I have to say that when I was on the phone with the owner I didn't have super high expectations! My boyfriend and I have been camping across Canada for the last week (with another two months to go) and we were forced to find a hotel in For Qu'Appelle because there has been a lot of flooding in the area.
Kelly, the owner, is extremely kind and pleasant, very interested in our story. His wife makes soap and jam that is for sale in the office. (We bought a bar of vanilla and a bar of peppermint hemp). I was holding my breath when we entered the room and was EXTREMELY pleasantly surprised! It's definitely rustic, but extremely charming. Our room (#7) includes a small fridge and a coffee pot for which they provide small mason jars of coffee- giving it a very homey touch. The bed is very comfortable and the quilt is DEFINITELY hand made! Of course beneath the quilt are your typical hotel sheets, everything is very clean. There is also a television and wifi.
I wound definitely stay here again! We paid about 80 dollars for our room, one bed, two people. read more
