In a meeting with my 2 advisors in the winter, I came up with doing a pop-up dinner which later turned into this gratitude lunch. Megan chimed in telling me she had a China company and would be able to help me out. I was so excited and relieved. She helped me more than I could have ever asked. Not only was she busy with 2 other events that weekend but she's also a college professor (which is how I know her) and a full-time mom!! Megan was so incredible. She definitely did not have to do all that she did. She took time out of each day to answer any emails/texts I sent her way. She brought so many China options. She also taught me to fold napkins to look like roses. Sorry, my thoughts aren't super coherent. I just have so much love, respect, and appreciation for this human. She gave us lists of preferred vendors to choose from, she gave us good questions to ask them, she advised us when we asked, but ultimately let us make our own choices. She was 100% willing to look at any other vendors not on her lists, as well. She made sure we were well informed and comfortable with our choices, but that they were our own, not influenced elsewhere. I found her very helpful with small things especially closer to the wedding. Tons of little questions cropped up and Pam was always on it, she reached out to our venue for us and got us answers so we could focus on other things. The day of the wedding she was amazing. As the bride, I had to worry about nothing. She understood what I asked for and made sure it was all set up--and it was! No issues, no mistakes, no problems, everything ran completely smoothly, largely thanks to Pam's presence and help. Cost-wise, very affordable. I pictured a planner to be MUCH more expensive than Pam is (especially when you're dealing with wedding prices, ho boy!) She has a simple down payment and contract, and final payment due closer to day of. All payments and paperwork were handled well and expediently. In the end, she often says "it's whatever you want!" and she truly works to make that happen.

We had 75 guests and wanted to talk to them and mingle. Pengyew helped us plan the perfect menu. The guests raved about the food and wrote to us weeks afterward about how good it was. One guest even asked him for a sauce recipe! Pengyew was a delight to work with. When you're planning a party, You want someone else to really own their part so that you don't have to worry. I didn't worry one bit. He's funny, yet professional. And the bottom line is that he can wow guests! We had passed hors d'oeuvres: shrimp on cucumber, corncakes, tuna, scallops and more.
