This is no small feat as we have two toddlers. Jana is personable and accommodating with her schedule. She is willing to give advice on choosing a good color palette for the clothes as well as suggest locations which photograph well. You can tell she cares about her work. She is professional and reliable. The kids like her and the fact that I don't feel awkward with her is also a bonus! She was able to work with our schedules when my littles got sick, not once, but twice!

I wholeheartedly recommend her as someone to work with for capturing important life events. I was proposing in Central Coast CA on a vacation, and didn't know the area well. I had found a winery that I thought looked good, and used Yelp to connect me with a few photographers. I knew right away that I wanted to work with Jana - she was *by far* the most thoughtful, responsive, and creative photographer I was put in touch with. Jana went above and beyond in the days before the proposal, coming up with a fantastic game plan (complete with time stamps for where to be when!) to both create a special moment and keep it a surprise right up until the proposal - exactly the organization I needed. Moreover, she called the winery in advance and arranged for a bottle of champagne on ice at the proposal location, for my fiancé and I to enjoy afterwards. On the day of, Jana arrived early to the winery to identify a location amongst the vines that was both secluded and beautiful, and coordinated with staff on-site to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The photos themselves were fantastic. She beautifully captured our happiness and excitement in the moment, with amazing lighting and scenery to boot. Afterwards, we took many other photos (Jana had great ideas for poses!) and walked to a couple other locations at the winery to capture more shots of the special occasion. And, she turned them around and shared the photos with us in barely 24 hours, allowing us to smile and re-live the moment over and over again in the days following the proposal. A proposal is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and this one would have never gone off as well as it did without Jana's photographic talent, creativity in planning, and organization. I'm incredibly grateful to have worked with her, and would recommend her to anyone with an upcoming special occasion that needs a top-notch photographer! Thank you again, Jana!

After considering several, we chose SefraKay Photography because of the wonderful work she's done taking family portraits. Her response time was great, and she was very flexible to work with, especially in regards to location. Before I even paid her any money, she was kind enough to suggest several places in the area. Despite not having met her before, we felt very comfortable with her as soon as we met. She has an online system in place for scheduling and paying that is seamless and hassle-free. It even reminds you of your upcoming appointment. The pictures were taken during the Golden Hour, and came out great! We are very satisfied with these pictures and will definitely be working with her next time we go down to Pismo. Her services are very affordable and her product is very high quality. No awkwardness or stiffness (and my wife and I are not really posers by nature). We felt just like ourselves while capturing precious moments of our young family. Let me put it this way: If you are looking for some family portraits, look no further than Sefra.

I scheduled an appointment with Sefra Kay Photography a whole month in advance for engagement…read morepictures and even confirmed with her a few days before and the morning of she cancels our Session. We spent a lot of money and time getting to our location since we are from Los Angeles. I lost money on hair and makeup appointments I had to cancel. My wedding is in 7 months and now it's to late to send out our save the dates. I just feel like it was very unprofessional of her to cancel the morning of. It was a few days ahead it would have been understandable.

"Now, put your hand on your hips, d-o y-o-u knowww where your hips are at? "goo-ooood..n-ooow...take 3 steps back. o-neeeeee....t-woooo.....threee" This man was an iditot, talked to me like I was stupid and had no respect for his "customer" and other smart-ass rude remarks. I definitly regret going to him for my senior pictures. If I had known about him, I would had gone to Reflectons. As soon as we were done with the shoot, I chosed the picture, mind he even chose the WRONG PICTURE for the yearbook. He choose an awkward looking picture of me, it's been a year since I've graduated and I still haven't felt the want (without feeling awkward) to look at my own year book all because of that stupid picture he sent in to me. So thanks. Thanks for ruining my senior pictures and giving me a real crappy time. Save your money and go else where.

I feel after the experience the two nieces and I shared, that it was a blessing that I was there. I would have felt awful knowing that two young girls (seventeen and sixteen) would have had to deal with this photographer alone. It was so unprofessional to hear a man who is in charge of special time ask this particular senior to make dramatic sighs before photos which she was unwilling to make, and even more unwilling to make a dramatic sigh followed by a meow as he asked her to do. She was so unbelievably uncomfortable as were her sister and I. To make matters worse, he told her she was stuck up and had a bad attitude for not obliging to making sounds. He made comments about my degree, and discounted my efforts in college to being a great suck up.He suggested that a 3.33 GPA was not good enough to the senior he was photographing and then suggested she learn to suck up more like myself. He said things like " a Liberal Studies degree is for people who don't know what they want in life." After twenty minutes of torture with this chauvinist, he looked at the sister and said "you don't talk much you must be asleep, who can you be texting, you don't have friends (laughs)." He asked me "what is her deal (asking about the sister)?" I responded "still waters run deep" he said "what does that mean?" I responded flip at this point irritated with being put down, seeing the girls being put down, "find it for yourself." He told me "some teacher you'll make." I cannot explain the anger I swallowed in that moment, which I only swallowed trying to help preserve what was left of this special experience for my niece. After calling her parents about the matter, and getting asked to call in, I spoke with the wife who denied the rude remarks, denied herself trying to remedy his comments while the session was going on, and even worse said she asked us all in the same room if we had fun. I was infuriated that she suggested that a seventeen and sixteen year old would admit to feeling uncomfortable in front of the person who made them feel that way. The wife was crying on the phone almost in desperation, or as if my complaints weren't the first. Either way I am so sorry for my niece, and I hope no one else deals with this photographer.
