We knew when it came to the food, we wanted 1) a farm-to-table experience with pure, delicious, locally-sourced ingredients, 2) an elegant but down-to-earth seasonal menu, and 3) plenty of options for our vegan and celiac guests as well as our meat-lovers. Bonus points if our caterers were a pure pleasure to work with. The instant we spoke to Jake about our day, we knew we hit the jackpot. From the beginning, it felt like working with a friend. Jake was open, flexible, professional and generally awesome. Since we planned our wedding in about 10 weeks, I can't tell you what a load off it was to have the catering piece taken care of. Jake and the team were super on-point and helpful with our semi-DIY plans, and they couldn't have been friendlier through the entire process. Oh! And the food was SO good, SO perfect to what we envisioned and our guests have had nothing but highest compliments. I often get cravings for that meal... just delicious. As a groom-to-be, what I did not know was that lighting and sound conspire to make your guests feel a sense of magic at your event. John and Bill are experts in this, and in particular they have a "can-do" attitude and skill set to make your vision come to life. For us, we needed to construct a kind of stage (Mandap) for a Hindu wedding ceremony that we had imagined using natural wood. They worked with our florist to create a vision of white birch logs to create the 4 poles of the ends, and create a mini-deck/stage on which the ceremony could happen in the woods. It was amazing! Furthermore, they added lighting in our main reception hall and onto the lawn outside that created a beautiful ambiance. People used the words "fairy", "magic", "ethereal" and "glowing" to describe the mood in the room. Lastly, I would say personally they are a joy to work with. They are friendly, casual, and caring - taking the time to get to know you even though they don't have to. He requested something unique and beautiful. Cost - $175, not including delivery. The vase was the best part of the arrangement. - nice heavy base. The arrangement itself was sad! It was unique - but not attractive or pleasing, in any way. My estimate of the cost of the flowers was $35 maximum - Retail. The arrangement was wilted and dying by the 2nd day. I sent my brother a picture of the flowers to thank him for his thoughtfulness, and he was very upset at the poor quality and value of the arrangement. I dissuaded him from contacting the Florist since he would not have been pleasant in his appraisal of the quality of the arrangement or the talent of the florist. I would NEVER recommend this florist to anyone.
