He and his partner took their time to explain their assessment of the problem (original pour of concrete was not dense enough to resist effluorescence in addition to possibly contaminants being excreted by the concrete as well). Talked through several options for repair/reconstruction with a range of costs, and also got a realistic assessment of likelihood of success. Very professional, no sales pitch. After talking with a number of other contractors about the same issue, I was thinking that an epoxy stone overlay may be the most cost effective approach to solving my problem. As I was so impressed with Art, I called him to get his opinion. Even though that particular option wasn't one he could currently offer, he spent the time to talk it over with me, explained the process and some pros/cons, and in the end gave me his overall impression that it probably would be a good choice.
