I had a good experience. I wasn't out and about in the city, but really just taking a much needed day to myself and my husband (who travels for work). The room comes with a full kitchen and a bathroom that has a little section for towels and counter while closing off the toilet and bathtub. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and there was enough room to hold all our luggage. I had a very comfortable, relaxed evening. Something I really like is that the pool is shared by this property and the Holiday Inn next door. I think they're owned by the same parent company, but it's good to see the hotels looking at reducing the environmental impact by consolidating pools instead of building more. There are also EV charging ports available if you have an electric car. The hotel has a gym and amenities but I didn't use them, so I can't review their quality. Nice experience overall though. For visitors, this place has what you need. It's not fancy but it serves the purpose well. Free breakfast and good options. To go coffee containers and can make your own parfait. Also can make your own waffle which was surprisingly good. The bed is comfy and the room was pretty clean. There's a pool and gym as well. Staff are nice and I had some noise issues and they were able to help resolve. Overall, decent stay and convenient location for the local organizations around. Saw a lot of visitors on vacation and travelers on work trips as well. read more

Came to spend a few days in Phoenix for fall break, so the daughter could enjoy a bit more ice skating. She brought a friend this time so we needed more space. This hotel is perfect - we got a two bedroom suite. One room is a king with a bathroom and the second room has two queens and a bathroom. Ideal set up. Good community space with decent size and stocked kitchen and family area. We are on bottom floor which normally concerns me but we didn't hear anyone above or outside of us. Plenty of parking, good comp breakfast that they kept filled to very end of service time and highlight! Their soda fountain has Coke Zero. That alone gets them a star. Beds are comfortable and the pillows are great. Not those hard small square ones you get at most places. read more

I seem to have become a real SNOB when it comes to hotels! LOL! Locally and internationally, I have traveled and experienced many! THIS place was truly fabulous in all aspects of hospitality, customer service and comfort (except for my bed which was too hard). From the time I entered the building for check in to the moment of my checkout, each and every person I encountered was so pleasant!! The property was clean and tidy with an obviously well-run staff. A super sweet staff member named Jorge greeted me at the elevators every morning and even remembered my name!! "Hi YoYo!" He'd say with his quaint, thick Latino accent and sparkling blue eyes! (Aren't you smiling? It tickled me no end to talk with this kind man.) My room was well-appointed and tastefully designed for the traveler. The kitchenette was fabulous and had pretty much everything one needed to cook and create meals and cleanup easily. Cookware, dishes and silverware, full sized refrigerator, a microwave oven, two-burner stovetop, coffee pot, dishwasher, cutlery and more! Delightfully fresh linens and pillows were on the king size bed, robust towels and bath amenities were in the bathroom, great water pressure, lots of excellent bright lights throughout and even REAL hangers in the closet!! Not the ones with metal nubs so people don't steal them, but normal wood hangers! Yay! The free breakfasts were slightly different each day, and had eggs and other hot items, cold items, cereals, fruits, breads and bagels AND DELICIOUS BREWED COFFEE!! Not instant! (Que the harmonizing angels singing!) The dining area was large and diverse in its seating arrangements with choices of regular tables, high tops, bar tops, sofas and couches with TVs and attentive staff to keep everything stocked, cleaned and orderly. The pool is shared with Holiday Inn nextdoor, but the weather wasn't warm enough for me to bother. I was extremely delighted with this hotel and will choose to come here next time I'm in the Mesa, AZ neighborhood. Good management is obvious!! read more

I do not recommend this hotel at all, specially for a long stay. Pros - 1. Really good breakfast and it's free 2. Pool is clean and you can ask for towels at the front desk for no extra charge 3. Nicely decorated and safe for the area Cons- 1. Every time a guest used the bathroom in the morning, the toilet in the bathroom would sound the alarm and wake us up. 2. There was semen smothered on our bedsheets the first day we arrived. I highly HIGHLY recommend you ask for a change in bedsheets as soon as you arrive, even if they tell you they've changed it. It was genuinely disgusting and on top of that, the front desk staff decided to hand me the sheets myself to change the bed sheets since it was after hours, but we were able to come to solution eventually. Imagine having your guests change their own bedsheets. 3. If you are staying at the hotel for more than a week, they will not clean the room at all. We had to ask several times to get cleaning service after we ran out of towels and toilet paper and it was a nightmare to get anyone to respond. 4. No one will compensate you for the inconvenience. They kept telling me a staff member will reach out but no one did. We were so over the stay towards the end that we decided to just let it go. I do not recommend this hotel - our friends stayed at the hotel next door and they had no issues at all. read more

The hotel was very nice, but the employees were not. My wife (name withheld) is disabled. She is physically disabled and has short term memory issues. The hotel maids actually complained to her that she did not clean her room enough prior to the maids cleaning them! My wife is pretty much homebound, so she was in her room 24/7. We stayed at Staybridge Suites nearly two months at the beginning of this year while our home was being remodeled. My wife only requested room cleaning two or three times while we were there because she had trouble with the scheduling rules. Maria, the head housekeeper complained because my wife left her robe on the bed when they came to clean the room and scolded my wife telling her that she needed to make sure everything was cleared off the bed so they could change the sheets. Then when we checked out, I accidentally panicked my wife when I came to her door and said "Let's Go" (she panicks easily) So, she grabbed her suitcase and threw her clothes in it and left. Maria actually CALLED me and complained that the room was a mess when my wife checked out of the suite, and charged me over $100 extra cleaning fees because there were some envelopes in a drawer and a bottle of orange juice in the fridge and a couple of "other unacceptable" things like that. The trash cans were empty, there were no dirty towels left on the floor, and no dirty dishes in the sink. I think Maria's main complaint was that my wife did not leave her a final tip (though she had left daily tips). Maria made my wife cry. I can promise you, we will NEVER stay at your hotel again! I would like to add that I did not have a pillowtop mattress as adverised. My mattress was rock hard! read more

What a breath of fresh air!!! Wow! Beautiful establishment, clean pool area, very nice and clean rooms. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows (to me, that's a big deal, because who wants to go on vacation and have a bad nite of sleep because of the bed?!!??). The water pressure in the shower was sooo nice. These are all things that matter most to me when I stay at a hotel. They serve a full breakfast in the morning with friendly staff. I'd like to give Abby a shoutout, we asked for more pillows and blankets and she immediately showed up at our room- service with a smile. Staybridge Suites are the best and I'm not just saying that. They are very clean and comfortable for big families. We love to stay in places where we don't feel like we have to wear shoes or worry about having our bags zipped up the entire time. We had a kitchen which was great because we could save money on our dinners by eating in. They also had a big swimming pool and jacuzzi here. A laundry room is great for those like us who travel for a week or more. The breakfast here was great. They really tried. They had biscuits and gravy and lots of seasonal fruit. read more

Stayed for the weekend, no housekeeping on Saturday or Sunday. Breakfast was above average and our suite was a bit small, but comfortable beds and a good kitchen. Not sure if I could compare this to Hilton's suite locations as they are much larger. Nice people all around so not a bad place if your in the area. read more

The hotel itself was clean, new and smelled great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grab and go breakfast COVID edition was impressive with breakfast sandwiches and pancakes we could heat up in our room. The coffee was meh and the creamer was hard to come by. The major disappointment was that they limited pool use to 1 hour per day that you had to schedule in advance. They should have communicated this at least at the time of booking. When it is 108 outside the pool is an important part of your stay. The internet also did not work for Nintendo Switches. We asked the front desk if we could get help from IT and they said it was a known issue and nothing they could do. When you have kids you're trying to keep entertained the internet should always be priority these days. read more

Staying in these lovely new rooms that are really well kept is so worth it. It's located really close to the freeway, and it's also close to any and all stores in the area. From Walmart to the west to the Target on power in the east. The Superstition Mall is really close as well. My favorite part about the Staybridge Suites Gilbert-East Mesa is the view during the sunset. They are just in the Prime location to see the bright pink sky. Their pool looks beautiful at night as well. Anyone visiting the area for friends and family, or you just need a staycation close to him this is the place to go. read more

I was quoted one price through Priceline requested one king bed with separate living room at Staybridge suites in Gilbert I was on the phone with the man for a half hour checking to make sure the date and price were correct as I was having work done in the home and I need to be out of the house. Got to the hotel yesterday the reservation was totally wrong I had pre-paid for three nights due to making sure the construction people would be at my house for those threedays. At least, Staybridge said they didn't have anything else due to a flood at another hotel and the people were shuffled over to Staybridge. that's not my fault. I asked them to call Priceline and cancel the wrong reservation and asked if I could have a room for the night and they charged me $30 more their reasoning was anything after January 1 the price goes up so I looked online after going out of the hotel for a while and the price was quoted $20 less online The manager suggested I call the hotel direct to get the best price but then he took advantage of me well I recommend this place again never and I will never book on Priceline again read more

Called to confirm check in with a conformation number. Lady couldn't find it. Gave last name. Lady couldn't find it. Gave first name, she said we have a person for that date with your first name but different last name. Really? Duh! That is not me. Heres your sign idiot. So finally after searching for 5 to 10 mins she finds it. So she ask in a pushy tone of voice, you had some questions for me? So I asked if I could check in early because I have my handicapped mother who is on oxygen to get her in and situated because I had to work that day at 1pm. She shortly said well if we have any rooms available... I stopped her right there because that's why a reservation for 12 days and confirmation number were received. I just need a simple request and this ill informed phone jockey was making it like I was trying to pull her last tooth out! People like this should be in the service industry for one thing. Also if you hate your job that much get a different one. Dont treat your customers like they are stupid when in turn your the ignorant one. They lost my business. And I will post on social media to all my 1300 friends and groups what a rude person that the Staybridge suites has answering the phone ! read more

I am also a business traveler, and have had the same exasperating experience as Regan S. No housekeeping service, and after an exhausting workweek, came back on Friday and room still not cleaned at 5 pm. Have had no "full cleaning" even after requesting it after a full week's stay. Had to ask for toilet paper, tissue, coffee packets, and even soap! They did not bother to check the liquid soap dispenser in the shower, and I literally had to use the shampoo dispenser to finish off my shower! After a second separate stay, still same bad housekeeping experience. After repeatedly talking to "Micah" the manager, he admitted that when people check out, their number one priority is to clean those rooms first, and not those of the guests currently staying there already. Not even their so called "light housekeeping" service. We're talking nothing at all. They don't even enter the room to replace towels or take out the trash! read more

We had an awful experience here in March and I am just getting to the review now. I'm going to be fair but I'll tell you the biggest thing was that housekeeping left our door open all day while we were out. We stayed three nights. We checked in late without issue around 8:30pm. The fire alarm in the room was chirping very loud. We called the front desk. We waited about 30 minutes. It was loud. I took the battery out. Still chirping. Desk said they couldn't find a battery. About 10:30 we called and said we need this resolved or need another room. We got a battery around 11pm. We also noticed the previous people left drawers full of underwear and other things. Some food and drinks left in the fridge. Not huge deals. The room was overall clean. We left our things in our bags. Next day we were out all day. We left a note just asking for shampoo and conditioner because they were empty and we forgot ours at the last hotel...and new towels. We came back at 6pm. Housekeeping hadn't been there. We went to the pool. The pool is nice but it's shared with another express property next door. Huge groups of families and kids eating in the pool, etc. no towels around. Only about 10 chairs/ lounge chairs total for the huge area. Again, not huge deals. You'll have to expect large groups/ families here. It's not a place for a romantic getaway or quiet if that's your aim. Breakfast is fine if you get there right when it starts or you have the large groups eating everything up. Filling their plates to the sky. We went to the desk for towels for the pool and room. Next day we are out all day and come back to find housekeeping used the dead bolt to prop our door open and never closed it. Who knows how long our room had been open. Luckily nothing was stolen. I called to talk to a manager and the guy tells me he's sorry that happened. Then we notice the garbage wasn't even taken out. Bed was made so housekeeping did leave it open. The third day we come back and still no garbage taken out. No new towels. We are out hiking in dirt all day which is why we asked for towels or I would not be wasteful. I went down to talk to a manager and the guy tells me "I could be a manager." I tell him about our experience. Ask him what's up with the housekeeping and tell him leaving the door open is unacceptable not just because of theft but for safety reasons. Other guests came behind me. I respectfully said I would continue with him later. He said he would like to follow-up with me. Then about 10 minutes later a rude housekeeper shows up at our room and asks, "you need service?" You could tell the manager told her we complained and she came up with attitude. It's 6.30 at night and our room had barely been touched in three days. This is not a cheap hotel either. I understand and they post that housekeeping is limited to basics but service was poor. When I did touch base with this "manager"he said he could give me points if I was signed up for their rewards program for my inconveniences... and I'm only telling you a handful we had. And I'm really pretty easy going and not one to complain much but this place does not have its act together one bit. After we got home we were charged some $15 extra fee for something and I just didn't even want to call and talk to these people again. They probably charged me for the dirty underwear the previous person left. It's like taking to people who don't even get it and don't understand a thing about hospitality. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. read more

Honestly, this is the worst hotel I have stayed in. I travel 48 states for work and have stayed at many hotels, this one takes the win.. Rooms are to be lightly cleaned Monday-Friday. I checked in Thursday. Came home Friday evening to an untouched room. I went down to the front desk to ask for towels and that my room be cleaned Saturday since it wasn't done Friday. The gentleman working the front desk told me that my room could not be cleaned because room service was focusing on rooms that were being checked out. Keep in mind their policy is that if you request on weekend you room will be cleaned. Saturday morning went to the desk and a very sweet lady ASSURED me that the room would be cleaned and apologized. Came back Saturday night after an exhausting day to find my room UNTOUCHED. This is night THREE... with an untouched room. Might I add that this hotel is not cheap and I am greatly disappointed in the customer service. I will never stay here again and would strongly recommend guest reconsider before staying. read more
