This thing has been around for I'd say 25-30 years (???) Our kids LOVED this playground! Some of the comments was "This is the best playground everrrr." Or "This is the biggest playground over ever seen!" They had so much fun playing hide and seek in all the nooks and crannies that these wooden playground always had! Definitely recommend! I parked where it said "daffodil meadow" since that sounded pretty sweet, and we ventured on into the woods. I had no idea it would be such a lovely hike alongside the Irondequoit Creek. We headed the wrong way on the red trail (I think?) and ended up intersecting with a few different trails along the way. The mud was minimal and there were very few other people on the trail the Friday I was there. With a few folks fishing along our hike, Freddy got some great people watching and chipmunk chasing in. I know now that there's a very popular fish hatchery. I didn't know what the situation would be with that during all things COVID, so we kept it simple and made a swift exit right after our sweaty hike. Tyler was patient as I went back and forth with ideas. Trey, the VP, guaranteed installation on our son's birthday when he found out that the date was the week they were shooting for. The guys that installed (Justin and Cal) were efficient and did excellent work. At the time, we bought a double ponderosa with climbing wall and several fixing for 6296.40 plus 400 installation. The kids loved it. The set is very well built. However, we recently needed to move for work purposes. We explored several options to take the playground with us versus selling it. The cost to disassemble and move was potentially 1500, which did not include putting it back up. After much discussion, we opted to attempt to sell on Facebook marketplace. Several people were interested and contacted us. In the process, we referred them to Bear's to discuss the disassembly and reassemble. Bears' answer was allegedly (per the potentially buyers) to offer them a brand new set for the same price we were attempting to sell ours for (4,000 - 4,500). Even if it wasn't meant to undercut our sale, the simple implication is that we overpaid by at least 33%. While we understand that it's a family based company trying to make a living (especially in Covid), this cannot construed as appropriate business practices. I would never recommend buying if you ever intend on moving or selling, and if you do, make sure to negotiate down by at least 33%.
