He was very knowledgeable and gave a very thorough explanation of the estimate for several outdoor projects. All the contractors at Green Guru (electricians, cement, plumbing etc) have contractor licenses which guarantees a job is done correctly because there is legal protection. We are still in the process of getting bids but based on our initial contact with Green Guru, they seem like a responsible and well managed company to work with for any outdoor projects you may want to consider doing. read more

We couldn't have asked for a better company. I got on Yelp to get estimates for my backyard to be done. I had 5 companies reach out to me and 3 came out to my house to give me an estimate. Nick (Green Guru) stood out amongst them as the most trustworthy and knowledgeable landscaping company. We got a quote for concrete to be put down, a gate to be installed and a wall put up. Green Guru did such a great job with the above stated that when they were done we asked for another quote to complete the backyard. We wanted a fire pit, turf and a putting green installed. They did such an amazing job! Billy was our main contact once the job got started and he was very responsive and had amazing communication with us. We have been through many landscapers over the past 14 years. Most landscapers are unreliable, deceitful, or incompetent. Our last landscaper took our money to fix empty patches of grass and never finished the job. Green Guru took over and Billy had a plan right from the start. He assures me that the grass will be grown by spring and so far, the patches are growing new grass. Billy and his team have been reliable and professional throughout. Billy takes the time to explain everything. Billy did more in 2 months than our former landscaper did in 10 months. After speaking with Billy, it is obvious our former landscaper was overcharging for many projects. Green Guru is an actual business and you get what you pay for. Green Guru is a bit more expensive than small time landscapers, however, the reliability and professionalism more than make up for the extra cost every month. They built me a beautiful patio with nice stone pavers and a really nice outdoor kitchen that I absolutely love! I have been reading all the reviews and have such a hard time with people who leave bad reviews on a company they had limited experience with. I am a new resident in Henderson looking for some work. I don't know anyone so I am relying on Yelp for feedback. Typically, I look for 4 or 5 star companies but I'm noticing that the ratings can be negatively affected by stupid negative reviews.   I am currently getting quotes from several companies and Green Guru is by far the most responsive, informative and accommodating.   As a single mother, who knows ZERO about landscaping, I really need a company that I can trust and won't take advantage of my lack of knowledge. I met with Nick and he was so informative and understanding of my limited budget.    How can I explain....... I was left feeling that Nick really cared about me having my project done and was willing to offer affordable alternatives that would get me closer to the final aesthetic I am hoping for.     I know they are in business to make money but not once did I feel like the almighty dollar was his priority. Update: I had my front yard beautifully enclosed, 28 linear feet of 6 foot wall with footer, for only $3,500 including permits and a 25' of old garden wall demolishing and removal. Through RAM concrete, google them. They are way better priced and very polite, ask for Laura. This Green "Guru Landscaping" wanted to charge me thousands more for the exact same work, and that is not counting the faux stone wall cover and caps which they quoted me totaling $18,000. Read the owner's highly unprofessional response to my old review below. My review still stays 1 star based on their disingenuous bid and the owner's highly combative and condescending response. Sorry if this is a little long but, if you're serious about hiring a landscaper please read it. We bought a new house that was a fixer going in and desperately needed landscaping. After getting several bids I chose to hire Green Guru. They weren't the cheapest but I believe most of the time you get what you pay for and they were still a good, competitive price. Mainly I felt very comfortable with Billy who bid the job and would oversee the entire project. The project was transforming a backyard that consisted of a pool, some unused raised beds and dirt into our oasis. We came up with a general idea of what we wanted and could refine it as went went forward. Lucky for me I was introduced to Jeremy on the first day and was told he would be on my job throughout and if I had any question I could ask him. I explained to Jeremy what we wanted- a seating area above the pool, some plants spread out, a new irrigation system and most importantly two areas for our Desert Tortoises. Each area needed a burrow and some area for them to rest and walk for exercise. I told him what I was thinking and welcomed his recommendations. After a couple days Jeremy said he had been thinking about the tortoise areas and had some suggestions. They were great and we finalized our plans. The project is now complete and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the results. Yes, there were a few hiccups along the way and all I did was call Billy and he resolved them immediately. If you are truly interested in having landscaping done I believe you really need to consider Green Guru. They were fast, clean, flexible, and truly wanted to make us happy. Their consideration of our privacy while invading our backyard was a high priority and greatly appreciated. We will definitely be hiring them again when we redo our front yard. read more

This place is a complete let down. Two weeks ago they came to do my yard. I happened to be home this Friday and watched the two men not pick one weed out of my yard. The half assed blew the leaves around and stood around just yapping with each other. Next thing I now they left. I called Green Guru immediately complaining and they sent the guys back. However, they didn't get all the weeds. They never trimmed a bush. Didn't shape a tree. Nothing! Billy later called that evening to apologize and assured me that someone would be sent back to my property the following week at no charge (like I'd pay because it's their fault anyway ), however no one came. Two weeks now and not a peep from them. I have today cancelled my service and I refuse to pay for this past bill as they didn't bother to complete the job. You cannot get a hold of anyone in the office. Only the answering service they hire and no one is ever available when you call. Everyone has to be called back. It's really a shame. This place did fantastic on the first time hit their business slide. Billy even stated he only gave his people about an hour per house. Sorry but that doesn't always seem to be enough time. And if your guys are behind that's not my fault to have crap service so they can make up time. Be aware of this company. Terrible customer service. So disappointing. read more

The first consultation with Billy was great, he seemed interested, willing and gave many different options of what my small backyard needed. We felt confident that we finally found a good company. Once the half payment was given the happy atmosphere that was first presented by Billy was gone and forgotten. The whole process felt rushed and there was no communication of when that the backyard was supposed to be done or at least an estimation of it. My plants ended up dying because the irrigation system was set up wrong and it took over a month for them to replace the dead plants. After my previous review, the company addressed all my concerns and fixed all of the problems. They removed all the grass, re leveled and reinstalled, eliminating the seam down the middle. I was being led around by a previous company for months so I finally decided to call other companies and I am so glad I did. I only made one call and once I met with Nick I cancelled all my other appts for quotes. I gave him my budget and he created everything beautifully and offered options that worked best with my limitations. Not only was he amazing but the foremen, Billy and Josh were incredibly courteous as well, they even knew how to pronounce my last name (no one ever pronounces it right)! I ended up not using this company service. Prompt in replying my call and coming out to evaluate the project. Nick S was the person who came out. He was professional and knowledgeable. He pointed out several things that other contractors missed. He paid attention to details and explained the entire process that his team would carry out. Others gave lower bids, but they skipped several steps that would account for the discount. Nevertheless, his bid was still high and he acknowledges that. I can see that his price is reasonable because it was based on his work and his experience, and not just his work alone. I certainly appreciate that. He would definitely give me a peace of mind that the project would be well done and to code. I did not use his service because I could not afford it. I had met with a number of different companies, receiving outrageous quote offers and after meeting with him I knew Green Guru was the company I was going to do business with. He completed all of his promises and answered all the questions I had in a timely manner. Last weekend, really proved that they are a solid company and will do anything to please their customers. Not many places will prepare the paperwork for you like Green Guru but instead they say they will "help" you fill it out. Green Guru did a fantastic job on my backyard and suggested ideas without a pressure. And I am glad I took their advice. These guys are here to help customers. Even if you don't go with them, they will still give you tips on what to do and what not to do. They finished our backyard in time and everyone was so professional and helpful. We did have a hiccup with my HOA, but they helped me every step of the way. They also care about my satisfaction. Some companies will turn their back on customers as soon as they receive a payment. Green Guru trimmed my bushes, cleaned up weeds and did general clean up of my yard. They did a really good job. Very polite.

My old irrigation system was leaking so Guru fixed it for $600.00. I later called for an estimate for additional work, but never received one. Another company got the money for that. Not more than a year goes by and my $600.00 replaced part leaks. I paid someone else $300.00 to fix it and it's been over a year and it seems okay so far. This company is slow to respond, but sends you endless marketing emails. I guess you have to advertise that much when you can't keep loyal customers. Sometimes I don't make the best financial decisions, but hiring Green Guru Landscaping was AWESOME SAUCE. When Nick came out to my house, he listened to what I wanted to do, showed me a bunch of photos, also gave me some great ideas he had. Then he went on to explain what would happen day 1, then the next few days, then the end of the 2 week project. When he went into detail.....I interrupted him and shook hands and said YOU'RE HIRED. His crew is the BOMB. Billy (the Foreman) is TOP SHELF. They both gave me their cell phone numbers so I didn't have to call the office, then wait to hear back from them. Plus, they called me by MY NAME.....sounds trivial I know, but it sure was a good feeling. My Stamped Concrete patio, my broom finish path, and my Pony wall are fantastic. The last thing they did was add chemicals to my pool, balance the PH, and then vacuumed my pool. Approximately two years ago hired Green Guru to put in pavers, artificial lawn and new sprinkler system in the backyard. The old sprinkler system was 13 to 14 years old, so it made sense to renew it. A few weeks ago, woke up to a flood in the backyard and front side yard. The new sprinkler system Green Guru installed went haywire and needed a new manifold. Why would that not last longer than two years? The front yard system is now 16 years old, without problems. Also, as someone else mentioned, our job was to take 2 to 3 weeks, and ended up twice as long. They continued to put in cracked and broken pavers. Before the patio was complete informed the foreman, but they continued without replacing any, did the acid wash, and then had to come back and redo many pavers. The artificial lawn was defective, but they installed it anyway. When I told the foreman it was unacceptable, he said that they will order pieces and piece it together. NO, I was not going for that! It was one piece or nothing. They were mad at me for having to waste all that time and labor to remove the defective lawn and replace with new one, but they should not have installed it to begin with. No, we will not be calling them again. read more
