A must-stop in Sheridan, WY! We stopped here while traveling through in our RV, and it was hands-down one of the best meals of our trip. Every dish came out fast, hot, and full of flavor. Highlights for us were the Okra, Yellow Daal, Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken, Saag Paneer, Goat Curry. The saag here is done right. You can actually see and taste the vibrant spinach. My kids loved the Butter Chicken and rice so much we had to order more! Service was fantastic. Our server handled the whole dining room effortlessly and was amazing with the kids (the crazy straws in their cups were a huge hit!). We were too full to try the momos or different types of naan, but the leftovers make great food for the road. These owners came over from Las Vegas market. Their food is top-nottch. Fresh, tasty and fast swrvice. The place is not much to look at front the outside, but inside is very clean. Spotless bathrooms. The food is right there with the best Indian cuisine I have had ANYWHERE! I would say this is the best prepared food in Sheridan, hands down. Try it. An incredible gem on our roadtrip out to Yellowstone. We didn't expect an Indian place in Sheridan WY but it was the perfect rest stop lunch for us! The goat curry and paneer korma were delicious, and we loved the samosas as appetizers. The duo that run the restaurant were friendly and attentive, too. I am a truck driver from MS and was loaded headed to KS when I stopped to rest for New Years. Not having a good way to get any special treat for my evening I was grateful to find Himalayan Kitchen on yelp and more so that they offered delivery via Door Dash. Normally I try to include pictures but honestly was tired and forgot. So let's say the website was easy to navigate, all was described and delivered as described which is always desirable. BUT HOW DID IT TASTE!?! It was fantastic! I ordered my goto Veggie Biryani and Chana Masala. I opted for spicy. The Chana Masala came with a nice side of rice. Portion size was generous. Spice profile rich with flavor and very fragrant. Chana was good but the STAR goes to the Biryani. It was one of the top ones I have had in my travels. A real 5 star treat. While I do eat meat I have really been eating more vegetables and veggie based meals lately but if I were to base my dish as a foundation I bet the meat versions would be flavorful and delicious. So I highly recommend giving this place a look. I wish I could have found a way to eat there but with takeout like this I was very pleased and maybe I will make it that way again. read more

Absolutely thrilled to have this incredible food available in our little town! Yay!! We started our meal with a samosa chat appetizer that was perfectly seasoned, creamy, crunchy, and just the right level of heat. We each ordered entrees to share, Lamb Vindaloo, tender, flavorful... delicious! Saag Paneer was creamy and spicy...with spinach and cubed paneer. A wonderful dish that is healthy and a little bit naughty as well! We enjoyed each entree with perfectly cooked basmati rice and amazing garlic/basil naan. Service was exceptional! Stellar Indian cuisine here at Himalayan Kitchen. I've been to quite a few Indian restaurants throughout the West and this was easily the most flavorful and well-balanced. I always crave my Indian food to be outrageously spicy and volcanic and this joint gave me just that when I asked for it, very appreciated! What a delightful find in Sheridan. The restaurant is not in the downtown area but worth the few minute drive. My husband and I shared an appetizer and Tandoori chicken dinner. Both were flavorful, nicely prepared and the dinner was definitely enough for two people. Nice servings. The owners, staff were great. Absolutely delicious food! We had the chana masala, butter chicken, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. Everything was seasoned and flavored just right, and the mango lassi was the perfect balance of sweet and sour. The food is great, minus a star for high prices. My lunch was $30 w tip. You need to do a lunch buffet for $15-20. The service is good but it takes more time than most people have during lunch, unless you're a realtor, banker, or a member of the non-working yoga pant nation.
