She was not potty trained at the time, and other preschools were negative about that. However, the teacher at Hope commented that my daughter wasn't the first to come to her room still wearing pull-ups, and she would work with her on it. When I took my daughter to visit the school, the teacher engaged her and brought her into the group activity. My daughter didnt want to leave! She is now in the Pre-K room and has learned many skills that have made her more than ready for Kindergarten. She is much more confident and outgoing and enjoys learning and going to school. My son was born in June 2008 and started going to the baby room in late August 2008 when he was 8 weeks old. I have been very happy with the care he receives while at Hope. He has the same 2 teachers every day, and has developed appropriate bonds with them. He easily seperates from me when I drop him off, and enjoys playing with the other babies. The director (Debbie) and other office staff are involved with the students and go into each classroom at various times during the day. They know what is going on in each classroom and work with the children and staff to make sure the day runs smoothly for everyone.

My child was enrolled here at Hope Montessori Academy half-time for a month with the intent of…read moretransitioning him to full-time at the end of July. We decided to pull him for several reasons. 1. He was often dirty after coming home. Most days, no one bothered to clean his face after lunch, which bugs me to no end. I've had experience with multiple daycares and a dirty-faced kid is often a sign of neglect in other parts of the school. Not sure who is at fault - the teachers, or the director who doesn't hold them accountable. A clean, happy kid is what I expect when I pick him up, and this expectation was often not met. 2. The staff knew that he still needed help potty training, but one of his teachers we talked to seemed to not mind - she said just bring in extra underwear and shorts. However, we were asked by the director and his other teachers on several occasions why he hadn't been potty-trained and why he was still having accidents. Clearly, the teachers don't communicate amongst each other their expectations for my child. 3. Depending on the day, your kid may not have the same teacher. This is to be expected sometimes, but not as frequently as it did while we were enrolled there. This is confusing for any child and makes it difficult for your child to build trust with their teachers, not to mention build trust with you as the parent. 4. I felt that, since we were half time, we got half time treatment, even knowing that our kid was going to be full time by the end of July. As discerning parents, you should know that not all kids are afforded the same level of care and treatment based on how much you're being billed for their services. 5. My kid was setup to fail on more than one occasion by teachers (and directors) whose judgment should be called into question. Example: my child (2 years old) had a fascination with a bird in one of the classrooms. If you're half time, you have to pick them up by 12:30 PM - no big deal. However, when I went there to pick him up he had been removed from his normal class and was the only kid in the same classroom as the bird. This made him very excitable. He happened to have an accident at the same time, so the teachers were trying to change him. Being that he was in an excitable state, he was running around and wouldn't let anyone pick him up. They finally gave up and told me to take him home as is, with a dirty diaper on. Clearly, the teachers and director used very poor judgment when removing him from his classroom to take him into this room. Further, they refused to change him - going back to the often-dirty face cited above, this was no real surprise. Just a little background: my kid was at a "traditional" daycare for several months before. As an example, our teachers told us that he was the only kid they've ever seen that never, ever hit another kid. Overall, they felt his behavior was pretty typical for a two-year old. I thought that this school could help elevate my child, but I was wrong. To be clear, I'm not blaming the Montessori system, which I believe is good for children and a great child development system. However, Hope's neglectful and misguided implementation of the system leaves a lot to be desired. If you send your kid there, buyer beware. Hope may have a gleaming exterior, but it serves as a shield to its true, dystopic nature.

She was very irate with my husband which ultimately led to my husband hanging up on her and us pulling our son from her daycare. She then blocked me from viewing any of her daycare pages on Facebook. This must be a common thing she does when she pisses parents off, so they don't leave true reviews. I have heard from multiple other people that she flies off the handle.

Our children attended this center for several years, with their final month being July 2025. While…read morethere were positive moments earlier on, ongoing concerns regarding communication, professionalism, and consistency ultimately led us to withdraw. One incident involved our 7-year-old being required to lie down in a toddler classroom during rest time without a blanket or pillow. We were not notified the day this occurred and only learned about it after our child disclosed it. Two teachers later confirmed the situation. When we met with the owner, the concerns about age-appropriateness and lack of same-day communication were not clearly addressed. Communication regarding behavior was inconsistent. In this instance, it was presented at pickup on paper rather than communicated when it occurred. Families also paid a separate summer activity fee in addition to tuition, yet multiple scheduled field trips were canceled due to transportation or other issues. There were also concerns about privacy practices. Prior-year tax documents were taped to the front door and left unattended. After withdrawing our children, I had to follow up to obtain required paperwork. How this was handled ultimately prompted me to write this review. Although our children left in July 2025, the tax document issue reinforced broader concerns about transparency and professionalism. After posting reviews on other platforms, I was contacted privately by an employee. I was later unable to access the business's Facebook page. This review reflects my direct experience. After dropping him off for his first day, they called me about 2 HOURS later saying he can not return and this is not going to work. I asked why, they said he was "loud" and mouthing toys. I went to pick him up immediately afterwards. I don't want him in a place that doesn't want him. After requesting for a full refund, they gave me the run-a-round and made a threat to call the cops. They are not inclusive. They didn't even want to give my son a full day/week to adjust him to a new environment. The kids are like zombies. Unable to be kids. Not a friendly place. Rude Ladies. Breakfast is $1 a day if you need it (which when we're running late is great). They take government daycare assistance. For full-time 5 days a week care it runs around $130/week. The front play area is spacious. The back classroom area is set up like a school room. The outside area is kinda small though, which is kinda a downside I guess, but they do what they can with their limited outdoor space. They only take cash or check though, no credit cards.
