Clean comfortable lodging with everything you need to send you on a safe travel. Five stars for cleanliness and comfort. It's and older place reminiscent of the 50s and 60s auto courts. Nice family owners and operators. Quiet area of town. Highly recommend the motel for a quiet clean sleep during your travels. read more

Disgusting!! Right next to a train crossing, filthy, smelly and horribly overpriced. DO NOT STAY HERE!! The owner was nice but that's where it ends. Free high speed internet...right. You get logged on and start browsing then you are kicked off and it no longer recognizes your password then won't allow you to connect. Booking.com says it has a 7.0 rating...lies ... in fact that booking site hides that there are more than 3 motels in town!! Long long story short, we left ..didn't want to argue it out with the owner for a refund. We just counted our losses and will find another motel elsewhere. Lesson learned! Gross, my clothes stink still ugh!! I wouldn't give a star at all if I had a choice. They need a thumbs down. I hope they read this review and do something to fix the place with more than duct tape over the holes. Sick read more

If you want something cheap this place is a great deal, but if you're looking for something modern and fancy don't bother. Grateful this was the only thing open late at night and just wanted a place to rest for a few hours. The room is very outdated, but tons of space for a large family. Our room had 2 queen size beds, 2nd room with another queen bed, kitchen, and bathroom. The sheets were questionable, but I used my sleeping bag and own pillow to sleep on. The bathroom was super old but clean. This motel looks like its out of a horror movie, but super cheap and staff very friendly. 5 stars for customer service /location/price and 3 stars for actual room. read more

DO NOT stay here!! We are traveling in a group and only wanted to use the room to shower. Needed extra towels but they refused to give us any extra. We said we couldn't stay there and needed a refund. It got ugly quick. Let's just say, the man and his wife that own or run this hotel turn ugly to customers when they disagree. Cops were threatened to be called even when I yelled out the door to my friends we had to go, as the manager followed me outside and toward my vehicle. Dude definitely has a chip on his shoulder. At the end of the day, this is a run down hotel I never would've stayed at, but we were meeting a friend that was traveling through who already had a room here. He already checked into his room ( which was REALLY bad). It reeked of Curry. You've been warned. read more

On our family trip from Las Vegas to Washington & back we stopped here. All though it seems older This is the nicest motel around this area. We tried a few others. We have always been fortunate to get the family room with 3 beds which sleeps our family of 5 just fine. The owner/operator lives on site which was nice when we pulled up at 1-2am. Don't eat at the McDonald's they gave us no meat on our burgers. read more

Adequate retro style budget motel. Smooth check in with friendly and helpful staff/owner. Room a little shabby around the edges, thin blanket, and bedspread well worn. Pillows thin and flat. Bed itself firm and I found it comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave in unit, but no hair dryer. Great internet speed and availability. TV with HBO and good picture. TV channel information provided which was nice. I wasn't looking for fancy, just adequate for my one night stay. Train tracks close, but wasn't an issue for me. Cost less than $50 including tax for the night. read more

Recently while on an extensive road trip (on a tight budget) we stayed overnight at the Hilander motel. This is an older motel and is run down, however the bedding, room and bathroom were clean. The owner entered our room before we arrived that night and turned up the heat in our room so it would be warm when we arrived. A few hours down the road after our departure we received a phone call from the owners informing us we had left an expensive item in the motel. We were too far in our journey to turn and go back. The owners packaged our item and had it ready for express shipping pick - up. This is not the Regency Hyatt so don't go in expecting something like that. It is however a budget friendly and customer friendly establishment and because of these things I would gladly stay there again. read more

This place needs major renovation. However, I'm giving it 4 stars for its customer service. The gentlemen at the frond desk was super accommodating and nice. It was late and the parking lot was and he even moved his car so I could park with my trailer. The place was a little run down. But it's location and affordability made sense. Decent, but don't expect 5-star accommodations. Owners are friendly and helpful and it's the best deal in town for $55 a night. The air conditioning systems completely STINK like old cigarette smoke when you use them. I froze in my room at night during May. The heater smelled even worse like old smoke. I got sick the first 4 days I stayed here. I blame most of that on The Room. You get what you pay for. The price is nice, but it ALMOST wasn't worth the illness I suffered and freezing my butt off at night. I wish I had a small space heater. I'm shivering as I write this. It's a good deal and better than the "ThunderTurd" down the road. Only the man speaks good English, so it's best to deal with him. If I had $20 more a night. The Best Western has thermostats and rooms are better insolated. I'm handicapped and someone Always parked in my spot, so parking spots SHOULD BE LABELED, but they're not. A $1 stencil or even permanent marker on the yellow curbing could EASILY fix that. Complaining doesn't help much because other residents are assholes!! Just park in front of YOUR ROOM or by the street or I'll pop your tires!! Freezing, smelly A/C/heater and dealing with assholes were my only big complaints read more

I pass through this area of the world once or twice a year and I always stay here. I'm a lady who travels alone but I'm not the sort who needs the covers turned down at night, mints placed on the pillows and a concierge and bellhops in the lobby. If you need that, this isn't your place. If you want a safe, clean, comfortable but inexpensive place to spend the night, this is it. The steak house mentioned on the sign hasn't existed in decades and I doubt the pool ever will open again but those things aren't important to me. What is important to me, this place has in plenty. I most recently stayed Sept. 19 and, per usual, the very friendly and helpful owner was there to greet me. Per usual, he asked me my preferences and I received a clean, comfy room that is a bit out dated but it had a king size bed, a closet area and a real refrigerator that I didn't have to guess whether it was on or off (it was on and my bottled water was well chilled by morning). The bathroom had a real ceramic tub, not the plastic Chinese-made things I find in more expensive places. There were plenty of clean towels, the same sort I find in more expensive hotels. There was a spacious separate ensuite with a sink and microwave. The area is quiet and I woke well rested for the remainder of my journey. I know I will pass through again next year and, when I do, I will stay here. Also, I highly recommend the Los Pinos Mexican Cafe, which is only four doors down. read more

Had availability for our family when we needed it. Staff was very friendly and checked us in with no hassle when we pulled in around 2 am. The rooms are a bit old and outdated but for the price of $55 no complaints. If we passed through again and needed a room for the night, we would stay here again. read more
