This is an interesting hotel. It didn't start off great because we couldn't figure out where the free airport shuttle is supposed to pick you up at the airport. It's not like your typical American airports where shuttles pass by and you wait on the curb. Instead they keep it a secret when you book your reservation that the pickup place is some random parking stall in the garage. So strange. So we get to the unmarked stall (C22) and we are waiting with like 10 other people. The van comes and the driver said he can only fit 6 people, and he has a list of people who made a reservation for the shuttle. How the heck are you supposed to know to sign up for a spot on the shuttle?? So we try to ask him if we can put our names on the list for the next shuttle and he just like waves us away and is kind of rude. He said he'll be back in 50 minutes... or 15... he never clarified even though we asked. He comes back in about 20 minutes and takes the rest of us to the hotel. It was definitely a wild ride to the hotel... The hotel isn't that far from the airport, but you can't walk... We finally get into our room and it's nice enough. The shower was hot and the water pressure was great. The AC was easy to turn on and we figured out the lights. I'd definitely give this place another try knowing that I need to make a reservation for the airport shuttle. And I know where to find it. read more

We stayed here for a night to transit from Patagonia to Atacama. The free shuttle service offered by the hotel is crappy. We were extremely tired from the long journey from Patagonia and yet they made us sit in the van for at least a good 20 mins, hoping to fill up the van before taking off. We tried asking them at one point how soon can they leave (we almost got off to take a cab instead) and they just gave us a hand signal (whatever that might mean). The room itself was tired and old....and so was the bathroom. Definitely not at Hilton standards. The next morning, the shuttle service was late and didnt even gesture us despite we were waiting out front....terrible service. Next time, I rather stay at the Holiday Inn, which is literally outside the airport, than to deal this. Not recommended! read more

It was a lovely overnight stay at this Hilton. They had a shuttle pickup and drop off at the airport. This was the nearest one to the airport. The location is not much to really explore at night. It had high fences around it to keep the unwanted out. By checking as a Diamond member we got a free pisco sour from the bar. It was very good and the bartender made it authentically with egg whites and a shaker. Now for the hamburger and steak fries for $15usd at the Hotel restaurant. It was rather delicious. Enough portions to serve 2 medium hungry persons. We didn't want to go out into city at night to look for a place to eat. Our room was clean and rather new looking. read more

The only complaint that I have about this hotel is that while you can easily see it from the freeway, it is really difficult to get to. There's a special road that you need to take that circles all the way around to get back to the front of the hotel which is one way, so if you miss a turn you need to go all the way back around. Even after doing it several times, we couldn't quite seem to get it right. But if you aren't driving and are taking the airport shuttle, you'll be just fine :) Otherwise, be sure to keep a look out for those "Hilton Garden Inn" signs posted by the freeway and to take the special exit to get there. The hotel itself was very nice. Lots of free parking and really great service. The people working here go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is great. It was also the nicest room that we had during during our two weeks in South America... large, clean, modern, comfortable. What you expect from a Hilton, and they did not disappoint. Free wifi as well, and it's pretty fast (I was able to stream a football game from my ipad, not flawlessly, but not bad for a hotel). I'd originally wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn because it's literally across the street from the airport (I think on airport grounds) but this was just as good of a choice since it's only 5 minutes away. read more

Although there is not much around the hotel area, it was very easy to reserve a free transfer from airport. I made a call to the hotel to reserve a ride since I was coming in at 10:00pm. When I arrived at the airport, my driver was waiting for me. I was an Hilton honors member and there were 2 bottles of water waiting for me and an extra beverage of my choice. Also, their late checkout was a plus since my flight was later in the day. Perfect for a quick layover in Santiago! read more

Where to start ... THE SHUTTLE from the airport -- The hotel has an arrangement with TransVIP to provide free transportation from the airport. Go to "gate" 3 and TransVIP will confirm your reservation with the Hilton, and off you go. The first trip I made here I was unaware of the arrangement and with no functional phone, I was scammed for $20US for the trip by people with official looking name tags working outside the terminal. If someone approaches you outside, go back inside and try again. THE LOCATION -- If all you need is to be close to the airport, this hotel is great. If you decide you want to wander or even get non-hotel food this is not the hotel. It is located in an industrial district and there are no walk-able alternatives except a gas station up the road. THE SHUTTLE to Mall/Metro -- There are scheduled times the hotel shuttle will take guests (free) either to the local mall or the closest Metro terminus. The posted times in Dec2017 to leave were 12:00pm and 3:00pm, returning respectively about 3:15pm and 6:15pm. THE SHUTTLE back to the airport --- Things get really weird here. There are posted times for the free shuttle, outside of those times the driver charges a fee he determines at the time (I'd ask him before you leave to be sure). Once we were told it would be free, but then it wasn't (luckily a very kind Chilean businessman paid for the entire shuttle (about $12000CLP) for the entire shuttle's 6am trip. TAXI -- I was told the shuttle was unavailable for the return trip to the airport so I asked the girl at the front desk about getting a taxi. She told me there were none available at the time ... what!? I just looked at her for a moment and went to sit down, at that precise moment it was decided the shuttle was available -- see weird above. He provided me a free ride, but I tipped him and all seemed well. THE HOTEL -- The hotel was clean and reasonably up to Hilton Garden standards. It was well guarded if you care about those things. THE RESTAURANT -- Meh. It's okay. The buffet gave you lots of food but like most Chilean tourists times - expensive for what you got. The empanadas were a joke. THE STAFF -- Fantastic, very friendly and helpful. My favorite part. Luis at the front desk is particularly helpful as were the cleaning staff for the rooms. Where to end .. If your primary concern is being close to the airport this is a good choice. If you want to be close to better food and entertainment options stay at the Hilton in town. read more

A very good choice if you need accommodations close to the Santiago Airport. (Why else would you stay at an airport hotel?) Staff was friendly and very helpful, room was more than adequate, restaurant was adequate. Airport shuttle was punctual and reliable, but it doesn't run all 24 hours -- so make sure it will be running when you will be needing it. If it's not, you can book a special trip, but you have to do it in advance. There is no shuttle to downtown -- cabs are available, but Uber is cheaper. read more

Shuttle service seems like a good idea when they email and offer it, but it is awful. Waited almost an hour, and called twice to ask status only to be told the driver would arrive in "10 minutitos". Note: 10 minutes really means 45. I could have taken a cab to and from the hotel 5 times in that time. At the hotel, I found there is no room service until 5 PM, so if you miss breakfast because of a late shuttle, too bad for you! Definitely not business friendly. My friends and I chose to stay here after a long journey back to the U.S. from Torres del Paine. We caught a shuttle from the airport, which was awesome because it was free. Don't be fooled by the taxi drivers trying to hustle you at the airport. One of them told us it would cost 5,000 CLPS for the shuttle, but when we got the ticket at the desk, it was free. There's always people trying to take advantage of tourists at airports, so be on your toes. When we got to the hotel, we were smelly, jet-lagged, and dirty with our 30lb packs on our backs. They quickly checked us in and we went up to our room. The room was spotless, comfortable, and the bathroom felt especially luxurious after our travels. You can adjust the softness of the bed, which was cool. The view was subpar, but that's because the hotel overlooks the highway since it's right out of the airport. The industrial vibes and fenced in hotel aren't the most breathtaking of views... After showering up, we decided to kill some time (and money) at the hotel bar/lounge. We ordered many piscos, entrees, and apps over a few hours. Our waiter was at first confused and felt like he was trying to rush us, but after realizing we were going to be sitting there for a while, we felt a lot less pressured and able to relax. After two of our friends left for an early flight, we decided to watch a movie and order room service. It would have been nice to have a movie selection, we ended up streaming from Netflix since the wifi was free. A bit on the pricey side overall, but it was necessary and enjoyable. read more

Close to airport, with free shuttle -- a very convenient feature. Comfortable bed and large room. Food OK and usable fitness center. However, the front desk is INCOMPETENT. They neglected our wake-up call, screwed up the morning taxi arrival time (which we had discussed twice with staff), tried to charge us for rooms we had pre-paid. Stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn Santiago Airport Hotel after my flight was delayed. The hotel is nice and the stay started out pleasantly but then quickly went downhill. We were delayed for three days so needed to do laundry. We have clothing for the laundry service and the hotel sent it out to a third party laundry service. That service initially lost half our clothing and only after insisting that my clothing was still missing did the hotel look into it (at first they denied it). Thankfully we spent two nights in the hotel and got the second half of our clothing on the second day. If we had only been staying for one night we would have never seen our clothing. Then when we got our clothing back it came back with tags put into it with huge plastic tags that created holes in our clothing and ruined expensive shirts and skirts. Throughout the process I had to spend hours speaking to different people to find our clothing and address the issues with the holes. On our last night the car service the airport provided never came. After asking several times the hotel finally called the car service but no one answered. We asked them to sign up for the free hotel shuttle. They said it would take thirty minutes. We said fine but they never called. I then asked multiple staff to call us a cab that we would pay for out of our own pocket but they just kept saying no it would cost money. I did not have a Chilean cell phone or the number of a car service and they refused to help us. I was also entitled to a free water as part of my airline delay package but when I went to get it I was yelled at by a staff member. Very courteous to yell at a pregnant woman for getting water she was entitled to Eventually two guests were leaving the hotel (since it was on the side of the highway and not within walking distance of anything I assumed they had a car). I asked if they could please drive me and my sister to the airport. They said they were going in the other direction but that the airport was close so they'd drive us. I have reached out to the Hilton Guest Correspondence and the Hilton Garden Inn Santiago Airport and they have refused to acknowledge this unacceptable behavior. If you want to stay in a hotel with actual hospitality I would not recommend this hotel or for that matter a hotel chain that cares so little about their guest experience. read more
