(I asked her during the massage, she said 2 years - quite new for an LMT) I also should have gone running when I mentioned I had plantar fasciitis (a very common condition) and she thought that was "an infection". She was very nice but unfortunately the massage was a complete waste of the small amount of time and money I had. Her hands were shaking by the end of the 45 minutes with only moderate pressure. She joked that "probably no pressure was too deep for me", but that's definitely not true. She just wasn't able to do it. She told me she only does relaxation massages. Really, this is the manager's fault for giving me a relaxation therapist instead of being honest and saying they didn't have any deep tissue therapists available. My massage felt like the lady was just rubbing a crazy amount of oil all over my body. There was no substance to it. About half way through after turning over, our masseuse asked us if we wanted a foot massage. We were confused because we paid for the full body which should have included it. We said yes, so they asked for an extra 35 euros. At this point, I was starting to get frustrated and said, "No extra, just the full hour." From that point, they only massaged us for another 15 minutes. I know they were rushing us because I had heard another customer come in and wait for a masseuse for the past 10 minutes. Whatever. Once we moved to Amsteram we started to look for a nice place where we could get a massage on regular basis. After nine months of trials and errors we found Sala Thai Wellness which is a place where we already visit for last half a year. Massages are good and you dont have impression that a person just does it for the first time in a life. Nevetheless, it is important to note that ladies who do a massage are changing ( working in shifts?) and not of them are equally good. What makes me feel really greatful to Sal Thai Wellness is that a pain in my lower back completly disappeared (and i was already struggling with it for some years).
