I'm there every summer, every chance I can get. Gia, the leasing manager goes over and beyond expectations to help out the residents here. She is so friendly, knowledgeable and just a great human being. Our Maintenance guys are awesome. Whenever a repair is needed they are here promptly. Whatever Azalea's recruiting process, they employ an extraordinary staff - one consisting almost exclusively of people much kinder, friendlier, more caring, more patient and more positive in outlook than the norm! These are people who enjoy interacting with the residents, like what they are doing, and do it well - from the chefs who cook delicious meals for the residents to those who clean residents' rooms to the nursing staff and the management. Of special note is the assistance the staff gives residents with practical matters eg. Internet/online purchases and device maintenance. The planned activities, special meals, and social events are also very popular. And Azalea has a vibrant sense of community that never feels overwhelming! I would want and expect nothing less for my parents, and I have told Azalea's staff, in taking care of my parents, they have been taking care of my sometimes-anxious mind as well. I moved in -get ready- in December, 1979. I was 30 years old and this was my first apartment. I had no clue that I would remain here for 46 years! Throughout all this time I have had (obviously) positive experiences. Effective 3/2026 the complex is under new management and there are little things that show fun positive changes. The folks in the office and the maintenance staff are professional, accomodating, helpful and a joy to interact with - even having outside contractors for say: replacement of HVAC system, water heaters (yup, I have had them) have been done seamlessly. The Staff at this apartment is extremely Rude.. I called to ask for pricing on their one bedroom…read moreapartment they told me what my budget was I told them minimum $1,200 and I can negotiate. They put me on hold and had another lady come on the phone and the first world she said was we're not trying to be rude but u can't afford this place and that they don't have any one bedroom in the $1200 range . She also went on by saying she don't want me filling out the application and wasting my $60 for the fee because I won't get accepted.(how would they know how much I make to not get accepted ) .And lied and said they had no room available. I had a friend called few hours later ask how much their one bedroom apartment was going for they said $1205 but they told me the starting was $1300 and none was available. They are rude , prejudice and racist !! All because they saw me walk up to their office while they was watching me through their big glass and saw that I was black.
