I came for a concert and I will say that might be my new favorite indoor venue. The inside had…read morelots of bathrooms, food, and signage. The staff was also super friendly. My favorite part of the venue: the high bar seats behind the stage where I was able to feel super close to the band. I have not seen a venue like this before. My least favorite thing was the lack of outdoor signage on which line to get in. We winded up in the VIP/ Floor line and they were turning people away after they stood in the line for 30+ minutes as it moved up. Luckily, we were super nice as always, and they slapped some bands on our wrists and said to have fun! My FAV FAV part was how they have figured out rideshares! The staff asks the ride share who they are picking up and then call out your name. It felt like elementary school pick up all over again and worked so smoothly.

This was the first event we've ever been to at Enmarket Arena. It's about half the size of VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville which holds about 15,000 for concerts whereas Enmarket Arena holds about 7,500. Their minor league hockey team plays there as does their new women's basketball team like our Jacksonville Waves. The venue has been open for 4 years now and somehow, there are still some pain points with respect to customer service / interaction. There seem to be tiers of teams there and I can tell you this: every single person we interacted with that was wearing a blazer was rude to us for absolutely no reason. Even though we encountered more than a few folks who seemed almost mad to be working there I'd like to call out two AMAZING people that helped make our night awesome. These two folks were from other teams (not wearing blazers). First, I'd like to thank Sheila for being a warm, kind hearted person who was just a joy to interact with from the moment we got to the arena until we left. We roamed a lot, so we ran into her more than a few times. Every time we did, she was smiling, helping someone with something and being upbeat. I'd also like to say thank you to Adrienne, our go-to person at the concession stand by section 102. Like Sheila, she was warm, kind and just a very nice person. She happens to know Detroit very well so we had a great conversation about traveling around Michigan as kids. The show itself had a surprising amount of production issues, which I've never seen at a Weird Al concert. Miscued backdrop videos and delayed audio triggers happened a few times through the show, which was just odd to see. Al is a pro though, so he pushed through them without missing a beat or complaining to the crowd about it. I've included photos of us with the workers I shouted out along with a photo of Lauren talking to Weird Al after the show. If you go to the original post in our Facebook group, you'll also see a few long video clips of the opening of the show because I always love how he starts the show from backstage. Another great experience from Weird Al is in the books. Now we have to wait for Tallahassee in September before we see him again. The Second Saturday Art Walk is like the amazing race for art lovers (although much less intense…read moreand with wine involved). But, I was surprised how nicely organized and planned out the Art Walk is! They have a great system in place where patrons of the art walk have to visit ten or more galleries between the hours of 4-8pm to be entered into a raffle prize drawing, and believe me, there are a plethora of prizes! You can RSVP for the evening online, but no one ever checked us off or verified us during the evening, I think this is more a way for them to keep up with attendees post-event. The evening starts at 4pm at the Bohemian Riverfront Hotel, located right on Bay Street, an easy walk from anywhere downtown. You'll enjoy views of the river the hotels own lovely collection while you sip on a glass of complimentary wine and are introduced to several "spotlight" artists and galleries of the night. The reception takes place in the Rocks on the River restaurant during the winter months and the Rocks on the Roof bar during the summer months. Make sure you grab a map at this first stop and head over to the Tiffani Taylor Gallery at 5pm. Here you'll grab your first artist signature, remember, you have tasks to complete along this art-walk!! Having to get signatures from the artists was quite fun, because it allowed us to interact and learn about each artist in a way that was unique and very interactive. Once you finish at the Tiffani Taylor Gallery, you are invited to visit any of the 32 participating galleries. We headed back to River Street next and hit up Gallery 209, with it's impressive history as well as extensive collection (if you're looking to add some excitement to your night, grab a Wet Willie's to drink while you walk!) From there we headed towards City Market and checked out A.T. Hun Art Gallery, Gullah Living and many more. If you're looking for get those ten signatures, City Market Art Center is an easy way to get them all and it's a great time to visit as almost all the galleries were open (plus you can grab pizza to go at Vinnie Van Go-Go's!) When the clock strikes 8pm, make sure you're at the closing reception located at in a back room in the Andaz Hotel. Here you'll be entered into a raffle drawing where it's next to impossible to loose and be able to chat with fellow gallery racers and grab another glass of wine if it suites you. The art walk is a perfect way to meet locals, see a huge assortment of galleries in one night, take the evening at your own pace and appreciate local artists. I highly recommend adding this event to your Second Saturday bucket list!

I wish they would do away with…read morethe advertisements of themselves during the preview session and put more money into making the theaters noise proof because you can hear other movies when your movie is in at peak level. all in all chairs are very comfortable. I wish there was a way to oil them because when you move them, they make a lot of noise, but they're so comfortable next time. I'll stop at the bar and maybe get a drink.

This was one of the many events over 3 days of the wine festival. It was held in an open-air…read morePavilion that faces the beach, with beautiful views despite the rain. There were approximately 10-15 wineries serving their wine. The food was very good, especially enjoyed the huge cheese board, which had dried fruits, grapes, strawberries nuts, etc. They also had a buffet with corn bread, pulled pork, etc. It was a fun night.

Your normal run of the mill carnival food. (I just came for a corn dog and funnel cake. ) It was extremely slow due to a cold front had just moved through earlier in the day which seemed to have kept the masses at home. Theater was cleaner than some I have been in…read more Chairs were comfortable recliners. This is the first Theater I've seen where you fill your own popcorn containers. You buy the containers at the candy counter and fill your own popcorn and sodas. Refreshments like most Theaters costs more than the movies. Expect to spend about $10 per person. It is a good place to take the family on a cold or rainy day.

The Savannah Philharmonic calls the Lucas their home. SCAD has many events in the building. There is a small cafe at the front with popcorn, drinks, some small bites, and alcohol too. There is parking to be found on the street. Yes, you will need to pay for it. There are parking garages close too. The Lucas was recently restored a few years ago. It is beautiful. The theater itself is not huge. It is not meant for a gigantic audience. But it comfortably fits a very large crowd on two levels. I have sat on both levels. You see well from both. The Lucas is a building worth a visit.
