to socialize in the COVID times - though I think the playground is technically made for kids 2 and up. I look forward to many more trips with my nieces and nephew, and love that this is part of a tucked away park. If you're familiar with the Challenger field, the playground is just beyond it. Happy playing and enjoy this gorgeous playgournd!

In addition to standard swings and slides, they have a modern seesaw, ground level spinner ride, egg spinners, and a boat that adults could sit in (making up my own names). The ground feels like a padded mat so easier on the hands and knees for falls. I feel comfortable with my 2 yo running around without major scrapes. There are bathrooms nearby and a covered shelter with picnic tables. That's the only area where there's some shade unfortunately. Parking lot next to the town hall. Fun place for kids and adults!

There are miles of trails and once the trails have been groomed, skied and packed in, the snow sticks around a while. Plus their location to the east of Rochester and right on the lake means they often get several inches of new snow when other parks might only get a dusting. My husband and I are avid cross-country skiers and we have skied all over the park, including areas that are not groomed. The park is beautiful, quiet, with ample parking, and when the temps are good, it is about the best you can get. There are trails that are more easy/flat, trails that wind through woods, trails with up and down hills, trails in the pine forest, trails across the open fields - lots of options for every level of skier!! There are also many parking lots where you can access the trails, and for those who like other winter activities, like ice fishing and sledding, there are lots of places to enjoy. I love this park, especially in winter!

This indoor dog park has lots of room for dogs to just RUN, and has some agility equipment for those on the more athletic side. Kris, the owner, made sure this place was clean and pristine for our playtime there, and she remained on site and engaged with our dog Lucy the entire time. Woofs has a separate play area for smaller dogs as well, so when size matters to your furbaby, they can be assured that they'll feel safe and sound playing without the worry of being overwhelmed by larger dogs. Recently, with the canine flu going around, Woofs took some time to evaluate how to keep the doggos safe and healthy. Ultimately Woofs modeled some COVID best practices and we ended up with a private playtime for just our dog. Kris cleans between scheduled playtimes to ensure a clean and safe play area. I know several doggy day care places that don't take these precautions - it's definitely a hit to the "bottom line," but I fully appreciate the care that Woofs has taken to provide a safe, healthy, and holistic play alternative to dogs of all sizes, especially on inclement weather days. Woofs even has some exercise equipment (stationery cycles, and treadmills) that allow owners to get a workout in while overseeing their dog in the play area, if they so desire. Definitely a 10 out of 10, and we'll be back!!!!
