First time in Vancouver. I can give you the same old its a clean room, friendly people, etc..(all true by the way) but this is where I truly found it to be worth the stay. The bar in the lobby.... No. The alcohol is no better or worse than some other places. It was the the male bartender, shout out to him, last night. Someone in my party asked for an "Apple Sour Amerreto" and he did not know what I was talking about. Hard to belive as this drink is made pretty much everywhere. I provide the recipe and he says let give it a go. According to my resident expert, it came out good! There is what made this visit stand out. He could have said I don't know it, thus we dont make it but he didn't. Took the extra step to satisfy a customer. I will be coming back. read more

To fully appreciate this location, may I suggest becoming a Diamond Member in order to fully appreciate everything about this Hilton. Location wise, this is as good as it gets for anyone coming to Vancouver 1st time. Lots of decent restaurants nearby and Uber would save you time/$$$ vs rental cars. There's city library, a mall, tons of boutique shops, NO homeless issues in this part of town, and close enough to Stanley Park/Coal Harbor. Staff, very pro, rooms are well kept/clean/efficient. read more

I'm sure there are many top tier options here in YVR but the Hilton really delivered for us in a way that was unexpected. I am a lifetime diamond member with Hilton and sometimes get upgraded and sometimes not. Rarely in nice properties during peak season but this one turned it all around. 18th floor king suite with a balcony was just what we needed. The weather has been spectacular and the patio is perfect. Petite but worth every penny. Staff service here is above the level we typically experience so kudos to the hotel and as it seems everyone is trained and empowered to serve the customer. Bell stand managed our bags while we explored the city. Front desk was great to call us when our room was ready and the wait staff at Kendricks was perfect. Nice recovery on a food miss and all smiles and a can do. Suite is very large with everything we need. Love the Nespresso and the human size tub!! Location is great if you are a downtown person. Near the stadium and Yaletown. Cruise and convention center are not far. Tons of food and drink options to suit any taste or spend. Metro downtown stop is about 5-7 minute walk which connects to the airport or waterfront or wherever. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

Wow, it was so nice to have a great experience at a Hilton hotel. Lately, our stays at the Hilton family hotels have been lacking. Not here. Our room was big and comfortable, staff was super friendly and helpful. On site restaurant with breakfast was great, and the food credit actually covered the breakfast cost. This is how Hilton hotels used to be. Sadly, in the US our experience at Hilton properties have been declining. Perhaps Hilton should look to this property to see how it should be done! read more

Fantastic place to stay in Vancouver. Love the view. Love the bed. Excellent coffee in room with a Nespresso- dark, medium and decaf pods are available. Great location - IGA supermarket just next door! Also the hotel restaurant is very good. We really enjoyed the happy hour burger and beer. All the staff are very helpful. Stunning hotel located close to everything you need . The rooms are separated from living space, gives it a nice feel. They have a pool and jacuzzi on the 3rd floor and coed sauna. Great location to have visiting friends and family stay if you live in a downtown smaller home. My family stayed here multiple times and nothing but rave reviews. Great location, great service. Front desk people were so helpful and the concierge helped us with tickets to local attractions. Location is great too! They have an underground parking lot that is easy to get in and out of. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed on the 22nd floor that overlooked Robson. Out to the right you could see Vancouver Tower, and below us were residential buildings with a roof garden and one with a dog park. The room was plenty for 2 people. Cute little seating areas in front of each bed, separate tub from shower. read more

Had a restful visit here for 4 nights for $1400. I like how the rooms are separate from the living room. Fantastic service and daily cleaning. Love the big windows. The desk is great. The bath is warm. Shower head perfect pressure. Big mirror with great lighting. TVs aren't great. No streaming and live tv is boring with nothing really on. The gym is ok, lots of elliptical machines. Good free weights though and benches. The sauna never got hot. The steam room takes too long to be ready. I didn't get to use the hot tub or pool but they look dreamy. read more

This hotel's location is its biggest perk, it's in the heart of downtown Vancouver near just about everything. Everyone working there has a smile and greets you, they're very helpful and have great suggestions on where to go. Room was clean and spacious, though the AC was a little finicky because some nights we woke up freezing and had to turn it down, and other nights we woke up sweating because it was off. My biggest complaint was the elevators. This 30+ story building has just two elevators, so the mornings and evenings are brutal waiting and waiting. Most times the car is so full you're waiting 15+ minutes for the next one, and if one breaks down like it did on the day we left you'll be waiting 30+ minutes. They can't build another elevator so not sure how that could ever improve, just plan ahead to wait. read more

Beautiful hotel. Large comfortable rooms. They have clearly been upgrading the property and take pride in the quality of the space. We stayed in the one bedroom suite and there was plenty of room, extra closet space, super comfortable bed, big floor to ceiling windows, and a walk-in in shower and tub. The gym is spacious. There's a great pool if the weather cooperates. And breakfast in the restaurant is a lovely start to the day (although the price is wild if it's not included in your stay). I REALLY wanted to give this property 5 stars. They in the process of upgrading the building (apparently it used to be the Westin) and we encountered several issues that they are working on. The internet was the biggest issue as the signal was not strong enough to support an audio or video call. Even processing simple emails was a task without toggling between different logins. Additionally the elevator broke down on our second day and we were stuck waiting for 15 minutes on two occasions. Hopefully the rest of the renovations go well and they can sort out these issues. read more

Clean, well-maintained downtown with lovely views, nice complimentary breakfast and friendly staff who really went above and beyond. Unfortunately, not enough elevators so wait times were long. $39 secure parking underground. Rooms were quiet, especially on the upper floors, beds were tremendously comfortable, bathrooms were large and bright (although a low-level light setting would have been nice in the middle of the night.) We felt very safe walking to the nearby beautiful False Creek waterfront from the hotel for an hour. read more

This hotel was in the PERFECT spot for our travels! We were able to park our car, with an additional fee, right on site, but also could easily walk around and find different places/restaurants. The set-up of the king room was nice for us to have the separate living room area for relaxing at night. I appreciated their coat hanging space, too, since it was rainy. Being a Hilton gold member, we were able to get continental breakfast each day. They have a restaurant in the hotel that's available to use. My only reason for giving 4 stars is that their elevators are way too busy. We found ourselves, along with other hotel guests, waiting a lengthy amount of time to get on one. I overheard several complaints. On the final day we were there, they actually opened their service elevator because guests were having to wait so long. It required us to plan ahead for timely events because we didn't know how long we'd be waiting to get on one. Otherwise, it was a great stay! read more

We decided to come here after Southwest Airlines canceled our flight out of Seattle. It's great to be flexible during irritating situations. This one worked out great! The Downtown Hilton here is top-notch and just an amazing hotel. Great city views, nice rooms, and great service! The valet Arif (sp?) went above and beyond anyone else there. He remembered guests' names, would offer good insights about town, and was just plain friendly and helpful! He is so valuable to this hotel! This is I higher end Hilton, so expect to pay a bit more, but we didn't feel gouged here. We really can't wait to come back again in the summer! read more

The hotel is charming and nice. Rooms are middle size as I took the double queen rooms and they said the one I have is the biggest size for the double queen rooms. When we walked into the room I smelled the smell of vomit and saw a stain on the couch that has been cleaned. I did complain about it and they moved me to a new room right away with no issues. The manager called me and apologised as well offered me free breakfast for the next day. I thanked him and let him know that we will pass on it as we don't wake up early. So he took care of my parking... to me it's a very very good business management. Thank you for awesome stay! read more

CONS No Available Executive Lounge +/- - Sometimes hard to find folks at the front desk - Interesting split level design (main entrance at sub-ground, desk on 1st) PROS - Convenient Location on Robson and near Yaletown - Nice view of the City (and the Pool) from our high floor. - Wine and Beer Store, Tim Hortons, and IGA Market all on the same block. - Very comfortable, spacious, and quiet 2-Room Queen Junior Suite - Impressive breakfast spread at the in-house Hendricks Resto Lounge - Friendly and helpful restaurant and front desk staff. - Clean and inviting Lobby area with free newspapers (!) - Exceptional luggage and porter service read more

What a great stay. I wish I would have extended my stay longer, that's how much I enjoyed my time in this hotel. First of all, the location is really ideal. I was in walking distance of pretty much every significant tourist attraction in town. The staff was probably the nicest of any staff I've ever encountered at any hotel. From the front door staff who helped me get a taxi on my way home, to the staff at the front desk who held my bags when my room wasn't ready and called me immediately when a room was available. Every time I walked by the station, they knew me by name as well. The room itself was clean. It was also really large. It was a one bedroom king room with a city view. The bathroom had a shower and tub. The bed was quite comfortable and linens were nice. The living room area was a nice size and I was able to eat dinner there one night- I was able to have my Uber eats directly brought up with the help of the staff as well. The hotel features a 24 hour gym which has a steam and sauna. It also has a pool and hot tub which have their own associated hours. There's a nice restaurant in the lobby as well. I hope to come back to Vancouver soon. This will be the first place I look to stay. read more

Great hotel to stay in -- especially if using points. Location is within a 1 mile of walk of most of the major foodie areas in downtown Vancouver -- just a half mile from trendy Yaletown. It's also a short walk to the stadium and False Creek and the Science Place too. Rooms are a bit dated and water pressure in the shower is good. While the continental breakfast was complimentary for us (Diamond members), we only ate it 1 of the 4 mornings we were there because we felt it was subpar. read more

We were greeted immediately upon arrival with an offer to take our bags to our room for us. It was a nice welcome and boy are we glad we took them up on it because the elevators were ridiculously cramped! The elevators here are small and slow! Small and slow... not a good combination for a busy hotel. That's really the only downside here. The rooms are nice and the hotel is clean. There are nice amenities like a pool and gym and in the room you'll find everything you need including a microwave and safe. read more

This was a great selection for our family vacation for a few reasons. 1. The location was great. Many options for dining and shopping all around us. It was towards the end of Robson so it was relatively easy to get in and out of the city. 2. The property itself is clean and in good condition. Our room was the perfect amount of space for our family. We had space to move around, and the bathroom was a nice size as well. There was ample space to put luggage elsewhere, besides the floor, which is a huge thing for me! 3. Parking was convenient underneath the building. Though we didn't valet, every valet/bell service employee we encountered was very pleasant. There was one gentleman in particular who was always so friendly. I wish I had gotten his name, but he always made us feel welcomed when we pulled up. We never had a problem looking for a space to self-park either. 4. As with many other hotel properties in this day and age, rooms aren't serviced daily, which we don't mind. Upon request 24 hrs in advance, you can ask for service. This would be fine except that one morning that we really could have used it, we weren't able to since it was outside of the window. Housekeeping did bring us new sheets and a comforter as requested instead. And when we did ask for new towels during our stay, that was also fulfilled promptly. 5. Though we didn't use the pool, it looked inviting and was overlooking Robson. 6. We also didn't end up using the gym, though we appreciated it being avail 24hrs. 7. Check-in was easy and despite the digital key not appearing in my app prior to check in, the front desk agent was able to get it working after check in. 8. The elevators can get quite busy, of course during check out. At one point we did use the service elevator as an option and appreciated that it was made available for guest use to ease the traffic. 9. The rate was fair for all the reasons mentioned above. Overall, we would choose to stay here again when we come to Vancouver, if the rate is reasonable. It made for a memorable trip. read more

Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms. The rooms are older but in good shape. Continental Breakfast is fresh and well stocked. Restaurant staff are polite and don't hover. There is a $13. add on for full buffet, typical hot food bacon, sausage, potatoes the twist here is they also have an egg station included in the add on. Clearly a 5 star but they do not have a license to serve liquor before 9:00am. No gin/juice, no Irish cream/coffee kind of a bummer. read more

This will be long but worth the read, honest. First, a little backstory. My wife and I are currently Gold Hilton Honors members. After searching online, we noticed that Hilton's prices were SIGNIFICANTLY higher than prices we were finding on third party sites like Priceline. I tried calling the hotel twice, Hilton's price match team three times, and even chatted with customer service online. All of that effort to book through Hilton netted us absolutely nothing. We ended up booking through Priceline, unfortunately, as Hilton didn't match anything-even with screen shots of our pricing. The difference was about 33% higher per day through Hilton's own site. About 2 days before our trip, we noticed there was going to be severe rainstorms and, while trip insurance was purchased, I called the hotel and got a hold of their reservations manager, Tracy. She said not to worry, the hotel would honor any cancellation BUT suggested that we make the trip anyway. Vancouver would still be beautiful. She apologized for Hilton Corporate's lack of a price match and the loss of our points for the stay. She didn't tell us what was happening next. Upon our arrival to the hotel, I spoke with the front desk manager and shared our troubles, also noting that I talked with Tracy. I was cordial but I guess it could be perceived as a bit of a "Karen moment." LOL! Then...it happened. I found that Tracy upgraded our room to a king suite AND had champagne delivered to our room! Wow! Needless to say, the room was fantastic, the views AMAZING, and the hotel's customer service was outstanding. It goes without saying that we'd come back to this hotel anytime. The service by everyone was that good & my wife and I can't thank Tracy enough. After all, it was her efforts that restored our faith in the Hilton brand. read more

Our trip to Vancouver on one of the toughest travel days was a frustrating challenge. The staff at the hotel is AMAZING and so accommodating despite challenges of their own. The hotel is clean, quiet, and close to many amenities and tourist attractions. I was so impressed with the kindness from all the staff and their personal recommendations right down to the train. They acted as though we were family we knew forever versus just another person at the hotel that is in for a few nights. We will stay here again! read more

Super nice staff. One of the elevators was broken while I was here which made it hell getting to and from the room. The stairs don't lead you to the lobby but outside which is not helpful when the elevators are always full with people on the way down. My biggest complaint is that there was weird broken things in my room like the safety rail in the tub. Because the safety rail was broken it looks like someone tried to use the towel rail to guide them out of the bathroom and so that was about to fall off the wall. And there was a random small horizontal mirror in the small entry bench that was crooked. When I tried to straiten it I realized it was there because someone had cut an access hole in the wall and instead of filling it or putting up an access panel the put hanger rails and a random mirror in. It was just confusing. Oh and one of the light switches did nothing which activated me because I spent way too long trying to figure out what it connected to, which was nothing I guess. Had an opportunity to stay here for a short break before the USA Thanksgiving. If you didn't know, Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving the 2nd Monday of October. The location of this hotel is clutch. For what we did in Vancouver, we felt very centralized to everything. We were able to walk to majority of what we needed to do within 20 minutes or less. Lots of shopping and food options around. If you decided to do public transport, the subway station is less than a 4 minute walk. I do question the cleanliness of the hotel, when we initially checked in. The 1st room we had, smelt like welt dog and moldy. The initial employee than tried to upgrade me into a different room, opposed to just switching us out for free. Eventually, the manager was able to get us in another room and take care of us. Because of this experience, it's the only reason it's not 5/5 stars. The rooms were spacious and didn't feel crammed like you would sometimes on hotels located in downtowns of metro cities. read more

Hilton Downtown was 5 stars. The Bellman staff was amazing!!!! They recommended places to visit and always asked if we wanted water. We even took our kids to an ice skating rink at West End recreation because they suggested it after finding out we wouldn't be able to catch a hockey game. My kids loved it so much we did two sessions of ice skating and stayed later to see two Hilton Staff members play hockey. I believe Roger and Tim are their names. I can't say enough great things about the bellman staff. Rooms are nice and this hotel is a great location to walk or drive around Vancouver. read more

As a Diamond Hilton Honors customer we were up-graded to a corner King suite on an upper floor with great views, living room, large shower, and generous BATHTUB!
