I went to Trimper's Haunted House the first week of June 2025 and it was such a cute little attraction! I remember having to spend about $7 (I think per rider). Not surprised by the price--tourist attractions in OCMD are bound to be pricy. That said, I think it was fun and surprisingly intense! I'm a bigger girl, so I will say the carts can be uncomfortable especially since they will try to shove your whole party in the car if it's a small party. A scare actor had to help my friends and I clear a hill because we were sandwiched in and weighing the car down. Whoever was playing Pennywise that week--you're the best, dude. Additionally, there is an adjacent horror-themed store called 'Ghoulish Things' that I also highly recommend! read more

Trimper's Haunted House hasn't changed too much since I started going almost 40 years ago (yikes). And to me, that's a good thing. It's a little rickety, and it smells a little funny. Nothing in there is scary, per se--the scares come from things and people jumping out at you, optical illusions and the like. But I love it because it has mostly stayed the same over the decades--the same music, the same coffin cars, the same tinny music, the same door covered in gum on the top floor (I hate when they clean it). The one addition I like (which isn't new anymore) is the merch they sell--I've got a fridge magnet, a keychain and a drawing of the building. The Ocean City Boardwalk is one of my favorite places on earth and the Haunted House is my favorite thing about it. May it live forever. read more

Can't remember the last time I did a haunted house if any kind because I scare so easily. I love the rustic feeling of this haunted house because it's been around so long. The coffin ride is a winner ! What I did not expect was Michael Myers... initially I thought he was an animatronic until I realized it was a person .. boy did I scream ! This attraction is truly a thriller! I've been coming to Ocean City, MD my whole life but never experienced this classic boardwalk attraction until my tween daughters wanted to go on. It's all fun and games riding in the little cart checking out the campy horror decor until the real-life actors appear. Positioned throughout the ride, you never know when a Chucky, evil nun, Pennywise, or the man himself, Michael Myers will appear to scare the bejeezus out of you! It never ceases to freak me out! If you prefer, stay on the boardwalk and watch the unsuspecting carts go past on the upper level with Michael Myers jump scares waiting! read more

Wonderful experience riding the haunted house! Two passengers were allowed in the car. Once we paid and got tickets we were able to get on without much of a wait. The ride was longer than I expected which was a nice surprise. There were also live actors which made the experience better. I would definitely recommend this experience ! read more

It's only $8 per person, so it's actually a pretty good price. My friend and I thought we'd give this place a shot while we were strolling along the boardwalk. I think it's mainly designed for kids, but it's still pretty cool for adults as well. read more

This place is amazing. The perfect beach town haunted house ride. The classic wooden carts take you inside to find a dark and creepy house filled with lots of the classic haunted house scares! For $8 you cannot pass this up! One of my favorite things to do when visiting! read more

I've been coming down to Ocean City since the early 90's and when I think of this town two things come to mind... the boardwalk and this haunted house. No matter how many times you go through it, the cheesy and fun atmosphere is always a great time. I love that they never really update it but it is pretty cool that they've added real people to walk around inside to scare you. Such an amazing and nostalgic experience. read more

Old school dark ride totally worth the admission price. The entire place is adorned with fun scary wood sculptures and art. The cars that take you through the ride are rustic and wooden. The ride is on a track and moves slowly through several rooms and two levels. Rooms are a combination of op-art zaniness, classic monsters and modern horror tropes- Saw, etc. It's not really scary at all but it's fun and unique. read more

Highly recommend. It was a spontaneous decision walking along boardwalk. Since Halloween is around corner, I had to commemorate the holiday. It was STUPID FUN! I'm 38 years old and I was humored, and it takes a lot for me to have fun these days. this place is old school scares , not SO terrifying that you crap your pants but scary enough that I closed my eyes several times !!! it's also a cool ride like actually going up to a 2nd floor and they kind of make it feel like it's going to go off the tracks which is also very scary !!!! don't want to ruin it for you if you haven't gone yet and reveal all the terror but it's so worth it for the $8 bucks !! read more

Even better than expected. Much thought and effort was put into this haunted ride through mini adventure, from the spacious coffin seating to the props inside. Best of all, it wasn't super quick. You actually felt like it was worth the $8 per person that we paid. read more

My mother and I are still crying laughing from last weekend. I've been going on this ride since I was a kid, and am not a fan of things scary. I thought to myself, it's fine, because this one never has real people in it. Low and behold, an employee jumped out around the last turn. I, being in my mid twenties, screamed so loud. My three and six year old cousins did not and my mom bust out laughing. THEN he ran down the hallway behind us and scared me again. Give that guy a raise, because my mom and I will be laughing about this for years to come. read more

My husband and I are currently in Ocean City and we spontaneously decided to do the ride. The carts are pretty big and comfortable for 2 people and the experience was awesome! I wasn't expecting real people which scared me more. It was longer than I expected a boardwalk ride to be. It was definitely worth more than the $6 they ask for. Highly recommend for adults. I don't think it's suitable for kids that are like 8yr olds or younger. read more

Very spooky and scary. I got scared once by a guy in a spooky mask. Very fun and worth at least one ride.

This is def not a ride for all ages. There should be a sign warning that it has very graphic scenes that could be very disturbing to children. I was expecting a kitchy haunted ride akin to what Disney has. This is not it. My 8 year old came off crying bc she was so scared. My husband says he rode it as a kid and it was a very funny "haunted" ride. Not anymore. Fun for some adults maybe, this is not for kids. Imagery of ppl being cut in half, electrocuted and hanged from a noose calling for someone to help him, all things that would warrant a PG13 rating at least in a film. There should be at least a warning on the ride. I spent 20$ for my kids to have nightmares basically. read more

This ride is a great ride for dates; it scared my date right into my arms. But, I rode it with a man once...that was an uncomfortable ride back to our hotel. 20/10 recommendation if your riding with someone your more than friends with. read more

Ive been hitting this ride since the mid 80s. My husband and I were so excited it was open while we were in OC during the "off season" that we practically ran the 10 blocks to it. It had all the great memories- the wooden coffin cars, the banging on the doors to take you to the next scene - as well as new areas and features! SO GREAT! read more

I've ridden this thing since I was a fetus and will continue to when I'm back in diapers and all my teeth are gone. The guys running this thing are either true zombies or really hung over. Personally I'd love working here. The car slamming into the plywood doors is a little annoying but otherwise I love it. read more
