Second reason is probably even more important than the first: there is an option for a touch-less automatic wash. While there are four self-serve bays for those that prefer to use a little elbow grease (or those with bike racks, ski racks, or other typical CO accessories), I am usually not in the mood or dressed appropriately to get all soaped up and dirty. Why would I get soaped up and dirty? Because I am vertically challenged and have yet to figure out a way to use those self-serve stations without hosing myself down in the process. Back to the touch-less wash. I had traditionally used automatic car washes that have the brushes and bristles, primarily because they have the most excellent (and free) high powered vacuums to use at the end. But I've since grown tired of getting a new scratch every time I wash my car and decided to search for a touch-less option. They are surprisingly difficult to find, so I was very happy to locate this one. Third reason, prices are fair, starting at $8 for the most basic Express wash and capping at $11 for the Ultimate wash, depending on what services you desire. I do wish you could use the vacuums for free, but I usually just make my bf do it when he vacuums his own car at home (ha). I also typically skip the dryer option at the wash, since the 45 mph speed limit on Alameda on a sunny day is typically good enough to dry the car. Overall a good car wash. Sure, it might miss a few spots, but any automatic wash will. And sure, other places may be slightly cheaper, but I'd rather keep my car from as many dings as possible, as the potential for hail damage is enough of a hassle! Be sure to check out their website, as there are free days for Vets, moms and dads, and they also sell gift cards at a discount, which could be very worth your while.

My dog is a little scared of baths (at home as well) so I turn the water on and off instead of running it constantly and that seems to help. I use the rinse cycle with my own dog soap. It doesn't necessarily look new but the equipment was in good shape and not worn. Since my car was filthy I needed to use the foam brush. The brush part looked brand new and did the job of cleaning all the gunk out from my car. At the beginning, I swiped my credit card and it only gave me about 7 minutes to complete the job. I kept going (with the foam brush) after the time had run out thinking that I'd swipe my card again to rinse the soap and spray clear coat protectant. Then this gentleman, all of a sudden, appeared in my stall with a nice smile on his face. Not only did he sprinkle salt in my stall (as it was a very cold day and there was ice in some parts of the concrete) so I wouldn't slip, he inserted more than enough quarters into the machinery so I could finish off my job! He said, "I'm the owner of this car wash." I was really shocked to see his kind and selfless gesture. He is not there to make profit; he's there to help people wash their cars by walking around with a bunch of quarters in his hands and pockets. I'll be honest: given the price they're offering, I think it's worth it. It's not a touchless car…read morewash, so there is a possibility that the brushes could scratch the paint or push in one of your mirrors. However, I appreciate that they provide complementary rags indoor and outdoor cleaner and a machine that cleaned your mats, which all complement the wash nicely. I'm pretty sure they have an area for doing other things, but I haven't tried that myself. I pay $22 a month for unlimited car washes, and I believe they offer a good deal for that price. Other car washes charge double that amount. But also, I'm never in line for too long, and the car washes quickly, so I don't have to worry about being there for more than 15 minutes. The only drawback I've found is their limited hours; they close at 7 PM, which can be inconvenient for those with other commitments, as it may be difficult to get to the car wash before they close. But as well, I'm never in line for too long and the car washes quick so I don't have to worry about being there for more than 15 minutes. On a positive note, the staff is always friendly. There's one employee, a new guy named Vance, who is especially kind and always has a smile on his face while he guides you through the process. He does a thorough job scrubbing your car.
