I was referred to Hilltop due to pelvic floor dysfunction from my son's delivery. I had no control of my bladder; not only sneezing, coughing, and exercising caused leaks, but throughout the day and night, I would have to wear pads for incontinence. This issue affected every aspect of my life, as well as became a burden on our finances, as buying pads every few weeks is no small thing. The first appointment I had, the receptionist set me up on a schedule, (twice a week) and booked all the appointments through two straight months so I would be certain to be seen. Leah was amazing in walking me through every exam and work out, telling me I was in control every step of the way, and to let her know if I was ever uncomfortable or in pain. She respected my privacy, explained the reasoning behind any intimate questions she had, and made me feel completely at ease in her care. Kristen helped fine tune problem areas, and gave me additional advice and exercises. I admit, her methods were less comprehensible to me, but no less effective. Both therapists were wonderful, and I highly recommend them. I am now at the point where I am progressing enough independently that today was my last appointment. My issue that used to affect about 86% of my life is reduced to a mere 25% issue. Because of the personalised work outs, therapies, and professional help I was given, I have every reason to believe I'll recover fully by the time my son is weaned. I hope more women become aware of services like this to help restore pelvic floor function after childbirth. I will recommend anyone who needs PT to Hilltop physical therapy! Especially pelvic floor therapy. The two therapists that I have been working with are amazing very knowledgeable above and beyond any therapist that I have ever been treated by. They not only treat the area but the whole body, as we all know other parts of the body can be affected by injury. I have been involved in sports my entire life, and have had nagging pain that previous therapists could not manage. I trained in martial arts for 12 yrs and have had my fair share of injuries. I felt skeptical about some of the exercises but trusted in their process, and did my exercises at least 4-5 times a week. I feel I'm at the end of treatment and that's why I waited to put a review. I also suffered with pelvic discomfort for 24 years!! Doctors made me feel crazy about my pain. I bounced back from obgyn to Gastro doctors. Testing for UTI, yeast, bacteria all negative every dam time, still had no answer. Also had several colonoscopies & endoscopies with no answers. Finally a PA through my women's care referred me to Hilltop. Best decision I ever made. Kirsten Park is so in depth knowledgeable about the womans body, what nerves are affected, breathing, and muscles that affect the pelvic floor. Zina has amazing knowledge of the human body finding weak muscles that are affecting more than just the injured area. It's been a long process with PT twice a week, lots of "homework " exercises. But I went from daily pain of 8-10 to a 4-5 maybe once or twice a week!! Their knowledge and expertise have made my quality of life so much better. I visited this facility with someone else, not for treatment for myself! When I first entered, the receptionist was very pleasant and ensured that the check-in process was followed. She had us sign in and collected our ! She was professional and carried in very small talk until the called back for the session. The session itself was about 45 minutes. There were a range of patients (men, women and children) of all ages during the timeframe I was there. From what I could see, the employees were engaged with the patients, very hands on, informative and great with children! The location isn't very convenient for me personally but they do have another location closer to Mary Washington that isn't quite as pleasant to deal with (which is why we come here). Overall, I'd definitely recommend this location for PT! read more

I have been using Hilltop Physical Therapy since 2014 when I had my first spinal surgery done. I needed PT afterwards and a friend recommended Hilltop PT to me. I was able to get in and be seen quickly. They set up a plan for me and my surgeon was pleased with the results I was getting. I had dealt with spine issues since the early 90's while I lived in NVA. I was sent to several different places that do PT and none of them were of any help at all. I moved to Fredericksburg VA in 2010. And after the first surgery I went to several places in Fredericksburg for PT. None helped. I finally found Hilltop PT and what a huge difference. Within a year I was completely functional. In 2021 I fell and tore my rotator cuff. My doctor sent me to get PT. I again went back to Hilltop PT and they did a wonderful job in helping me. Between PRP treatment done by my pain management doctor and PT my shoulder is totally functional. Of all the places I have gone to for PT Hilltop is by far the very best place I have ever gone for treatment. They are professional and they care about their patients. Hilltop Physical Therapy is an amazing place to be. From entry, the front desk is professional, thorough and kind. Escorted back for therapy, the staff is kind and enthusiastic. Therapy is hands on. Being treated by Kristen at Hilltop PT on and off for the last 5 years, for various ailments and injuries has been a lifesaver! Most recently, I had 12 sessions of PT elsewhere and had had only a 10% improvement in symptoms. After my first session with Kristen, my symptoms were ~75% improved; after the 2nd session close to ~90% improved; and now after the 3rd session, pretty darn close to 100%! These guys are freaking amazing! While all my problems are soft tissue related, there were a lot of them and years of a sedentary lifestyle and chronic pain made my muscles tighter than concrete and my posture horrendous. Every part of me ached when I first came in, but over my time here I am aost fully functional again. These guys listen well to how you are feeling and always take the time to make sure you are getting the time and service you need to improve. I have been struggling with lower back pain from multiple injuries for almost 15 yrs. Was consulted by a spinal surgeon who told me I was an excellent candidate for a laminectomy and vertebral fusion because spinal pain injections were no longer effective. I had completed 3 rounds of PT previously with 50% improvement and short lived results.
