We love this hotel. And we've been staying here for many years now on our visits to Corning 2 to 3 times every single year. But this year, I was very affected by something they did in customer service. The room we were given last night is our room with large windows that have the lights right outside of them that light up the building. This blazing light starts at sunset and end at sunrise. Even with the blackout blinds, it is bright in our room at night. We also can't look out the window after dark or before sunrise because of the glare of the light. When I asked them to please change our room, they said they did not have any other room in our "tier" which means in the price point we paid. The hotel is virtually empty this weekend. Nevertheless, they are choosing not to give us a different room as a service. I am so very hurt and disappointed. It's a great hotel and a great location. But this inflexibility, even for silver members like us, feels very sad and unnecessary. read more

Also a local hang out which makes the conversations interesting. Loved the pool at the hotel. Easy parking which is free and lots of tires if needed. My wife and I stayed here from 9/13/23-9/17/23. We checked in and Roxy got us all squared away answering our questions about breakfast, exercise room and where the main restaurants were at. The area is very quiet at night which was appreciated coming from a 3 hour time zone difference. The next morning Chris gave us directions to the Corning museum and informed us of the bar and what time libations would be served. Everyone from Therese the female bartender we met Friday night were as professional and courteous as possible. Lastly, Housekeeping and the manager of housekeeping came by our room to ensure everything was to our satisfaction during out stay. Even the engineer asked my wife as she was walking to the elevator if there were any issues to please let him know. Class and Customer Service at its finest. If you are ever in the Corning area this place is worth the stay! read more

I was visiting to attend a Gala at the Corning Museum of Glass. Nice hotel, rooms were clean and comfy. Nice sized bathroom. The ironing board left more to be desired and while the bartender downstairs was lovely, my cocktail not so much. Very close and walkable to the museum. read more

Be aware that this hotel is close to a train station. A train whistle woke us up at 6:30 am. The hotel is conveniently located near the Corning Museum of Glass and is relatively modern and comfortable, but they have some questionable pricing packages. We booked the "Dine and Unwind" package because we were told on the phone two days prior to arriving that either one dinner or one breakfast would be fully covered via this package. However, upon arriving, we were given a $25 voucher, which was not enough to cover a full dinner or a full breakfast, and as a result, we had an issue in the morning with the dining staff (even after being told by Ramona in the dining area that the "Dine and Unwind" package fully covers breakfast). After a back-and-forth with Kyle the front desk manager, he resolved this issue, but I cannot recommend staying here as a result of this miserable experience. Hyatt House in Fishkill provides a very similar hot breakfast buffet for guests entirely gratis with hotel stay. I would suggest guests visiting the Corning area find a hotel that does the same. read more

Nice and new (and needed) hotel along the river and next to Corning Museum. As with most Hiltons booking was a breeze as was checking in/out. A short walk across the bridge takes you to historic Market Street (although some may want to drive or Uber). Other than the ridiculously overrated Radisson, Corning has no good choices in hotels near the downtown until now. If you're not staying close there is nothing to do unless you drive. A perfect location to head up to wine country along the lakes, too. My only complaint is the staff is still working on mastering customer service while complying with Hilton's policy manual. I was thoroughly instructed about the $250 fine for smoking in my room (I don't smoke), but was totally blindsided by the requisite driver's license before ordering a drink at the bar (I do drink). They directed my wife go back to our room to get her ID, but I thought it best to get our drink elsewhere. No I'D is required there--ever. Looking for a nice place, centrally located, and reasonably priced? Give 'em whirl but don't forget your drivers license. read more

Great location as we wanted to see the Corning Glass Museum, Rockwell Museum and try some local restaurants downtown. It was easy to get to, easy to park and Chris who was the desk clerk on duty when we arrived a little early for check in just could not have been more welcoming and helpful. He gave us a room with a wonderful view and a couple of great ideas for dining both a very late lunch and later for dinner. Both turned out to be terrific! In the current times when staffing is a challenge, we've come to expect less. In this case we had a really positive experience that was truly enhanced by a young man who treated us as if it really mattered that we had just that. It's not likely that we will be back this way again anytime soon, but thanks Hilton, and Chris, for caring that we really enjoyed our stay. read more

If you are pumping milk for your baby DO NOT STAY HERE! They will not accommodate your needs if you have to keep your hard pumped milk frozen! Very unreasonable staff, very unwilling to work with guests that have babies, or small children needing breast milk. Wife pumped for days to keep milk frozen for our baby and front desk staff (Cameo W.) couldn't possibly allow for a freezer to keep our milk frozen for our baby. Staff is disorganized. Breakfast was a trial in patience. Nobody greets or sits you. Imagine having to scrape hard rock pancakes, out of the hot trays, sausage patties that were drowning in grease, and dried muffins. The table service staff was chaotic. Spilled juice, food scrapes sat there the entire time. At one point, a waitstaff running by me abruptly stopped and asked me if I wanted utensils, after sitting there for 10 minutes. I had to beg 2-3 times for coffee. There's no coffee at buffet. People who ordered from the menu, rather than using the buffet, waited a very long time for any service. I saw other guests throwing their napkins down on the table and leaving. Lots of discussions and confusion between staff. You have to request room service. Fine. But I put in my request for room service in the morning. Left the hotel for a day's activities, and when I returned at 4:30, the room was still unserved. Overall, not worth it. Whoever is managing this circus needs to pay more attention read more

This is a very nice and clean hotel. It was very quiet! We stayed here for a visit to the Corning Glass Museum which is right next door. There is parking on both sides of the hotel. Plenty of handicap parking too. The accessible room we booked was one of the best we have ever gotten at a hotel. It had a roll in shower with a fold down bench. The room was huge. The bed was not too high and it was on a frame. Excellent place to stay. read more

Intelligently-designed architecture (noisy ice machines away from guest rooms; clean, colorful, warm lobby) and spacious, spotless rooms. The location is ideal, with museums, restaurants, and stores at a walkable distance. The vehicle parking area is well-lighted and can be viewed from the rooms. My husband brought me here for my birthday weekend. The hotel was very clean, staff was very nice and our room well from the minute I walk in I loved everything about it from the decor and the view of the river. The bathroom and the shower amazing...very quiet at night and peaceful... This has been the first hotel I have seen thru out my travels that brings awareness to Human Trafficking, there are signs everywhere with the number to call for help and talking to one of the staff member they have to do yearly training on Human Trafficking..So huge Kudos to Hilton from a social worker that has seen the damage Human trafficking does to a person I applaud your efforts... Nice, clean hotel at a great location. Walkable to both Gaffer District shops/restaurants and the CMOG. Very nice staff at front desk and restaurant/bar. And it is nice to be able to get a cocktail after a long day. My only complaint is the bathroom doors in the rooms. While very nice looking barn doors, even couples like a little more privacy in the bathroom. Otherwise a great hotel in Corning. read more

Staff is very nice and friendly. Rooms are clean. The only downside is the bathroom door. I like the sliding door, but it just wouldn't stay closed. I guess the floor is not level in our room. Also the handle in the bath is right in the middle. I bumped myself a few times when I showered in the tub. However, I have to mention their complimentary cookies at the front desk. Before I booked the hotel, I saw someone's review on the cookies, so I was looking forward to them. And the cookies are REALLY good. I just forgot to ask for the recipe before I checked out.
