It's these lonesome structure that have informed you of what town your in while traveling, or identified the town's sports teams, population, they are use as navigation aid for aviation, they hold communication transmitters, weather sirens, and have even been used as message boards and even marriage proposals. You don't need to like this one in North Park or any others for that matter but you should respect what they represent and how they have served the community, so here's a little some that pays tribute to these local heroes. They mostly have games at nights starting 6:30 PM all the way to 11PM. They haver numerous leagues ranging from Coed, Just women or just Men Leagues. If you love the sport and want to join a team but you don't know anybody they will match you with teams that need players. People here are pretty friendly and are there to just have fun. They have huge bathrooms with space to get ready for your game. Prices are pretty reasonable and the fact that the fields are artificial there are games all year around. Rain or shine!!!

It is well worth it to get out and about, and especially San Diego Bay. Around 1.4 million people live in the city and 3.29-ish million live in San Diego County. That makes it the 8th largest city in California. The Bay is quite nice. Use the Ferry from Broadway Pier to cross the Bay to visit Coronado. It's a quick 15 minute trip and as of March 2026 cost $9 one way.

Yes, the pride of the Roseville area, which is this very tiny chapel, is seeking official recognition from the feds. Built in 1922 & measuring just 12 feet by 20 feet, it was constructed entirely from donations given by the Portuguese-American community. The idea was to build something like the countryside praying chapels reminiscent of what was found in the Mother Country. I have been to the chapel for various family events through the years and though it is small, the Gothic Revival architecture is very charming. The clapboard exterior walls and neatly trimmed corners of the windows and doors give the chapel a very simple but pious appearance. According to a story in the Pennisula Beacon newspaper, "the entry doors are flanked by stained-glass windows featuring a centered crown motif." And for that reason, the chapel is where the beloved Crown of the Holy Spirit is on display. Despite the tight fit inside, this chapel is really suitable for solitary praying and not big services or congregational events. Right now at the holidays, there is a creche displayed on the steps of the chapel and small twinkling white lights rim the chapel's exterior. "Achieving this designation in the National Register has long been sought by the generations of Portuguese in the community," said Association President Carl Silva. A small memorial dedicated to Portuguese sailors/fisherman who lost their lives as part of the tuna industry is located in front of the museum. The museum is only open on Saturdays from noon til 3;00 p.m. The museum was not opened during my visit. A small and charming Portuguese chapel is located across the street from the museum.
