In this era of changing healthcare, we definitely want our doctors' knowledge to be growing with the times. Dr. Witman is an exceptional physician who is tenacious in her resolve to figure out the best way to help her patients. I appreciate the lengths she has gone to - to maximize my health. Besides further research, she has referred me to specialists who she communicated with, and advocated for me when she didn't think a specialist was treating my case with the urgency she felt it warranted. She has also helped interpret other doctors' notes, lab reports & x-rays for me so that I understood what they meant. Availability has been so valuable. Every time I have called her office with some ailment, I have been able to get in to see the doctor that day. When I have sent Dr. Witman an email summarizing visits with specialists...she responded off-hours even if it was a weekend or evening. He had an implant appointment this morning at 9. The dental office coordinated the day of the surgery requirements with Dr. Boone's office. A blood draw was needed before surgery. Dr. Boone's office said that the request for the blood draw was sent. The request was not at the lab. We called Dr Boone's office to send the request. They said it would take 30 minutes before they can do this. So, we called the dentist. The dental Office was able to do this, it, it took another 45 minutes. So, we were an hour late to the implant surgery. Both the dentist and anesthesiologist were waiting for him. This is not the first time that Dr. Boone's office was lacking in the follow through of requested paperwork. Before this, we asked Dr. Boone's.office to fill out paperwork. I was told by them that it was done. Yet, I needed to follow up again because it was not done. The office staff is inefficient and unorganized. Maybe they need proper training or hire more staff.
