Let me start by saying that I am a massage whore!! I will let almost anyone put their hands on me, lol. I have gotten massages all over the world and every type, including a Blind massage. Or so I thought. While walking around Amsterdam I came upon this place and was like WHAAAA???? I had never heard a a Tibetian massage!!! I had to have one!! I came back the next day (as the previous day was too late) and asked for the 1 hour back massage. OMG!!! This guy got out all my kinks in my neck and shoulders. It felt like heaven!! There is only one other person who has given me that type of relief in one session and he's in thailand and it hurt. Anyways, I felt so great that I came back every day until it was time to leave. Normally I am so greedy with good massage therapist that i dont give out their names for fear that they will get to popular and it will be hard for me to make an appointment with them. However because he's in another country I will give his name (kinda). I forgot his name, but it starts with a D. Good thing is that he is the only guy there, so just ask for the guy. So before I forget.. The massage is a mixture of Balinese and Chinese. He is very strong and doesnt use his elbows to dig into your back, however he does use his forearms and fingers, which is a great technique. BTW, before this, a Balinese massage was my all-time favorite. I always gave him a 10 euro tip even though im not sure if you are supposed to tip. I will definitely be coming back here!!

Day 6 of walking the cobblestones of Europe. Stopped in this place for a 30-minute foot massage. You will not regret it! 25 euros well spent! It may not be your fancy Red Door-type, spa-like atmosphere but if you prefer quality reflexology over paying for the atmosphere, then this the place. I had a guy massage my feet and he had thumbs of steel, which is what I needed!

Enjoying a great foot massage after many days of traveling.

Great pricing and the masseuse were great. The interior wasn't anything lavish but it was a very relaxing environment.

"THERE'S A FINE LINE BETWEEN PLEASURE AND PAIN, AND THE LADIES AT CHINA BEAUTY MASSAGE KNOW EXACTLY…read moreWHERE IT LIES." We walked in broken. We walked out resurrected. Sometimes, we rely on old favourites. Sometimes, we take a chance on something new. That day in Amsterdam was one of meetings, fatigue, and the kind of bone-chilling Dutch weather that seeps into your soul. Cold, wet, grey, and utterly miserable, we were on the verge of collapse. Worse still, something was brewing in the chest--a creeping exhaustion threatening to take hold. Then, purely by chance, we found ourselves at the door of China Beauty Massage. "Found" is generous--(barely) crawled would be more accurate. That was the state we were in. We had one more meeting to get through, but survival took priority. The therapist nodded knowingly at our request, responding with a simple: "Ahh haa, ahh haa. Not a problem, not a problem. Ahh haa, ahh haa." An elderly woman stood up, gestured twice with her hands--an odd jerking motion. We were too tired to decipher it. Without hesitation, she stepped forward, relieved us of our coats, and hung them up with the efficiency of someone who had done this a thousand times before. We sat. Moments later, warm towels appeared on our laps, cups of loose-leaf Chinese green tea were placed before us, and shoes were gently removed. Then, the magic began. Every. Single. Thing. On. Our. Feet. Hurt. The tips of our toes, the ankles, the Achilles, the balls, the sides, the arches--the whole damn map of our suffering was etched into the soles of our feet. And if you know anything about Chinese foot massage, you know that each part of the body corresponds to a pressure point in the foot. The pain was a message: our bodies were out of balance, and we were paying the price. And then, something extraordinary happened. People, I swear to you, I now understand what Jesus Christ must have felt like up there on the cross. That was the kind of day we had. But within minutes--minutes--under the skilled hands of those therapists, it was nothing short of a resurrection. Right there, in the middle of Amsterdam. Now, let's address the naysayers. I've seen some of the vicious, clueless comments left by reviewers. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, sure, but let's be clear: this is a Chinese therapeutic body massage clinic. Whether you're in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, or Taipei, whether you're in Chinatown in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or London, the format is always the same: big, comfy chairs, functional hot water pails, and interior decor that ranges from basic to non-existent. In larger Chinese cities, the chairs sometimes recline into full loungers, but the experience? Almost identical. If you want frou-frou--the sound of whales cooing to each other, people playing the flute under the dulcet light of the moon, and a dizzying menu of exotic, wallet-draining treatments--the spa at the Conservatorium Hotel, the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, and the Grand Sofitel Amsterdam await. (And let me say, all are very fine establishments--we frequent them.) What sets China Beauty Massage apart? Service. If you know traditional Chinese medical Tui Na body massage and foot massage, you know that China Beauty Massage is the real deal. Almost every therapist here is damn good at what they do. Some lack endurance. Personally, we prefer a firm massage--starts strong, stays strong, ends strong. Punters should also know that these places operate on a first-come, first-served basis. If you walk in, you get whoever's next. If you have special requests--whether you want an iron grip or the lightest touch--say so at the start. And if communication is an issue? No excuses. You have a smartphone. Use Google Translate. And let's be absolutely clear: this is not some flimsy, frou-frou, feel-good 'move oil around your feet' mess called Western foot reflexology, with its soft, directionless strokes and feather-light oil treatments. If that's your thing, fine--enjoy. But if you've got an ailment, lingering fatigue, or some mysterious ache that won't go away, do yourself a favour: China Beauty Massage is the place. We've introduced this clinic to friends from Leipzig, Santa Barbara, Bermuda, the Azores, Duluth, Minnesota--and every single one of them raved about the experience. TWO THUMBS UP. ACROSS THE BOARD. (And no, I do not own shares or have any other financial interest in this enterprise!)

The WORST!! The massage was very weak - the pressure and technique were poor and the woman giving…read morethe massage was very distracted. It wasn't so much a massage as it was 25 minutes (yes, 25 minutes even though I paid for 30) of this woman touching my leg while looking out the window - very weird. The owner was also quite rude - the business only takes cash (no sign posted nor heads up given to this end). Going to get cash was easily remedied, but I suggested that they let customers know in advance that they were cash only and the owner started being belligerent - totally uncalled for. Super duper lame. Money and a good mood totally wasted.

Day and Night Massage - Annemiek is echt een topmasseuze. Kom al een jaar bij haar. Aanrader is de sportmassage!

Just an Oil smearing experience and a €60 nap!…read more This review is dedicated to Milena. There are so many negative points that I can't tell enough about this experience: 1) shorten time: I arrived 15 minutes early, and got started 7 minutes later, just becuz the massageur was preparing herself: going to the toilet, drinking water etc! The digital clock in the room is also wrong (it runs faster than the actual time, I checked with my iPhone) so she finished 7 minutes earlier. It supposed to be 60 minutes for €59, so basically I just got 75% of my service. 2) she was not focused & it was disturbing. Her phone was on silence mode, but it would keep vibrating. The door is poorly sound isolated, so you could hear all the noise from the hair salon. 3) regular short breaks. She kept drinking water while doing me massage. I have regular massage and I know how it should be done properly. Besides, IMO she didn't apply so much pressure to be so tired that she need water! 4) she wouldn't ask if the pressure was OK: I already pointed her from beginning that I like strong massage, but basically it was just smearing oil, which I could also do myself! The location is beautiful though, but I would say it is more a hair salon place than a massage. Get it somewhere else please, or if you are too desperate like I was (as my regular place got fully booked) avoid this place at all cost, or else just go to have a fine dining experience and a nice walk. It would be a much better choice!
