No. Turns out the hoses were corroded because they weren't replaced at the time of the replacement of the condenser and compressor. $500 more. Who replaces the main components and not the hoses? For inspection in January I asked for an oil change also. Then my oil light came on and I was 2 quarts low because they didn't do the oil change as requested. But they did replace brakes and rotors for over $2,000. Within a year, I have spent $5500 on my Forester at Mr. Tire. I am DONE. They have been "under new management" 3 times in less than 2 years. I found one tire at 51 pounds and 3 others at different different pressures. While checking the tire pressure I noticed each and ever wheel had damage in the same spot. The machine that holds the tire down to remove and put the new tire on damaged each wheel on the same spot. I called and spoke to Barbara and she said she would relay the message to the boss who was supposedly sleeping. I called and spoke to her again and she said the boss wanted me to get an estimate for the repairs. I got two estimates and emailed the to him. I've called numerous times and asked Barbara if I could speak ho him. About the 6th time calling she said he did not want to speak to me. I have to add while I was waiting to get my tires on the car behind me a car was being jacked up to take his tire off. The employee was rushing so much that the car almost fell off the jack. I don't recommend anyone patronize this place. I would not recommend tire giants to even an enemy of mine. Pay retail because it will end up costing you more than you bargained for. I would have settled for just the money back for the tires that I purchased. The owner would not speak to me. They have been reported to the district attorneys office as well as a tv station. Jeffrey was at the front desk and decided that since trying to jump to my battery wouldn't work, it "must be the starter." Andrew M was the technician, and when I received his inspection report, none of the codes that showed up indicated anything about a starter issue. Unfortunately, it was not the starter, as my car shut off on me while I was driving just 5 days later. When I finally got the vehicle back to my house, I called Pep Boys and explained the situation. The woman on the phone told me she'd get Jeffrey; after 15 minutes on hold, I hung up and tried again - this time no greeting, they just picked up and put my call on hold again. I tried a 3rd time, and same thing. The next day I was leaving for vacation and had to rent a vehicle, on top of the $600+ I spent with PepBoys for a part I didn't even need, to safely get to my destination. I took my car to my Ford dealership when I returned from vacation, and they discovered the issue was actually a blown #9 fuse and bad purge valve. My car has not broken down since Ford serviced it. For the past month I've called Pep Boys regarding this issue and have been told a manager reviewed my case (#154026) and will call me - I've still have never heard back from anyone. I've also emailed them at least 2 times and those have gone unanswered as well. The same day, there was an older woman who came in just minutes after me with the same issue, her car wouldn't start. Jeffrey said that was a starter issue as well; also before her car was even inspected/put to a code reader. Coincidence, or were starters a sales push during that time? Considering no one has had the decency to return my calls or emails, I suspect either a guilty conscience or willful ignorance. I'm currently filing formal complaints with various entities.

He replaced it, but damaged the harness switch in the process. He informed me to get an electrician to handle that part..., only to find out they changed more to fix that issue, than what he quoted me to replace the arm rocker. I tried reaching out to him, but to no avail.. He basically ghosted me. I just found out he did something similar to 2 other clients, and they met him on Yelp. I've been sending him messages since the job was done last Friday 11/28/2025. He likes to be paid before performing the job. Please be aware!!!!

Nuts and bolts were literally hanging off the engine not properly secure. I'm lucky the head gasket exploded when it did and not while driving on a long trip.
