We stayed here only for the night before driving home from a week stay in banff. It is a very luxurious hotel the architecture and design is very modern. We may want to stay here next time for longer to comment on their amenities and service. We didn't even eat on property so no comment on the on site restaurants. Pros: There is a casino downstairs where you can play slots and table games, minimum bet is 10$ Canadian for craps and 5$ for craps table The bed and sheets were really soft And comfy. The hotel toiletries are Aesop. Which is really nice and luxury. There is a nespresso machine and safe and robe and slippers. Very strict they have a person checking if people coming up the elevators making sure they really stay there. Cons: Parking is expensive and not included in the hotel stay. We payed additional 50$ for 24 hrs. And we also got a parking violation ticket the next day upon checkout despite providing our plate number to the front desk upon check in so I'm not sure why we probably forgot to do something and we're never instructed on how their parking code. The room was loud. We stayed at room 971 where in we can hear loud music from the rooftop bar so we weren't able to take a nap after driving for 9 hrs. It was loud at 4pm maybe their walls our too thin. No ref only a cooler where you need to put ice in it. To store your drinks and food

Excellent service all around! The staff throughout are on point. Room service food is by far the best in room service on all the hotels in have ever been to. Thank you to the staff for all you do here!

I could write a poem to this hotel about how and why I love it. Where do I start? We arrived to a helpful doorman who helped us go to the 6th floor lobby. A lovely gentleman named Eis checked us in. He recognized it was my husband's birthday this month with a little box of chocolates. So thoughtful. We enjoyed a huge room on the 7th floor looking out toward the waterfront. The bed was so comfortable! We never wanted to leave. The decor is based around its name - the Douglas fir. The door is a big gorgeous wood door. Which leads to the big wood headboard. The industrial look of the concrete ceilings is complimented by industrial style lamps, fixtures, and furniture. There is no fridge, a Yeti cooler with ice does the trick. The bathroom is vast. The shower is large. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash by Aesop are available. No bar soap is available. The towels are big and fluffy. A robe is available too. There are several bars and restaurants inside the hotel or you can go to the casino which can be entered via the hotel. Two have a happy hour that we loved. I can't recommend the sushi enough at the Victor. The hotel is at the Parc Casino. It's easy to get to via boat, train, and plane. We loved the location, did a lot of walking to all the downtown hot spots but the hotel is still in the heart of downtown. It's right next to the Canucks stadium, if you are interested in a hockey match. One stay and you'll be back ten more times!

Flew into Vancouver for a concert and spent 1 night at The Douglas. Great service at check in with a welcome beer and Kombucha. Great staff with a great hipster vibe to the hotel. The room was lovely with a great view of the Cambie Street bridge. Coffee, robe and slippers all available in the room as well as the use of a yeti cooler for a day out. The hotel backs onto BC Place and Roger's Arena so it's a great location for any games, concerts and major events in the city. Yaletown is right outside the door and it's a great community to grab a coffee and stroll through. Close to the waterfront and all the wonderful things the city of Vancouver is known for. The hotel was so quiet so we were able to enjoy a late start in the morning after a late night out. Would highly recommend and hope to be back again soon.

Loved our stay at the Douglas! It's connected to JW Marriott so you can use the JW Marriott gym during the stay. The room was nice and the hotel staff were all so helpful and friendly! We loved that this hotel is pet friendly so we took our dog and they had a bed and treats for him in the room! There is a restaurant in the main floor which turns into a bar/lounge at night with a DJ and music so you can grab drinks and hang out with friends! When we visit Vancouver, we definitely want to stay here again!

We had an unreal time staying here at the Douglas. We had an absolutely amazing stay. The service was super nice and the rooms were incredibly comfortable. The location is great, and there are tons of great restaurants on the property. We definitely would return again.

Pros: nice ambiance, eclectic classy music, good wine, good cheese on charcuterie plate Cons: slow service, mediocre meat on charcuterie plate, not enough crackers on charcuterie plate

This is a review based on a 6 night stay from June 23 to July 5, 2022. Pros: -Walking distance close to Creekside Park, the location of the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat festival, which was the main reason for selecting this hotel, which is part of Mariott Bonvoy, allowing me to earn points/free nights. -Walking distance to Costco and lots of restaurants, shops, etc. Very tasty and popular gelato place is next door, bakeries closeby, and convenience store across the street. -Free Kombucha with different flavors, every day upon request. -Nice and professional check in staff at counter, anyone you meet in the lobby or elevator, etc. -Bathroom is beautiful and large. -High quality expensive shampoo, lotions, etc. in bathroom. -Nice bathrobes and 2 of them (one in bathroom, one in closet). -Beautiful, gorgeous, high quality gym with lots of equipment, space, and views, albeit located at adjacent JW Mariott (go to "lobby" on 6th floor, walk across patio area, take elevator up to fitness gym/spa) -Casino is located b/w Douglas and JW Mariott in the same building, as another form of entertainment. -Easy to spot this hotel (bronze shiny)! Cons: -Dark throughout hotel. Little lighting. Dark decor in public bathroom, hallways, etc. -Room is on small side. -My observation: room with two queen beds seemed larger than room with king bed. (I stayed in room with king bed for 4 nights and room with two queen bed for 2 nights.) -No refrigerator in room. -No microwave in room (this would be nice, but not required; many nice hotels do not have microwave). -Little counterspace in bathroom. -No pool, not even a pool at JW Mariott, which shares space. -You get charged for a third adult person (according to making reservations on website).

I love this hotel ! Located at the Parq casino, it's one of 2 hotels on premises. The theme of the hotel is the Douglas Fir, and you can see this throughout, from the front desk, to the unfinished roofing. There is even a "suggested exercise" you can do in your room- standing up on a chair, reaching high like a Douglas fir ( something along those lines ) The visuals it brought to mind ! The front desk staff is excellence! They are polite and helpful, as expected. I loved the bathrooms! The big all glass stand alone shower was awesome. While staying here, you can chose from many places to eat. They also have D6 lounge right by the front lobby, which has excellent boozy pop cycles! Overall it's a great 4 star hotel. Highly recommend it.

This is a great hotel that provides incredible service! I would highly encourage anyone visiting Vancouver to stay here. The service is by far some of the best service I have ever received at a hotel, the amenities included were extensive, and the rooms were suitable for two guests. I will say, check-in being in the sixth floor was a confusing and not communicated well to guests prior to check-in. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and would encourage other folks visiting Vancouver to stay at this location. It is very walkable to nearby restaurants and also offers some onsite.

I stayed here on a Sunday night with my husband and overall we had an amazing experience! Highlights: I loved the beautiful and trendy decor/interiors, fantastic front desk customer service, Aesop products in every room (it was heavenly), and espresso machine in each room! The bed was sooo comfortable, the shower/bathroom felt like a mini spa, and i really liked the hotel fitness center! I loved that the location was walkable to many restaurants, shops, and across the street from a bike rental shop. The hotel staff was amazing... 5 stars. I appreciated that they gave us great tips on what to see and do in the area and their kindness felt genuine. Cons: Our room was a few stories above the courtyard/outdoor lounge and both the music and people drinking below got pretty loud at night. Not the worst thing, but something to keep in mind.

We checked in for valentines and received this in our hotel room with a handwritten welcome message

I've always…read morewanted to stay at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia (on W Georgia St) or the L'Hermitage Hotel (on Richards St) as they're located closer to the places I frequented when in town so this time, I checked on availability and pricing. A one-bedroom signature suite at L'Hermitage was significantly less than a regular room at the Pan Pacific and the Rosewood so I booked 3 nights ($625CAD/night). I got off the Silver Moon at 9:45am, handed my luggage off to a representative from Luggage Forward, and walked from the cruise terminal up to the hotel. My room wasn't ready, so I dropped off my carry-on and backpack and went shopping and to have lunch. I was still on my way to CF Pacific Centre when the front desk called, informing me my room was ready. I told them I'd return after lunch. Wow, I loved my room (707)! As you entered through a short hallway, you found yourself looking at a full kitchen to your right, bathroom to your left and then the bedroom, past a closet housing a stack washer/dryer. The living room was bright and airy because there were walls of glass. Past the kitchen was a den with a desk and sofa. Off the living room was a small lanai overlooking the pool. The kitchen featured a gas range, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. It was like a timeshare unit, not a hotel room, as there was tableware, glassware, etc. The only nitpick was the bathroom; it didn't quite measure up to the rest of the unit. It was small, with a full-sized glass-enclosed tub, a Toto (but without the washlet) toilet, and a small vanity and shelf unit opposite the vanity. It was totally functional, but I wished the tub had a shower wand, not just the rain head. If I could, I'd want this room moved to Hawaii to become my residence. The front desk staff were personable and friendly. The exercise facilities were fine. The L'Orangerie restaurant is located on the 5th floor ... more on that in a separate review. All told, I found the L'Hermitage to be perfect for me and will now be my hotel of choice when in Vancouver.

My favorite amenities--clothing steamer and hot water kettle--were promptly delivered. What's better than tea and wrinkle-free clothes? The room was quiet and afforded me uninterrupted sleep. The lighting at the desk caused my colleagues to compliment my visage on video conference calls. The location was an easy walk to everywhere I needed to go in Vancouver. L'Orangerie, the dining room and lounge on the fifth floor, was a lovely place to take tea and lunch. My dining companion and I had the place nearly to ourselves. On my next visit to Vancouver, I hope I'll be lucky enough to stay at L'Hermitage again.

Date of visit: July 15-16, 2025…read more Consider this hotel if you're leaving out of Vancouver for a cruise; it was wonderful and a short walk to the terminal with our bags. You could also take a car but unless the weather is bad or you have mobility issues, it is just as easy to walk over to the terminal. We were in before to check in and because of the cruise, rooms were not ready early. But they took our bags and gave us warm, delicious cookies! When we returned later to check in, we received more cookies. (Insert Cookie Monster meme here.) All of the staff we encountered was very friendly, even the security guard on Hastings Street, though he didn't tell us that if we would just walk around the corner to Seymour there is an entrance without stairs that is better for luggage... We didn't bother with the restaurant after seeing the prices, but we can say that the rooms are lovely. Our suite was perfect for three people, with a nice living room area and a separate bedroom though the closet was very small for a room that could potentially accommodate four people. With the exception of a very worn out, past its prime chair, everything in the room from the furniture to the bathroom was in great condition, too.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Their treatment was so poor that I immediately asked for a refund and requested to check out. Instead of addressing my concerns, they ignored me, gave me the runaround, and eventually went into their office and closed the door. As a Hilton Diamond member who has stayed at countless Hilton properties, I have never experienced this level of indifference toward a guest or such a lack of basic customer service. This property is an embarrassment to the Hilton and Hampton Inn brands. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else.
