Never again. WhenI…read morewalked in the female behind the counter was deeply engaged in a phone call with what sounded like a friend. She kept the phone hanging to her ear talking when she walked up and she never greeted me or smiled. I was looked at and treated like an inconvenience. When I opened my purse to take out my credit card she blurted out "Cash Only"! I was annoyed at this because I had encountered so many budget motels now that only accept cash. When she saw my annoyance she then stated "oh our machine is down" and then she pointed to an ATM right by the window. I was so tired as I had driven a very long way and it was an inconvenience to pay an ATM fee but I took out the money and I gave it to her. She then handed me a room key and jerked her thumb backwards indicating I would be "in the back" of the building and she said "155 is around back!". I could clearly see the front area of the hotel appeared almost empty. I went out to my car and then said "oh hell no.. I'm not paying $80 for a so-called 'budget' room only to be treated so disrespectfully. I don't pay for disrespect. I then turned and walked back in and I asked her why was I put in the back when it appeared she had several rooms empty at the front she stated oh the back rooms are for smokers. I don't smoke and I know I couldn't have given her any indication that I smoke. When I told her I did t smoke she said "oh if you want to be up front there will be a deposit!". . WELL.. that wasn't advertised anywhere. At that point I was about to ask for my money back and before I could ask for my money back she said to me she would give it back. As in she no konger wanted my business and she didn't understand I had already made up my mind when I walked in I no longer wanted to give them my business. She also turned her phones camera directly towards me and appeared to have it pushed up to the window. The last two times I've stayed at the hotel I've been out in the back and it never dawned on me to ask why when there were rooms up front. This was the first time I noticed it appeared to be a pattern of putting blacks in the back. I will never stay here again.

I am a little shocked at the poor reviews of this place. I've been staying in Motels/Hotels for 35…read moreyears, from roach motels up to 5-stars. As a Constant Traveler, I easily spend 10-15% of a years nights in Motels. I try not to spend more than $100/night if I can swing it, and this place barely squeaked in, due to the high reviews (8.8) on Hotels.com. This place is easily in the Top Five places I've ever spent. I wasn't sure whether to spend 1 or 2 nights in Memphis, but I was so comfortable here, I booked a 2nd night. I have attached pics of the room I got for about $105 (117 w/ tax). It is huge, with a full fridge, a microwave, a stovetop, and al the silverware/cutlery you need. Downstairs, there's a well-stocked snacks/food pantry for items available for purchase. And, amazingly, they even have a 'Lending Library', which I've never seen before. They have everything to lend for free, from coffee grinders to blenders to books & games for the family. Amazing. Decent Fitness room, as well. Close to the highway, Krogers, WalMart, and IKEA. it's away from traffic, quiet, and conveniently located. The clerk was friendly and helpful. And the 'Lending Library' is a clear sign they care about their guests. Only downside? No pool, but i knew that when i booked. And the room is fairly huge, comparatively. So much room for activities! The kitchen is almost full-sized! There's a dishwasher (i'd have happily traded for a toaster oven) , and a coffee-maker. Get a single king-sized bed room here. I highly recommend.

The experience started badly and got worse. I was greated at the front desk by an agressive woman…read morewho told me, "I was doing too much" because I asked to check in. When we asked about linens for the sofa bed, she argued with us about the type of room we reserved, claiming we didn't have a sofa bed. She called us in the room 15 minutes later to apologize and say that we did actually have a sofa bed (duh, we were sitting on the sofa). The furniture is extremely worn and smelled musty. There was a roach in the bathroom. Upon checkout, I discovered I was double charged for the room for a two day stay. The front desk clerk promised a credit. My folio reflected a price adjustment, not a credit. Over two weeks later, I am still trying to get that credit. The front desk told me to wait and dispute it with my card if it didn't appear. Then yesterday, the manager tried to say I was only charged once and there was no credit (despite two charges clearly on my card). They even stopped answering calls from IHG corporate about this issue. They are ignoring the AmEx dispute. With so many options in Memphis, stay anywhere else but here.

I stayed at this hell hole in October 2025 for a couple of nights. I'm a cancer patient, a senior…read moreand have a trained service dog. The property is disgusting and from all the opened drapes, it appears most of the rooms are not in use and are used for storage or perhaps just in disarray. The staff is rude, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, apparently they are allowed to be. My portfolio as an Honors member indicates that I need to be near/next to an exit where I can park my car directly outside of it, as I have mobility issues from treatment. The room I picked was not given to me, but a room that was much further from the exit/entry and parking area was...they did NOT CARE. The entire stay was like this, the furniture was old and in disrepair, it was just a sad and depressed property that should be shuttered. THE FROSTING ON THE CAKE with this, was the first morning, I went to the b'fast area (with my service dog) and the woman working b'fast BLOCKED THE DOORWAY and refused me entry, saying dogs WERE NOT ALLOWED...I was mortified. I attempted to tell her that service dogs ARE allowed access anywhere their owner needs to go and she argued and yelled (with other guests there)...I went to the front desk person, who was just rude for the moment of check-in and she didn't care. I went back to my room without eating...then I got on my laptop, pulled up the ADA guidelines/rules and took them to the front desk and she got flat NASTY to me. I remember asking for a manager and nope, that wasn't going to happen. Then I went back to the woman working b'fast and told her that she needed to read this and at least to her credit, she backed down. But it was traumatic and they violated ADA LAW, period. When a HILTON IS BAD, they surely don't go part way, the go all in. The building needs to be shuttered, the franchise ended.

NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD! Arrived around 8pm to check in,…read morebeen on the road for so long and we just wanted to check in but we're told our reservation could not be found. Expedia helped us through this and they booked it again for us, but the receptionist CAMERON is suuuupeer rude and cold. I honestly find it hilarious that they have a sign in the front that says to be nice to the staff, because they sure aren't nice to the guests. We had been sitting there almost an hour as he is on his phone with AirPods in, didn't even notify us our reservation had come through, I only knew because Expedia messaged me. He gives us the worst room possible, 441 which looks like an old hostel and it's the furthest possible away from the elevator. Then we see this actual HAZARD in the room, we literally hit our leg on this! When my cousin laid down and tried getting back up the mattress was LIFTING OFF THE FRAME... we went downstairs to ask for a different room and the man was saying he did not have any other rooms available. While we were there, there was another guest that informed him off a mess someone made and the worker sighs like doing his job is the worst thing ever- even the guest who notified him of the mess offered to clean it up because Cameron seemed so annoyed by it. The elevator looks like the oldest elevator I've ever seen, and the tub is at an angle that you can easily fall in. I would never pay to stay here again. The $100 deposit is ridiculous, nothing in this room is worth $100. I would love to hear from the manager of this establishment
