We have gone 2 full weeks without working air conditioning. After contacting the leasing office 4 days after submitting a maintenance request, I was told they would call me back with an update on when we could expect repairs. They have yet to call me back. The associates in the leasing office clearly don't care and it shows in their attitude over the phone. They asked me if I have a fan I can use, as if we aren't doing everything possible to remain cool in 90+ degree weather. This is the second summer in a row having the air conditioner go out. I understand they have other request for air conditioning units throughout the community but there is no excuse for not having a/c still after 14 days. I don't like leaving negative reviews but this community has done such a poor job at providing the amenities promised in the lease agreement. I reached out to Quest management via email and they too have yet to respond. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone I know or care about and I haven't even touched on lack of pest control or no parking available-- maintenance repairs previously done half ass, covering pre-existing holes with oversized cutouts of drywall and nails or bathtub coating that peel off after a few cleanings. Repairmen have tried to fault me for needing repairs even though the appliances are old and outdated. They try to get in and out as quickly as possible rather than doing quality work or hiring a proper contractor. I could go on and on. read more

I would never recommend these apartments; last winter, we went almost two months without heat, and it took them far too long to fix it. I'm supposed to be paying higher rent because the apartment has a washer, but it doesn't work. Now, in the summer, the air conditioning has broken down, and the apartment is 89 degrees. read more

I am the furthest thing from happy. Ive contacted the maintenance/emergency line and was unable to get the name of the disrespectful man's name - even after 3 phone calls I could not get a hold of someone worth talking to. even after this, there was no attempt to listen to my issues to get them resolved. instead, they have such a United front, that they will disregard your concern in the same breathe. I cannot live with mold in the house, the flooring is too hard, the washing machine JUST got fixed after me complaining for 4 days about it. this has been the most frustrating process and working with the ladies in the office - Jackie and the other woman, they were no help. The only decent people are the two men inside that office who unfortunately has to listen to them as they are the "bosses". if you have a choice, do NOT COME HERE TO RENT. especially if your desperate, they will use it against you. read more

I have been here for 7 1/2 years, and I am satisfied with my living conditions. No pests and my neighbors are quiet. Just had my water heater replaced and it was done with perfection as always. Maintenance has always been good for me. Walking distance to the Metro and bus stops available. Main office is always courteous and professional like the maintenance crew. 0 stars Please let my testimony be the thing that deters you from signing your life away. After I was approved a few days later, I was told to sign the lease which is absolutely unusual. You normally don't sign until move in day and the money is in their hands. I still had yet to see the unit or pics. A few days later I was told that my move in date was pushed back. Then pushed forward again. They refused to send me pics, I asked repeatedly, I finally received pics the night before I moved in, at that point it was too late. The apartment was so outdated. I just had to giggle. I had never seen a washer that needed to be connected to the kitchen faucet. The fitness center / business center is a joke. They don't have wifi in there and the tv doesn't work. The computers are outdated and the printer doesn't work. In my unit I noticed a multitude of insects ; Roaches, spiders, crickets. A centipede crawled from out of my pillow. One night at around midnight I heard water. The walls started to saturate. My apartment was flooded within minutes. I had to salvage what I could . I called maintenance but there was nothing They could do. I had to walk to a hotel. Returned in the morning and management refused to put me into another unit or even reimburse me for my hotel stay. She told me they would suck up the water and put the carpet back down. I told her that wouldn't suffice, there was internal damage to the walls that would definitely lead to mold and there was dirt. The unit had no access to open windows . Afterwards I gathered more of my things and wandered aimlessly because I had no place to go. Contractors were in my unit. I sat on the office steps. I decided to go back in again and spoke again with the two managers. Quineice was more accommodating and credited me for the money I had spent on the hotel. After speaking with maintenance and him telling them that this was not a one day thing and the damage was severe, Juanita suddenly had another unit to place me into. I had to work at 4pm and they moved my items in their person vehicles. Thank you to maintenance for helping. Management pressured me to leave a positive review after that. In the new unit there are so many spiders and there is a rodent problem in this building. There are both mice and rats. Ive contacted maintenance and pest control has come as well but all they have done is remove my traps that I had and put new ones. I also asked them to clean the carpets because you can visibly see rodent feces and urine lining the walls in the closets. Absolutely horrible and dangerous to breath in. They didn't care, Noelle told me "they can't do that". Also I lost air conditioning for two weeks. Maintenance came a week after I called them and he told me he fixed it when he didn't. It actually needed a part. I ran it for days waiting for the air to kick in, it was over 80 degrees in my apartment in August / sept . The second maintenance guy came and said they needed a day to get a part for the air conditioning and that he would follow up. I also spoke with Malik who recently was given a promotion and told me he would follow up, he never did. I went without air conditioning. I am a minimalist so I live with less anyway but I didn't even bother to fully furnish my apartment because I was so unhappy. All I had for the past year was a mattress and bed frame. I've been counting down the months and I am so grateful that the nightmare is over. Also so glad that I didn't furnish the place because almost two months before my lease was up my upstairs neighbors left their faucet on and caused water damage to my apartment from the ceilings. I was able to get out of my lease early because Juanita knew how much crap I had been through with them in addition to a pandemic. I had a new puppy that I got the same day that the second flood occurred and I didn't even go through the necessary steps to add a pet to my lease agreement because I would be moving within 20 days. This is no place to live, especially if you have small children. These places are charging an arm and a leg for four paper thin walls. I can hear my neighbors cough, sneeze, even pee. Office staff is mostly incompetent (excluding Lauren) but they will try to make you seem dumb. There's a lot of gaslighting going on. I definitely fought to hold my composure because most are talking robots that think they're good at customer service when in fact they're not. Most are very impersonal and weirdly scripted. Typical disturbances ( domestic violence , loud music, etc) and weed smoke from other residents but that was the least of my problems. Quest, Please do not comment saying "sorry for your experience blah blah." I know it's all about money but at least give residents the bare minimum. After informing Lisa I had an ESA, she didn't understand what that was; I tried to explain however she would pick random words I said and would stop me. She denied me a viewing based on ignorance of the law. It is illegal to deny services to a protected class, even out of ignorance. Worse yet, she wasn't interested in learning what ESA is. If that's how she's going to be with a prospective tenant, I can only imagine how she is once you move in. She tried to say something about the stays in the street, lady, my cat is not a stray. I have put in many complaints with management with no results. I pay entire too much for this, its consistent with the neighbors over top of me 12am...1am.2am up until 4am! I've hit on the ceiling multiple times...and it doesn't work. Where's the common decency...common courtesy. Living here has been a miserable experience for the pass year. I am a current resident, just 90 days in. I picked this complex because the size of the kitchen and walk in closet. The apartment is a great size as well and the balcony/porch is perfect. However, upon my first week moving in a mouse ran out in front of me. Requested pest control they came out. But in the first month this same request was made 3x. Avoid HILLTOP APARTMENTS LIKE ITS THE PLEG. New management ,same old mentality. The owner accused my daughter and I of being disrespectful simply because we politely asked her to have the mouse in my kitchen by the sink removed as soon as she could.I personally made 2 visits and a phone call the previous day.They opened 1 hour late so my first visit was at 10:15am, second visit to the office at 3:10 pm and no respond to my 5:45pm phone call and they close at 6:00 pm.So at 10:10 the very next morning we both go to the office to complain again and that's when and why we were accused of being disrespectful.I had to call back 1 hour later and wait another 15 minutes for the removal of a mouse caught and crying for over 39 hours.I am totally saddened with how we treat each other, especially those who have the power to make peace or a miserable tenant.Only God knows how bad that young lady made me feel.Thats what 1,350.00 dollars will cost you at :HILLTOP APARTMENTS. I moved my things out of this apartment May 24, 2018 turned my keys in this was the end of my lease. I left this place in way better conditions than I received it in. I had to call a cleaning service to come in before I felt anywhere near comfortable to stay in there. Then the bugs and mice caused me to seal my things up and move out until the lease was up. To this date after many contacts and lies from the management I have not received my security deposit. It is currently September 21, 2018. I was told it would be mailed in 45 days. I was told the person who was handling it was no longer there, I was told by the current manager who was the person that I first rented from in May of 2017 that she was sick and would get right on it. I have lived at hilltop apartments for over 5 years now, and they have recently gone under new management and I must say I am disgusted with the way these young ladies conduct business. I have had several altercations with the management staff involving things such as replacing my oven, repairing my ac unit, and even the removal of rodents from my home and on all of these occasions the management/maintenance team have stalled and given me the run around. These issues may seem minor to them but not being able to cook what I would like because my oven is broken, nearly melting in the summer, and not being able to do laundry or cook at all because there's a mouse in my kitchen on the traps are all major issues to me. read more

I also had issues with mice, roaches and unorganized staff. Things were breaking and I had cracks in the ceiling that would leak when it rained. No one ever came when I requested maintenance. With the mice and roaches they would send someone from this random pest control company who would just recklessly spray something all over my stuff and leave. It was as if they were spraying water nothing happened. The rental office would lose my checks for rent and sent me notices saying they would take me to court if I didn't pay. It's a shame they are charging people so much for trash apartments simply because it's near the metro station. read more
