About to follow legal action with this company. One they over charge junk charges, two they have poor maintenance even leaving exposed wires in a child's room, putting off fixing black mold until move out (6 months of back and forth) Alexus is very nasty and rude horrible attitude and illiterate considering she can't read a contract and illegally sold wrong debt 2 times. Thankfully I have proof of every lease violation, maintenance issue, attitude and video evidence of her manager confirming her mistakes. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! Slumlord management! I'm a current renter living in a run down apartment with ongoing black mold problem which has ruined my belongings and I'm not surprised that my children and I are most likely experiencing migraines just from the exposure of black mold. Not to mention the lack of communication happening here, I have in two separate occasions put a maintenance order in and then to find out it's canceled when trying to alert the regarding the mold issue and the lack of ventilation in this apartment. What apartment has sealed windows in the living room area and only having bedroom windows that only open. The only access to somewhat ventilation. Also can't cook without the alarms going off because the fans are worthless when there is no access to ventilation. In the 2 Yrs I've been here I have only successfully been able to get someone on the phone a handful of times with no problems resolved. Also water bill is so high $200-$300 when I'm barely even home or my kids get home til late. Their reason I'm for it being high is because the building shares water usage in one and it's divided by the people who live in the same building. I regret moving me and my kids here! I have called code enforcement and health department and reported the issue but seems no one cares. If there more tenants who are reading this and have same problem we should get together and file a civil lawsuit against this property management! read more

I have had a very bad experience at a new tenant. We looked and signed for this apartment on October 1st i believe. To start, they were very sketchy with explaining the amounts to reserve the unit vs the application fee/deposits. It told days of back and forth texts to get it resolved. There is no on site humans. You have to go to the neighboring complex for help. On October 5th Once we got the door codes to move in, we notified them of several issues with the unit. We made maintenance requests up front, and they were not even started until a week later. They still have not all been resolved. Leaking water heater (which had been fixed), bumpy floors (main bedroom floor still has a part of the floor peeling up exposing underneath), gnats living in the garbage disposal (which is rusted along with the bathtub drains) all costs have bent shelving, living room walls have cracking peeling noticeable paint, dirty patio space, baseboards that have no caulking, exposing gaps throughout the unit, and finally the kitchen cabinets were not fully filled and tightened together (which has been fixed) On October 11th, while moving in items, we were stopped in person by two individuals outside the unit. They advised that we should contact the office and get another unit due to a recent German Cockroach infestation that was going in the building causing the last tenant to move. We contacted the staff, and were told that they got an exterminator and everything should be fine. Not once during the entire lease signing, or after did they disclose the pest issue to us. They refused to place us in another unit once available, and they will push you to use their 30 day lease cancellation after you have already moved your things in. They are very well aware that i have a medical reason to have a medical grade sterilized home, and they have done nothing to help. There is no way to contact a district manager or corporate either. All in all, they have been of little help, and very dishonest. I wouldn't recommend this place at this time to anyone. Maybe that will change throughout the duration of the lease we are now stuck in due to the price of moving again, and apartment availability at another complex. read more

We were looking for a specific number of room, we arrange the tour because we seen what we wanted online, when we got there and scanned the QR code we seen (available) only 1bed 1 bath. I hope everyone has read the comments, AND read the replies! They do a great job seeming concerned on here and doing absolutely NOTHING to fix it. Mold has been reported multiple times because of bad windows and seals, and when it was mentioned to the complex their response first was that the windows would be replaced immediately by a specific date. When the date arrived, they neglected to respond to being contacted. After 2 weeks when they finally did reply they said they never had order the windows because it wasn't in their budget. Unbelievable. It is to the point where everyone in the apartment has gotten sick and we are working to get medical proof. The bugs are ridiculous. We can't even enter the apartment without being swarmed with flies and constantly are finding all sorts of them inside the apartment. Nothing has been done. I hope you don't want to walk in the grass, it is not managed whatsoever and is filled with dog feces. And who knows what is all over the entryways. The cob webs, broken rain gutters that spray you walking in, and ESPECIALLY the dirt (possibly worse?) that's all over the walls of the entry way make it look like it should be condemned. There is absolutely no one ever onsite to control anything, it's vile to arrive to, it smells constantly from the trash, and don't expect to have anyone ever to visit because there is no parking anywhere unless you, like many people, decide to park in the street on the fire lane. I have been renting at Hilltop for several years now, I can attest to several things: * Any repairs you file in their system will not be looked into for a week or more (a week is fast for them) * Your water can be shut off at ANY time, with NO warning whatsoever. They won't bother warning you it's about to happen, and it happens quite often. * I hope you like dogs barking and stepping on dog excrements, because there's plenty of that happening here! Other residents will have 3 gigantic dogs in a small 1 bedroom apartment and not pick up after their dogs outside and they couldn't care less about getting any of that under control. * Apartments are full of bugs, inside and out. They don't bother pressure washing the carports or entryways, so your cars and doors are covered in spiders and webs. Great for Halloween I guess. * I've lost some nice dishes when the kitchen cupboards suddenly broke apart. We're not even going to discuss the kitchen drawers, covering everything in powdery stuff from the wood that is slowly breaking down. They threw up their hands and went "well I can't fix this". Truth is they should have remodeled the place 10+ years ago, but then that would have cost money! * The trash and recycling area is a complete mess. It's nowhere near big enough to accommodate such a large community and it's never cleaned up. It smells really bad from a great distance. I feel bad for the residents in the building right next to it. * Yes, as people have mentioned your car will be broken into at some point, also be careful walking around outside the place in the evening or at night. There's a lot of crime since no one is on site to keep an eye on the place. I'm not even covering everything that is wrong to be honest. The place is dirty, unsanitary, unkept, unsafe, management is non existent, and rent is REALLY HIGH for such poor, not all that safe neighborhood to live in. Unit N smell disgustin. Someone recently move in to the unit N and omg the smell is horrible i told the office and nothing was done they don't tell then anything.nothing has been fixed. Building N looks like a homeless home because of how dirty and ugly AND NOW THE SMELL JUST HORRIBLE. No parking at ALL. Overpriced here and not a single person on site. Outside bulding N there is so much so much poop. There is a few latinos that park in the guest parking ( THEY NEVER PAY AND THEY JUST SWITH CARS NOT LETTING OTHER PEOPLE PARK ) that listen to music like it's their home??? They all talk so loud and drink there leaving bottles of alcohol. Just dirty. APARMENT N1 NEEDS TO BE CHECKED IT SMELLS HORRIBLE AND DISGUSTING SND A CAT IS ALWAYS CRYING I AM SURE HE JS NOT TAKEN CARE OF. If I could give 0 stars I would! My family and I moved in last December.. since we moved in we've had multiple concerns , the second day we moved in the heavy kitchen cupboard out of no where fell on my 1 1/2 year old child cracking their head.Our stove is a "bomb" the lowest setting is high, and the highest setting , truly shouldn't even be able to get that hot . They had a handyman come and check it, just to say it turns on so it's fine.. right before they fired the matenence team we had another matinenceman come asess and he said they can replace it because it is a serious hazard, as well as showed me how to turn it off with the breaker box if ever needed. Now nothing. We have no one to help. We got locked out of our apartment in the rain with our two toddlers, because they have weird door locks, ours had lost connection? and again no help because there is no onsite team ever we had to climb up the wobbly balcony that feels it can fall any minute !! The apartment inside and out are infested with every kind of bug you can think of just to get to your door you're having to push webs/ spider eggs out of the way, the pool, dark green! when they did open it for about three months it had to be closed again because it wasn't opened legally! And everyone started getting ring worm, residents having sex in the bathroom while kids are around. No seal around the apartment perfect for bugs to get in! Paint not sealed so it's peaking off , easy for children and pets to ingest! The playground for months had couch parts and broken metal/ weird trash all over. Now a month before our lease renews they're hitting us with an eviction, and again we can't get through to anyone because of how horrible the management is for this complex. We lived here for 2 years and it was pretty decent. Slightly overpriced in my opinion especially due to the crime rate around the area and how often we get warnings of cars and mailboxes being broken into and what not... there was even 2 times we can recall that we ran into people under the influence of not alcohol or weed and lucky we were ok, the police took one of them. Not quite sure what happened to the other guy. Also didn't really love how our upstairs neighbors were usualy loud, in both units we were in. The walls are probably thin. What I absolutely love though was the maintenance man! He was absolutely everything and just very friendly, efficient and professional! I hope he is getting treated fairly over there because he is a big part of that community! P.S. The pool and trash area was usually dirty and the gym does not look like how they she it in the pictures.. some equipment are missing. Regardless of all these things, we were whiling to stay longer but like I said, price is definitely overpriced. read more

The woman showing us around went to show us outside of the unit, and when she opened the door to the storage closet for that unit there was two homeless people in there. it smelled terrible, the people were in there doing drugs, looked like they used the space to sleep too. I kid you not!!! I couldn't believe that had just happened.. The woman showing us the unit apologized and told them to leave, and continued showing us the apartment. We have been at Hilltop in the Highlands for about six months and still love our new home. It is quiet, safe, and close to everything we need. Moving from across the country to a home, site unseen, was difficult. You don't always get what you see online. However, that was not the case with Hilltop in the Highlands. We are completely satisfied with our home. We had one maintenance issue with the ceiling fan in the living room. I placed a maintenance request on the app and within 3 days, it was repaired. I've lived here a year now. My experience hasn't been superb, but in a city like Renton I didn't expect my dream apartment, that's for sure. I live in a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment and I love the layout. I have a huge walk through closet and enough room in the bedroom to comfortably fit my desk. The living room has a wood-burning fireplace and came with a 42" flatscreen TV on the wall. Some of my kitchen appliances like the stove and dishwasher have seen better days, but the maintenance staff has always fixed my repair requests promptly. The work out room is always empty, as well as the hot tub (which, sadly has been "out of order" for about 2 months) and tanning bed. The pool is nice when it's really really hot out, but it's not heated, so any other time it's just cold. Something I was disappointed in a few months ago was when our mailboxes were burglarized. It was the post office who notified residents, not the management. I am, though, impressed with how they handle tenant disputes. My building is primarily Hispanic tenants and they are very quiet and respectful. I love it since I have to get up very early for work. Unfortunately, a not so pleasant tenant moved in on my floor and does not get along with, well, just about everybody. Fights erupted and police were called. I sat down with the management and discussed the situation around me (thankfully I'm not involved) and they were extremely willing to fix the situation for my safety and well being and peace. They took care of the situation immediately and forcefully and if need be are willing to let me move units. I appreciate their helpfulness and friendliness. Now if only I could get better neighbors. Oh yeah, when they say tennis court, don't believe them. There is no net. That made me sad. read more

Just moved in and am loving it! Wait, who wouldn't if they used to live at Wasatch Hills. The staff here is so nice. Even though they are always busy, it's because they are busy for the tenants and future tenants. They are the same management as Crown Pointe which I used to live 5 years ago. They give respect, honesty and trust to their tenants. In return expects to receive the same. I am so glad I move here. Nice, clean, quiet. 42" LCD in the living room. Do wish the arm extension would go further out so I can see from the kitchen but can easily be changed. Big and roomy. Do wish there was a little more guest parking near the B bldg but I don't have many guests over...yet. :) No one outside smoking drugs at the stairway. No bebe kids running around jumping on your stuff, hitting your car or just screaming. Hope to stay for years. My son and I are just so happy here! read more

I've been living here 3 months now, and I have nothing but great things to say. The leasing process with Princess went very smoothly. She was very helpful and friendly, and responds to emails promptly. The one time I had to submit a maintenance request, it was taken care of the next day. There is at least one maintenance person on the grounds every day, from what I can tell. The company is making upgrades to the grounds and landscaping this summer, which can be a little bit of a nuisance sometimes, but shows that they care about the safety and comfort of the residents. The apartment itself was in good condition when we moved in, with no issues. I very rarely hear our neighbors, and it's never actually been disruptive or an issue. Everyone I've run into is friendly, including the dogs. There's plenty of partially fenced grassy areas for dogs around all the buildings. I also appreciate the amenities, including the hot tub (my fave). The only complaints I can come up with are that the gym doesn't have a ton of options, and the second parking space I have is a bit of a hike from my apartment. But for the price of living here, I'd say these are very minor quibbles. read more

I have lived in this complex for 5 years now and just renewed for another year. I started in a 1 bedroom/1 bath and as my family expanded, I was able to transfer very easily to a 2 bedroom/2 bath. Both layouts are extremely spacious. The office staff is very on top of things and very friendly. The maintenance team is also incredibly quick and efficient. Jim, in particular, is very considerate and pleasant. Whenever he responds to a maintenance request, he shows up as soon as he can and does a great job fixing the issue very quickly! He is very kind and hardworking! My husband and I really feel comfortable living here because of the staff, both office and maintenance. We would, and have, recommended it to friends. read more

I like the layout of the apartment and jts convenient location to my job. Overall I would NOT recommend it and strongly dislike living here. My number one pet peeve is that I find it ridiculous that we have to pay for parking. Not even one spot is included, and the alternative is a ridiculous option. What angered me the most is when the recent snow storm hit, the parking lot was NEVER cleaned of snow when the roads had been fine for days but residents could not get out. I cannot stress enough how much I dislike this complex and their policies. And I also hate that they do lawn work so early in the morning. The buildings need upgrading, not the damn trees at 8am. What I also hate about living here is the fact that I can hear my downstairs neighbors and all the noise that they do. Why the hell is that possible? I shouldn't be able to hear anything since I am on the third floor. read more

Was a tenant at this apartment complex for a year. It was a clean and very safe place for myself and daughter. The maintenance team there can not be beat! Any problem reported was always fixed asap. The management team is awesome. Jesse Serna was a pleasure to work with from beginning to the end of our lease. Always striving to make it a better place for everyone. Very pleasent to talk too. Princess and Marianne were also very helpful when needed. Highly reccommend this complex to anyone. Only left to be closer to work. read more

To anyone looking to lease or do a tour of an apartment from this property this is for you. Please know that even if you schedule an appointment to tour their property in advance that the staff here could care less about respecting your time and they will even be a little rude about it. I fully understand that apartment availability changes all the time, what I don't understand is that if you know an apartment is no longer available why you wouldn't inform the person that scheduled a tour in advance that they may not want to come. To top it all off maryanne was rude when letting me know that they no longer have an apartment available, instead of realizing the mistake and apologizing she continued to say things like 'well we don't have anything available to show you'. Not once did she even ask when I was looking to move in or try to remedy me feeling I wasted my time by coming. Ultimately if maryanne is an example of how the management and staff is at hilltop then I think I dodged a bullet and hopefully you can too by reading this. read more

Lived here for one year and it was awful.The management is unhelpful and basically impossible to reach at their offsite office. We were not able to live in our apartment for five days due to a maintenance issue, and the apartment manager was unreachable. Security is a big problem- windows of cars were smashed and theft was an issue several times. The walls and ceiling are incredibly thin so you can hear your neighbors at all times. There were constant problems with mold and spiders year round. The parking lot is not well maintained- there are several dangerous pot holes, and the signage and numbers on the parking spaces are often unreadable. The appliances broke down consistently, and the fixtures are very cheap and low quality. Definitely not worth the amount they are asking in rent. read more
