I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I had been receiving Candid treatment at this office and had generally intended to finish my treatment despite some earlier communication issues. There was confusion regarding my treatment and a voicemail I received about trays. I later met with the office manager to clear things up, and although we remembered parts of the situation differently, I went out of my way to apologize for the confusion (even though this was clearly not just on my end) and thought we had agreed to move forward. At my next appointment, instead of discussing my treatment, the dentist immediately became confrontational. He told me that "his entire staff" thought I complained every time I came into the office. Which is not true, I have mentioned it to the hygienist due to sensitivity or joked to staff to take the bare minimum off because I hate the feeling of an ipr. I have never criticized the dentist. I simply have concerns about one tooth. I was also told previously that an assistant had reported I used profanity on a phone call, something I genuinely do not believe I said, and the manager had not personally heard it. (Also went in with a smile on my face, with contractions and days away from giving birth. Because I wasn't seeking any form of drama.) As a patient, I found it upsetting that staff opinions were being presented to me rather than focusing on my care. When I tried to explain that there seemed to have been communication issues, I was interrupted. The conversation took place in front of my young child. I left without completing my treatment because I no longer felt comfortable or respected. Patients should be able to ask questions, express concerns about sensitivity, and seek clarification without feeling labeled as a "complainer." I also am not, nor ever said that I am seeking perfection. I requested another set of trays because we paid a lot of money for these and I have spent a lot of time to quit now. So again making me feel like I am asking too much for basic care. I hope the office reflects on how patients are spoken to, especially when misunderstandings occur. Respectful communication goes a long way. Assuming the worst in someone, without clarifying, is not a good like for any business, especially in medical. read more

First time going & last ! Even though I get two cleaning & x-rays a year from my insurance they refuse to clean my teeth unless I got a deep cleaning....The hygienist said it would be like polishing a turd ! The estimate was over $4000.00 on the "deep cleaning" I said I just want a regular cleaning that my insurance pays for like every dentist I've been & the estimate woman / *closer* says NOT in this office!!! The prices discussed over the phone and at check-in were quadrupled during the office visit. They took an x-ray, told me I had a bad tooth, which is what I thought I made an appointment for, and they tried to sell me a bunch of unnecessary services, plus told me they couldn't remove the tooth then and I would have to make another appointment. The dentist accidentally cut my lip with his tool that they use to poke at your teeth. Have no idea what it's called. The sharp pointy thing. I told him he cut me and his response was I'm sorry with zero care in the world. All they want is money. They try to sell you everything they can and tell you your insurance wont cover it when they don't even know if they will. The one female tried to say I was not in network and I absolutely was and she discovered this an apologized. I wont be back. read more

would have to agree with the other bad review, overpriced they do not honor their quotes, then hold your treatments as hostage until they can extort payment from you, between double billing and overpricing they refunded $450.00 once called on it, this time I need to decide if small claims court is worth the hassle or not for the additional $350.00 they charged beyond my quote, really bad way to treat your customers you ass hats. read more

DON'T GO HERE! Terrible place. Had 23 teeth extracted for dentures. No alveoplasty (bone filing) and no stitches. 3 months of pain and costed me $1500 more to get it fixed. The dentist that did fix it could not believe the botched job they did and the assistant said that the softline that they put in the denture was hideous. Do not go here for dentures. They do not know what they are doing and you will definitely be sorry later. read more

The biggest rip off in town. Way over priced. They charge 2X what the insurance allows and do not honor the PPO. Expect the so called estimates to be off by 50% of the total bill. The billing department is really messed up. The insurance department forgets to bill to insurance. They are happy to send out the bills to you on time. Never going back. That is a direct reflection of the dentists not running their business with the customers in mind. read more

Greedy and unhelpful. Since opening their new office their quality of care has gone to the crapper. Charged over $300 for a five minute bit of work, then told me to just take some advil for the pain of having a tooth removed. Contacted Hilltop for some emergency dental work. While on the phone with them, I specified what I needed to be done and to my surprise they told me I could stop in that day. After telling them about the work I needed to have done, along with the fact that I informed them that my teeth were in incredible pain, I was under the impression that they could help me that day after stopping into their office and seeing the doctor I was told that I would need to come back to have the work done (in about 13 days). I told them I was under the impression that they could do the work that day (after all I had spoken to their staff about needing emergency work done asap and was told to come on in). They then got slightly hostile telling me that no was was I under the impression that they could do the work that day (funny how they know what I am thinking..is also odd that I told my boss that I was going to the Dentist to have a tooth pulled and fillings done) They perpetually insist (somewhat forcefully) that I was definitely NOT under the impression I could get work done (I tried to explain that I was under that exact impression and it seems there was a slight communication breakdown but again they insisted that it was all but impossible for me to have expected to have work done the same day). The lack of caring from this dentist slightly concerns me, I specified that I was in moderate pain as of right now, and as the day wears on the pain gets beyond intolerable but they refuse to either do work or prescribe any sort of painkiller or antibiotic. I would avoid this dentist at all costs because while the give the illusion of caring, that is all it is, an illusion. It appears that all they wanted was office visit $ since I informed them if they could not do the work I would most likely have to go out of state to my old dentist for resolution of this issue (Teeth pain) Doctor was rude and condescending when I attempted to speak with him regarding my impression (that they would do work that day) along with his refusal to prescribe any sort of painkiller (since they telling me I have to wait another 13 days for them to help me) I hope this review helps others avoid my tragic mistake read more

Dr Gallup and all the staff here have always been amazing. I have never been a fan of the dentist and tend to have a bit of dental anxiety, Dr. Gallup always put my my mind at ease and makes me feel more like family than just a patient. I love that they do follow up calls to check to see how we are doing after a root canal etc...They go above and beyond if you ask me. I would recommend them to anyone!! read more

I have periodontal disease. Consequently, it is recommended that I receive cleanings every 3 months. My insurance, Delta Dental, pays for two Periodontal Maintenance Prophy. code D4910 each year and two Prophylaxis code D1110 each year. To make sure insurance will pay all of my cleanings each year, I have to make sure that these two codes are alternated. I see Michael Davis as a periodontist and highly recommend him. I scheduled an appointment with Hilltop Dental to receive a general teach cleaning (Prophylaxis code D1110). Upon checking in at the time of the appointment, I further confirmed that I would receive a Prophylaxis code D1110 that day so that my insurance would pay for it; theyindicate that this would not be a problem and they would bill it according. Then I receive the EOB from my insurance company. Hilltop erroneously code the procedure as a D4910, which means I have pay a greater portion of the fee; in addition, it messes up how soon I can have my next teeth cleaning. I contacted Hilltop Dentistry and told them how they mistakenly coded my procedure and ask them to recode it and resubmit it to insurance; they refused. Talking with Delta Dental, they could change the code, they are just choosing not to do so. Due to Hilltop Dentistry rigid and untruthful business practices, I am financially liable for a great portion of my dental costs and have to wait longer to receive my next teeth cleaning. Needless to say, I am very unimpressed and disappointed with the lack of competence and integrity espoused by Hilltop Dentistry. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same. read more
