I most certainly WAS being watched!! Security came up to me and asked me if I knew why they were there... uh yeah because I almost peed myself and walked over a rope, but went back over it immediately after realizing, I was in the table pits. The lady says well, you need to leave immediately and not come back for 24 hours. Wow, ok!! No warning nothing... I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars there between the losing slots and meals at the restaurant and this is how you treat a customer. I keep giving that place a chance, but I'm done now. Slots are extremely TIGHT... and the place was empty, so that's telling. I'm surprised they're still open to be honest... I'm not returning.

What made this worse is that the outdoor area wasn't well maintained: there was trash and cigarette butts on the ground, and the cigarette disposal was overflowing. It was disappointing to be told we couldn't make ourselves comfortable in an area that clearly wasn't being cared for by the staff. Overall, not the kind of hospitality or upkeep you'd expect at a hotel.

What about the rest of the hotel? The room was clean, comfortable, and lived up to HIE standards. The staff were friendly and helpful, minus the one bad recommendation for dinner. When I arrived, I realized the hotel was next to a waterpark that made parking kind of insane. By the time I got back from dinner the park was closed and the parking area was empty. But be forewarned if you arrive when it is open. If you find yourself in Dodge City, this is where you should stay.

When I asked why she (front desk lady) was talking so rude to everyone, she first snapped at me that she doesn't think she is being rude, then got nasty with another woman standing near by asking someone about the room situation, then she gave me a card and said I could take it up with her supervisor, but when I'd call the number on the card it would ring a few times and then someone would pick up and immediately hang up- so sort of makes since why the employees think it's acceptable to treat guests this way. I witnessed the lady at the front desk bite the heads off two different elderly women just for asking questions, and when no one could check in at check in time (and even well after) she said check in time doesn't apply when the hotel is full and told me if I didn't like it i could take the money I paid for my reservation and leave. If there were any other options open in town during this time we would have left and stayed somewhere else, but everything was booked and we had two hours to get to a local wedding. We finally figured out the room situation between guests swapping rooms since the staff was no help. I noticed the front desk phone was off the hook the entire stay also. Then they had the audacity to leave a card in the room asking us to tip the staff lmao
