We went to Hastings on a hunt for brass fittings for a radiator. (Why Pontiac would randomly change…read morethe size of the bungs on the coolant lines of their OEM radiators, I have no clue.) Unfortunately, they didn't carry them. Which struck me as odd. They have a sizable selection of serious car parts; you can browse aisles of transmission parts, which seems like things they would keep behind the counter, as well as many things dealing with auto repair that I would categorize above a "driveway mechanic's" ability to use - head gaskets, valve springs, rods... things like that. So I took one star off because they weren't able to supply me with a simple adapter that was easily found at Murray's Discount Auto, but they definitely get four stars for having some serious parts in stock. If you're looking to do more than a tune up, I'd suggest going to Hastings, and if they don't have it, then United Auto just a mile north on Gratiot.

My tires were flying off while driving causing near death, my alignment was never done and mind you it was messed up from the drunk driver who was driving a trunk bigger than my little Pontiac and it squished it. My car has never driven better after I took it to Gratiot wheel and tire supply! Best service, understandable people and most importantly honest. My car drives like it's brand new, I couldn't be more happy I found this place. I will never trust anybody else with my car besides this place. Looking for the acclaimed and elusive shadowman Dr Phil to do your high performance tune? Bruce has the connect on that! I had a catastrophic failure where my C6 sucked a valve on a built engine. We had no idea as to what was exactly put into the build. Bruce did due diligence, solving the failure and correcting the improper build by some backyard jabroni. Bruce then sent it with Dr Phil and got a proper tune. Big improvement! Cost was competitive as always for services performed and did awesome work as per his usual! Having a good, HONEST, fair priced mechanic is difficult to find. Bruce is all that and a bottle of boost. Then his service manager Chet was put on our job. Definitely not a customer orientated person. Very rude and short with me. Constantly wanting to text message me instead of call back as I requested. After sitting in their shop with an appointment, it took almost a week before they actually actually looked at it The repair was made and failed the first day when we got it back. I took it back and they fixed it again. Reading other reviews, I see that, Customer Service is not there forte anymore, and their prices are pretty high as well. In any case, I won't be back under any circumstances.
