Pool was the best redeeming quality of this hotel
    Alex C.

I want to start by saying the hotel is not bad , but it's not great for the Hilton. Pros: good location , good parking , nice lobby , pool is small but very clean Cons: the room . For 350$ for 2 nights you expect quality . The room is old , dated , and overall tired. The beds are comfortable I must say but old Carpet, furniture , and the tv. On day 1 the tv wouldn't work. The direct tv box kept resetting itself and we couldn't watch anything. This happened several times and had to have team members come up and basically say " well if it keeps happening just call us up". But we shouldn't have to do that . I want to make this clear the tv ARE OLD AND NOT SMART. Next con: the bathroom . Overall not bad but the shower pressure is horrible , and the overall tub and shower is old and leaky. I would not stay here again.

I had a wedding to attend to during a weekend visit at Phoenix. The hotel that was recommended for the wedding to stay at was the Hilton Phoenix Chandler. I had a two night stay from Saturday through Monday. The drive from Phoenix Harbor International to the hotel was approximately 30 minutes. There is plenty of free parking available for the hotel. As soon as you walk in, you'll see a variety of seating in the lobby, a restaurant, bar area, and a snack shop. As a diamond member, the check-in process was a breeze. I waited to do it in-person since I wasn't able to select my room through the Hilton application. The hotel was able to check me in around 2:00 P.M and provide me a key card to the room. There wasn't any available upgrades at the time. I also asked about the lounge since the Hilton application stated that the Hilton Phoenix Chandler had one, however, when I asked the front desk, the team informed me they stopped offering a lounge at the property. The room was clean and 2 waters were provided upon the initial stay. It was spacious. Plenty of storage available. There was also a refrigerator, office desk, and an iron. The King room only had a shower, not bathtub. Unfortunately, room service wasn't offered during our stay. We had to go to the front desk to pick up towels, extra soaps such as shampoos, conditioners, as the front desk informed us calling that it could take hours for the items to be delivered to the room. The team had recommended that we come to the front desk to pick up the items. During our nights, the room were pretty quiet for the most part. You could hear next door entry/closing of the hotel room doors. The hotel does have a beautiful outdoor pool with plenty of seating. We didn't get a chance to eat breakfast that was offered at the hotel. It was slightly expensive during our stay in March. I'm not sure if there were a lot of conferences on-going, but overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Phoenix in Chandler.

Not near as good as my previous visits. I requested the 6th floor and was given the third. The faucet leaked all night and the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly from the previous guests (especially the commode). But worst of all is the Air Products Factory across the street that makes commercial grade loud compressor noises late into the evening. If you stay here, request a west-facing room, not east-facing. Staff is nice here, and cash is worthless at the bar and restaurant.

Some good ... Nice hot strong shower. Room was clean. Bathroom had nice lighting. Service/employees were nice. Allows pets. Good location by the mall, plenty of shopping and restaurants. Some bad... Needs updating, see pictures of hole in the ceiling and water leakage from shower. Loud pounding noise every time the heat shut off. Restaurant not open. Doesn't offer complimentary coffee.

Toilet filled with paper towels when I got to my room and obviously not cleaned.

Horrible hotel! Horrible customer service! horrible front desk! They apparently think it's okay to give diamond members hotel rooms without working plumbing and toilets. Not only did they not give me a new hotel room because they were sold out, but they did not give me a refund because maintenance did not show up. They don't deserve your business stay at the hilton garden inn chandler! They are disgusting people and deserve to go out of business. Please see the evidence below!

Was staying here for a conference and I must say I'm very disappointed. I've been a Hilton Honors Gold member for many years and finally had enough stays to get diamond for the first time. As part of being diamond, I'm supposed to get access to the lounge if a hotel has one. This one does, but they failed to let me know this at checkin, and I only discovered after ready reviews here. I'm hoping it wasn't because of my appearance as I'm a bald bearded biker. Anyway, that was the least issue. The place is very grungy and in need of a serious cleaning and update. Our bathroom had mold around the shower (see picture), and the only reason I didn't ask for another room was we knew we weren't spending much time in the room. Then there's the issue of breakfast, they have a breakfast buffet like many other Hilton properties but what they fail to tell you until after you've gotten your food is that it costs almost 20.00 for powered eggs, undercooked bacon, overcooked bisquits and gravy made with water instead of milk (just plain gross). One of our party was asked to pay the 20.00, although he only had 1 glass of milk. Needless to say, he refused. Overall, this has got to be the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at, and theres been a few other bad ones, but nothing like this place.

    More unknown stain

Pretty disappointed in the room we got during a recent stay. We paid $135 for one night using our Hilton Honors rate for a 2 queen bed room. The rate was average compared to other properties in the area. The location of the hotel is great. Very close to a mall with plenty of food options and stores. There is a Chuck-e-Cheese in the same lot as the hotel. Free and easy parking. Staff was friendly during check in. The property looks nice from the outside. Got to our room and found the typical cleaning precautions put on all the rooms. The cleaning staff will not come in your room during the stay. I was disappointed with a couple things in the room. The AC seemed to struggle to keep the room cool. The drain in the shower was clogged and drained soooo slowly. There was some sort of stain all up and down the door jamb in the bathroom. How does housekeeping not notice these when "cleaning" the room. Made me began to wonder how good they really clean the rooms. One more thing I thought was kind of odd. After taking about 5-8 tissues from the Kleenex box in the bathroom, I noticed a change from them being white to an off-white color. Does the staff combine used tissue boxes? Overall, pretty disappointed with the room for what we paid, especially since there there were other less expensive options in the area. I have stayed at several other Hilton properties in the past, but none like this.

I would never recommend this hotel…read more I originally booked a 3-night stay but ended up arriving a day early. I called the day of my flight to add another night and was told it was no problem but it would be treated as two reservations and I would need to check out Sunday and check back in. I checked in around midnight Saturday and paid a $100 deposit. On Sunday I left my room with the privacy sign on the door. Around 3pm the front desk called telling me I needed to return immediately to check out and check back in for the second reservation. I returned within about 10 minutes and was required to pay another $100 deposit. When I returned to my room, the privacy sign was no longer on the door and had been placed inside the room, meaning someone had entered despite the sign being displayed. Monday my room was not cleaned. Tuesday my room was still not cleaned and I had no fresh towels. I called the front desk and spoke with Veronica, who argued with me about my reservations and told me rooms are only cleaned on the third day. At that point it was already the third day and my room still had not been serviced. She eventually brought towels and said staff had "dropped the ball." Tuesday night I asked Lena at the front desk if I could extend checkout until 2pm because my flight was later. She initially said no, then said it would require a fee but couldn't locate the policy anywhere. After calling Veronica she told me the fee would be $55. I declined and asked how late I could stay without a fee and she said 11:30am. When I returned to my room my key suddenly stopped working. After I went back downstairs and expressed how frustrating the situation was, Lena later called and said the 2pm checkout would be approved and the fee waived. At 11:30pm that same night Veronica called me from home explaining she had gone home sick, it was her second day as manager, and the team "needed work." The conversation went on far longer than it should have and felt extremely unprofessional. The next morning I left briefly with the privacy sign on my door and returned an hour later to find the sign once again placed back inside my room, meaning someone had entered my room again despite the sign being on the door. At checkout Jacob at the front desk was very kind and helpful. However when management became involved they mostly made excuses for the situation. They eventually offered compensation, but instead of refunding the night I personally paid for ($269), they refunded one of the nights that had been booked using my mother's reward points. In other words, the credit didn't even go back to the person who actually paid cash for the stay. Beyond the service issues, the property itself is poorly maintained. The AC units appear locked and do not properly cool the room. The shower bases are stained brown, the shower caddy is dirty, and metal fixtures throughout the room are rusting. The beds have almost no padding and the pillows smelled strongly of sweat. Housekeeping service was inconsistent and my room was never cleaned during the stay. I have stayed at the Cambria in Fargo, ND and had a completely different experience. Unfortunately this location felt closer to a budget motel than a Cambria hotel. I hope Choice Hotels corporate reviews this property because the guest experience and privacy issues during my stay were far below expected Cambria brand standards.

The bed was pretty good, no sink holes though I prefer a firmer mattress. The workout room was excellent for this size and class of hotel, very large and fully equipped and in good condition. The pool also looked nice and clean, however I could not use it as we had rain the day we stayed. There is a lot of road noise from Frye road and 3/4 of the rooms will have this noise, so request a room that faces south. Fortunately, at night the car noise was less and we wore ear plugs so were able to sleep. We stayed on a Saturday night so were not woken up by work traffic since it was Sunday morning. During the weekdays, I image the morning rush hour, which starts early in the Phoenix metro, would be very hard to sleep through.

I opted to stay here given the kitchenette and large desks, which made remote work easy. I stayed here for two nights and it was a great experience! I was able to enjoy the breakfast and had tons of the coffee, as it was good...better than what was in the room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were traveling from Kentucky to California and had a reservation at Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix/Chandler. Unfortunately, our vehicle suffered a major engine failure during the trip, leaving us stranded and unable to continue our travel plans. As a result, we needed to extend our stay. I called the hotel to request an extension and spoke with Assistant Manager Mariana Tumalle. I explained that I could not be physically present because I was dealing with the vehicle breakdown. The hotel already had my reservation, payment information, and card details on file through my booking. Despite this, Ms. Tumalle repeatedly refused to assist us over the phone and insisted that I had to be present in person. My wife was listed on the reservation and was physically at the hotel. She offered to use her own credit card to extend the stay, yet Ms. Tumalle still refused to help. What made the situation even more upsetting was that our son, who has autism, was experiencing a severe crisis at the time. We explained our circumstances and she could clearly see our child's distress, but she showed no empathy, compassion, or willingness to help. My wife then asked if a late checkout could be granted simply as a courtesy so she could calmly gather our belongings while waiting for family assistance with our son. Ms. Tumalle refused, stating that the room was needed and that housekeeping had to clean it. I later called again and spoke with the hotel manager, who was professional, courteous, and understanding. The manager immediately informed me that my wife could extend the reservation. Through a FaceTime call, I provided identification, and the manager confirmed there was no issue with extending our stay. This clearly demonstrated that the situation could have been resolved all along. By that point, however, my wife felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, and unwelcome due to the way she had been treated. Given the stress of our son's condition and the lack of basic customer service from Ms. Tumalle, we decided to leave the hotel. To be clear, we understand that a late checkout is not guaranteed and is provided at the hotel's discretion. Our complaint is not about being denied a favor. Our complaint is about the disrespectful, dismissive, and insensitive manner in which we were treated during a difficult family situation involving a child with a disability. The hotel manager handled the matter professionally and deserves recognition for her excellent customer service. Unfortunately, Assistant Manager Mariana Tumalle displayed behavior that was rude, condescending, and completely inconsistent with the level of hospitality we have come to expect from Hilton. Customer service should always be a priority in the hospitality industry. Guests should never be made to feel like a burden, especially when facing unexpected hardships. I sincerely hope ownership and management review this incident and take appropriate action so that no other family has to experience the same treatment. Based solely on our interaction with Assistant Manager Mariana Tumalle, this was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences we have ever had at a Hilton property.

This hotel checked all the boxes and then some. From the moment we walked in, the check-in process…read morewas smooth and effortless. The front desk clerk was friendly, funny, and genuinely personable--one of those interactions that immediately makes you feel welcome. The reception area itself had a cozy, boutique feel with a small pastry display and bar setup that added a nice touch. It's a one-person desk, which actually made it feel more intimate, though I could see it getting a bit backed up during peak times. The overall design of the hotel leans modern and clean with warm wood tones and neutral colors throughout. The lobby seating area was stylish and comfortable, with plush chairs and a large statement wall art piece that gave it a polished, upscale vibe. The bar area looked sleek and well put together--perfect for grabbing a drink or just hanging out. Our room was spacious, airy, and thoughtfully laid out. The two beds were large and comfortable with crisp, clean linens, and nothing felt cramped. The wood flooring gave it a more elevated feel than your typical carpeted hotel room. There was a nice sitting area with a couch and mounted TV, plus a functional workspace that made it easy to relax or get things done. The mini fridge and coffee setup were neatly tucked into a built-in station, keeping everything organized and clutter-free. The bathroom was clean and modern with a glass-enclosed shower and bright lighting. It felt updated and well-maintained, which is always a huge plus. One of the standout features was the view--our window overlooked the pool courtyard, and it honestly felt like a little resort moment. The pool itself looked like a great size, surrounded by lounge chairs, umbrellas, and palm trees, with plenty of guests out there enjoying themselves. It gave off a relaxed, vacation-like vibe without being overcrowded. They also offer a coin-operated laundry area, which is super convenient for longer stays. Breakfast was another win--there was a good variety of warm options like eggs, potatoes, sausage, and oatmeal, along with muffins, juices, and toast. It was simple but satisfying and well-stocked. And the location? Major bonus. The hotel sits right across from a mall and is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and eateries, making it incredibly easy to find something good without having to go far. Overall, this place strikes a great balance between comfort, style, and convenience. Clean, modern, and welcoming with just enough personality to make it memorable--I'd absolutely stay here again.
