Oh, and one more thing -there is an eye catching statue of a winged child wearing aviator goggles poised to jump and take off into the Wild Blue Yonder. The statue is named "Taking Flight" and it was sculpted by Dennis Smith. He was born in Utah in 1942. He is best known for his sculptures of families, mothers, and children - so "Taking Flight" is a prime example of his genre. I read that his work is located in hundreds of public and private collections, in museums and in public parks (like this one) across the US and around the world.

I came to this shop looking for "Beach Town Posters" which I collect ... this is the main retail…read moreoutlet for them. I soon fell in love with this little gift shop and art gallery. It is packed with fabulous unique items related to the beach, music, travel, and other life's pleasures. There are gifts and prints that fit every price point and most of them are one-of-a-kind. I visited this area numerous times during the summer and, besides adding to my Beach Town Posters collection, never failed to find thoughtful host gifts or souvenirs here. The store ambience is welcoming and fun, always with great music playing. The staff is really helpful and lovely.
