We took our two dogs (pre-dog 3 and dog 4) into the city for the first time to get some photographs taken of them since they are naturally the best looking dogs around. Bob-O and Bella were very distracted by the new scents, odd sounds, various people, and the cookie table caught Bella's eye the minute we walked in. Bob-O would have probably noticed it, too if he wasn't only two inches off the ground. There were two women helping with the photographs - one with a camera and one with a ball. They were both wonderful with the dogs, trying anything necessary to get them to focus long enough to hold still. They took many pictures while were there regardless of whether or not the kids were actually in position to be photographed. We were hoping that at least we'd get one or two good ones of them before leaving. While we started to feel ourselves getting a little frustrated at Bob-O's and Bella's inability to sit on the white paper rather than sitting every where else, the Houndstooth crew never showed a moment of irritation or frustration at trying to get the dogs to hold still for a few shots. Big plus for us. The pictures were adorable and well worth the trek into the city. We plan on getting pictures taken again once the Dog #4 is full grown - so we have the entire family together. The prices for the sitting are a little expensive - I'd rather pay more for pictures when ordering than pay an upfront fee for the sitting - but they are great at getting good shots. Plus, if you're a client of The Backyard Pack you get 10% off the sitting cost! Now that's a great deal.

We started outside of my house and walked down to Shirlington and took photos at the park. She got great photos of my dog in the water, I never would have been able to crouch down and do all that. I wish I'd found her when my dog was a puppy because I really wanted to capture those days but better late than never.

Finally contacted Lisa directly to schedule a date. Six months later. No problem. We were able to book a session within a week or two after the call. Lisa came to our home, on time, fully prepared and ready to shoot. Armed with every whistle, bell and squeaker that elicited the most wonderful expressions from our girls. Lisa spent over an hour with us taking photos in several key areas outside. Once our session was done we met with Lisa at her studio two weeks later. We were so overwhelmed with the amount of great images that we decided to go home and think it over only to book another appointment. Again, no problem. We were able to take our time, make out decisions and within 2-4 weeks later, and in time for the holidays we had our photos to proudly show our visitors. Lauren's prices are very reasonable. But, cost notwithstanding, she is a truly talented artist with an eye for capturing that perfect moment. The shoot took just about two hours. Lauren worked well with all three of my dogs. She definitely captured their individual personalities while walking around the neighborhood, in the house, and out on the rear deck.
