To be honest, I hadn't been to the dentist in over 20 years due to a severe fear of pain, which left me with several broken teeth. I finally called this office because I was experiencing extreme pain and a fever. Within a few hours of my call, they had already sent prescriptions for antibiotics and Motrin to my pharmacy. The receptionist, Yania, actually stayed an hour past her shift just to ensure my medications were processed before she went home--this team truly goes the extra mile. The next day, I saw Dr. Chung, who confirmed the tooth was infected. Because the area was too sensitive for an immediate extraction, he prioritized managing the infection and my pain first. Over the next four days, the communication was incredible. They use a text system that is very responsive; Dr. Chang himself even responded to my texts over the weekend while the office was closed. By the following Tuesday, the infection was down and I went in for the extraction and bone grafting. The local anesthetic was perfect--I felt low to no pain. I was sent home with clear instructions and a full 10-day recovery plan. From start to finish, this team was professional, caring, and thorough. Two weeks ago, my daughter began having unexplained swelling and sensitivity in her lower gums. Our original dentist couldn't figure out the cause and referred us to an endodontics specialist. However, the doctor we saw not only couldn't figure out the reason but was also very rude. Later someone introduced us to Dr. Chung. His clinic accepted our medi-cal insurance so we went to see him. Since the problem could not be explained by X-Ray, Dr. Chung recommended us take a CT-scan, which wasn't covered by our insurance but was charged very reasonably for. Dr. Chung is very kind, patient, and professional. He explained my daughter's condition to us very clearly and then referred us to an excellent Endodontics specialist. We are very grateful for Dr. Chung and will now transfer my daughter's routine dental checkup to Highland. Thank you, Dr. Chung. read more

I hate this dentist!!! I went it for a broken crown from a root canal. This dentist did something else. He told Me I needed a root canal okay I understand that. He billed the insurance for it but when I went in for my appt he stated I no longer needed the root canal,? What. How does that make any sense??. I told him there was another tooth that was bothering me he said no you are fine, there is nothing there. I am the patient and I feel pain. There is definitely something wrong in my tooth. Anyway I dont recommend anyone to go there really bad dentist. I started going to CanAm Dental and I love it there. Chose wisely people it's your teeth we are talking about. read more

I had an appointment for me and my toddler. I had heard it wasn't a great location to come but I still wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. This place is the worst! They were so overbooked with only one dentist and one dental hygienist. They told me they would reschedule me for a later day after I had already been checked in and in the waiting area for 45 minutes. They told me they would still see my toddler but all the dentist did was look in my toddlers mouth and applied fluoride. No X-rays no anything! She took 5 minutes with with us. She is always so friendly and understanding, especially with my daughter that was super scared and used to run around her office freaking out about getting cleanings lol. I've been coming here for 15 years. Dr C and her staff is great! There's a reason I still drive from OC to here. Sure her offices aren't super swanky, but trust me you, the patient end up paying the costs for those lavish dentist offices. Dr C is super reasonable and does EXCELLENT work. I've been here for fillings, root canal, and crowns. She's a Loma Linda grad and it reflects in the quality and craftsmanship of her dentistry. I had an appointment and came in at 9:00 am. Then was told to wait because there were many walk ins before me. I waited another half an hour and was brought in to be checked on. I wait for five minutes then was told to go back to the waiting room to wait. Five minutes later I was back in the chair. I has x rays taken of my teeth which took another half an hour only because the lady did not know how to use the system. It then took another 45 minutes to have my teeth cleaned which was ridiculous. I was then left on the chair to wait with water all over my face. I came in at 9 and didn't leave until around 11. Would not recommend this place. Today, one month later, I came back for a cleaning and a filling. Waited another 2 hours and all she did was numb me and let me sit there. When I told Dr. C how long I waited, she said "if you don't like it here, you can go to another place." Both her and the lady at the front desk were very rude. If you are looking for a place to waste 2+ hours of your day, go here. Never coming back. read more

Dr C is fantastic. I saw her on 2/11/14 and she was very understanding to my needs. I have had a substantial amount of work in the past and wanted her to check the health/condition of my teeth. She mapped out a game plan and started that same day. I feel very comfortable with her and I know I'm in good hands. (I can't say that about most dentist). Took my two year old daughter because that's where the insurance sent us. Super dirty at first I thought it was cause they were "remodeling" but went back a second time and no it's just dirty. It's not friendly customer service but I wouldn't say rude either. Anyway I waited all kinds to get my daughter seen and then he said no. He couldn't see her and didn't even try. Then referred me to another dentist office that doesn't take our insurance. All I'm saying is he could have at least been kid friendly if they supposedly see kids that young. Do not come to this place, to start with the lady at the front desk is rude and it took about 2 hours. I took my daughter there to get teeth cleaning and when we left she was crying from the pain the Dentis caused her and her gums were bleeding, when I told her all she did was defend herself instead of apologizing. If i could give this place 0 stars i would. As cliche as that sounds. My mother went here today for a NORMAL checkup. To start, her appointment was at 11am and she was not seen until 12:35pm. Whats the point of having an appt if your not going to be seen until an hour and half later??? The office even took others BEFORE her that arrived AFTER her. Secondly, she got 1 x-ray done and the DA (dental assistant) ASSUMED my mother was there for a toothache even though my mother said she was there for a normal checkup. After going back and forth and ARGUING with my mom about the nature of her visit and her insurance questionnaire, my mother tried to leave and the DA PUT HER HANDS ON MY MOTHER AND TRIED TO HOLD HER THERE AGAINST HER WILL. The oblivious Dentist came in and asked what was wrong. My mother explained that their office staff and dental staff are idiots and have given the WORST service shes ever experienced and she stormed out of there. It blows my mind how incompetent the office staff is - how idiotic the dental staff is and how oblivious the dentist is. Here's some advice Highland Village: hire office staff that give a damn about administrative work, fire the bitch DA that put her hands on my mother and try differentiating between where your ass is from your mouth, because this place is a damn joke!! read more

I have walked out of this office twice due to bad service. The first time I went to get a cleaning which I explained that to the lady she tried to give me x-rays while I was 4 months pregnant. I relayed to them multiple times I was pregnant. I got up and walked out and went to another dentist office. I went back this time because it's close to my house and I didn't think they would mess up again. But they proved me very wrong. They are very unorganized, unprofessional, and unsanitary! I waited in the chair after being numbed and I asked the assistant if the dr was ready, the Dr yelled back if she's in a hurry she can reschedule. Finally after 20 minutes she came back and told me I was all numb, which I absolutely was not. I was so angry after going through that pain that I just walked out.
