Large cooked and cleaned shrimp cocktail 1lb
Alex T.

After eating at home for the last month, we were all looking for a change of pace. Was looking for seafood and fish since it was Good Friday for us yesterday. Decided to take a chance on Hill's. Had never tried it even though it's not far from our house. Ordered two flounder stuffed with crab, 1 lb of sea scallops, 1 lb of large cocktail shrimp that were cleaned and cooked. Also wanted to try their crab cake and a cod cake. Everything was delicious and fresh. Crab cake was very good and at 8.99 competitively priced for quality and size. We all liked the cod cake. Never had one before but it was tasty and would get again. Priced at 4.99 you can't go wrong. For a family of 4 cost was $84 and we had food leftover. So we will be back for sure. Now what really added to the experience and cemented me as a new customer was how they handled the no contact delivery of the food. It was seamless and all food establishments should look to them as an example. When I called to order, I inquired about the process since I did not want to come in the store or have to worry about payment at pickup. I spoke to Brendan who was very nice. He answered all my questions and since some the things had to be weighed, said he would call me back and take my credit card at that time. After he called I went to pick up. I was greeted by a very nice young lady who you could tell was making a point of keeping her distance. Both girls outside had masks and gloves on. I popped the trunk. Food was placed inside and after tipping her I was on my way. Hills has put thought into how to handle business in this climate. I was certainly made to feel comfortable and commend them for their efforts. One recommendation for Hills is to post pictures of your display cases. Since I've never been to the store, I don't know what broccoli salad or some of the other things looks like for example. I think that would increase sales and potential for new customers

a display of seafood

I don't live here, my sister driving me around doing errands we had some lunch (see Rams diner). I've been thinking what I needed to do for dinner, for Dad tonight. Right across the street from our gas stop was Hills fresh seafood market. Perfect! I went in believing the place was named Gill's, I thought how clever a name but it's Hills Seafood, oh well right. The store was very well kept, a display as long as the store is wide and lots of seafood waiting to be taken home. I chose some Coho salmon as I prefer it to the farm raised Atlantic salmon. (not going to get into that argument here). I got some 8-10 cooked shrimp for our starter cocktail too. Hum...Broccoli salad and a lemon filled the bag. A bit pricy naw, 3 for a seafood dinner under $50, I'll take it. The person helping was knowledgeable and courteous too. I wished the store was closer there were a few other varieties I'd like to have tried, maybe on my next visit foodguy-martin

What a fantastic addition to West Chester! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance immediately…read morestood out--energetic, lively, and yes, a bit loud (which I personally love). The decor and color palette create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. We started our evening in the speakeasy. It's on the smaller side, which I enjoy--as long as I can grab a seat! Otherwise, I might wish for just a bit more space. Once seated, our server struck the perfect balance: attentive, friendly, and incredibly patient while we took our time deciding. The food arrived beautifully presented, hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Overall, a great experience--we'll definitely be back soon!

Excitedly anticipated reservations at West Chester Seafood Kitchen and our stay out stood the expectations. Oh what fun it is to brunch!!! We arrived with 10:30am reservations, arrived and were promptly seated in the middle of the dining room. This place has so much space! The tables are proportioned about well and love the long bench seating opposed from the kitchen window. Decor is tidy and of modern aesthetic ocean vibes. Everything complemented, including the floor pattern - which I obsessed over, lol. Absolutely adored the built in and all the nautical knick knacks. Our waitress was a doll. Charming, attentive and spoke with great eye contact. We decided on eats and a mid morning cocktail. I had the standard espresso martini and my husband tried one of peanut butter variety. Both deep in espresso flavor and not too sweet. Oysters to start. A half dozen of 3 varieties. So wonderful to be able to select a few kinds to sample. We enjoyed them all. Very clean and super fresh. My husband loves horseradish, so it was so nice they offered their standard cocktail sauce with extra. The mini Tabasco sauce we had to take home as memento. Brunch entrees- my husband went part poultry and I kept true to seafood. He had first the Clam Chowder. Lumps of clam and a mid-cream broth. Nice balance of stock and cream. Potatoes did not overtake. This was light but hearty. He dove into those Chicken and Waffles with delight. A savory waffle - how can you not love. And the honey jalapeño butter, I found as much as I could to dip into. Chicken was most and crisp. Hitting all the texture and flavors- sweet, spicy, crunchy with this dish. Delicious. Now my Lobster Roll- LOBSTER!!!! This was incredible. I ate the whole damn thing. The roll was toasty and buttery. The lobster was juicy and plentiful, it was allowed to stand on its own. Didn't push up on too much mayo, or celery, or tarragon. Let the seafood shine - and it did!! The fries were hand cut, and freshly fried. Only critique was the slaw. It was just there. Would recommend to nix it. It didn't add to the dish. This Lobster Roll I will keep in my thoughts of how I am now tainted against all others. Wonderfully done. We cannot wait to venture down again and experience more of their menu. Ahoy!! Come here to eat! King of the Sea in the Dub C!
