GTC has two college campuses, Lawrenceville (main) and Alpharetta. However, the bursar office is only located at the Lawrenceville office. I never post reviews, but must say if you are looking for a real education from someone who genuinely cares and knows her job, Mrs. Thompson is the person to go to. She is truely an amazing instructor & person. Going through life changes, I decided to change careers. Although I was a bit concerned about learning something new later in life, this quickly changed. I was fortunate enough to be in Mrs. Thompson class. She has a special gift for teaching that very few people exhibit. Never once did I feel dumb or small for incorrectly doing something. I was looking forward to registering for the next semester. I've reached out to 3 times this week to Dr. White to liaison with the dept to assist me and I feel like I'm back at square one. It is so disappointing to have such disorganization, no communication from any department. I just want accomplish my goal and earn my BSN AND IT DOESN'T SEEM POSSIBLE AT CU. I did the 8 week phlebotomy course and was certified by the end of it. I definitely had more knowledge coming into the program than some of the other students but Ms. Donna makes sure everyone knows what they need to know. We drew blood on the first day that we were there! We go one at a time so Ms. Donna can watch over everyone and guide them through the steps. We did it pretty much every class, and by the end, everyone was fairly confident taking blood by themselves. Ms. Donna was the only person running the whole school when I got there. She expanded the inside to another suite so there's more room to practice and study. She is extremely talented at teaching. She'll put you on the spot about material that you learned in previous lessons, so make sure you keep up.
