They challenge warranty claims. Massive mark up on parts (45% up charge on a belt). They charge 4.5% extra for using credit or debit cards. Their attitude to after-sale service customers is very defensive & confrontational when asked about charges. The quality of their service is pretty good, but you can count on at least a week wait. Each visit, including today, has always been A+, and the folks there are always up-front, honest, helpful and quick to take care of what I need. They tried to pick up my mower from my son's house and couldn't move it even after being told to disconnect the hydraulics. They came a second time with another mower to drag it out. After getting it to the shop they told him the motor was bad but they couldn't work on it because the serial number was filed off. I would like to know how the motor was bad if they couldn't work on it. I went to his house and within 1 minute found the serial number. Just like new. Still there. I believe they just wanted to sell a new motor. They also charged him 150.00 for pick up and delivery. They should refund the money because they lied and did nothing to the mower. Hills is horrible place to do business with and they will never get any business from me or any of my family! read more
