I had a wonderful experience at this venue for a classic rock show. They have a large open floor and a 2nd floor for people to buy tables to sit down to enjoy the show. There are bars surrounding the perimeter to keep lines short and quick. They offered a small variety of food options from what I saw including pizza. I didn't try any of the food or order a drink but I watched people come and go quickly.

This is honestly my favourite venue. Bars are fully serviced so no long lines, washrooms are nice and CLEAN, staff are friendly but firm. Food is ... OK, don't buy the water like I did! Tap is free. Usually I hate paying for GA - I like having reserved seating/areas to guarantee my view for a show, but here, you really can't go wrong (unless you're like me suffering from short height faced with tall people right in front. Sad.) There's I think 3 levels of GA: a pit, an area by the bar and washrooms, and 2nd floor. There's also some reserved seating in scattered sections, but unless you really NEED a seat, GA is your bestie. Also, the reserved seating tends to be in the very back because of how the venue is designed. The worst part for me is location. It's right by woodbine beach park. It feels so hard to get to since I'm from the opposite end of the city. Technically, there's a bus route you can take to/from Coxwell station, but I came here once during rush hour and the streets only have 2 lanes and 1 of those lanes is shared with the streetcar...so...hope there can be new ones built literally anywhere else!

This was my first visit to this venue, and it is beautiful! Very convenient layout, and not a bad view in the the house! Bars surround the area raised from the GA area, and plentiful staff made the alcohol acquisition quick and simple. I was NOT expecting $70+ dollars for 4 top shelf gin and tonics ($90+ with tip.), but I digress... This place has A LOT of security/ushers, and we felt very safe in the 3,800 person crowd. Sound was fantastic. It is obvious that a lot of thought went into planning Drake's venue.

Really liked this concert venue. It's the perfect size and had a lot of bathrooms and bartenders.

Line ups to get in can be long as they make you go through metal detectors and show ID, but once in the place is clean.

You can use stairs or an elevator. The entire place is extremely modern. They have touch panels for temperature control and AV control. Their website is easy to navigate, and you can register for classes there. On Mon to Sat, they have programs for babies, toddlers, kids, adults, and seniors. For kids, there are classes in science, cooking, art, and music. For adults & seniors, there are classes in art, cooking, fitness, and music. Some of the classes have been adapted for special needs kids and their caregivers. The community centre opens the space for Autism Ontario on a Sun, provides the cookies, coffee, tea, and a receptionist, all for free! My son was here to play chess against other children. Luckily, he found someone who was almost equal to his skill level, so he definitely enjoyed his two hours there. During the summer, they also hold summer camps. There is free WiFi. The place is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms, and they are wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2023-262

The Toronto Hunt Club is really one of those places that is so well hidden, that you need to know what you are looking for, in order to locate it. As a place that is hosting special events, the seating count is small to mid-lowish head count, I would probably recommend no more than 120 to 130 people in attendance. They seem to only book 1 wedding a night, so you would be sharing the space with club members. But overall the members are in their own area and your paths won't really cross much, unless you're out on the grounds taking photos, etc. The view is amazing and there is a wonderful feel to the place that makes you forget you are in Toronto; with the expansive view of the Lake and the Bluffs in the distance (it does get a bit foggy/misty in the morning - but if your ceremony is in the afternoon - it clears up so you get a gorgeous view) They have a large private space for the Bride to get ready in and they keep you plenty refreshed with refreshments and food for the big day. The staff, in general, are super pleasant and very welcoming. From what I saw, they were quite easy to work with as well. The food is quite excellent, as well. One small minor detail is that dance floor is outside, so just be aware that bugs ( namely Mosquitos) can become an issue. Also, the sound equipment could be upgraded a tad, since we had a hard time hearing people talk and the speeches.

Now since i did not come here to golf, i'm only reviewing this place from the perspective of a wedding venue. I was blown away. I've been to many different venues around Ontario, and nothing comes close to comparing to this place. With lush green spaces on the edge of the lake, this place is breathtaking. It's strength is in the amples of outdoor spaces. They even have a champagne somelier on staff for sabrage which is an excellent touch to mark your celebration. The food is exceptionally good and prepared to perfection. This is rare at any wedding venue when cooking for large groups. I think the reason for this is because they cap capacity. The place only holds about 100 ppl for dinner. Also, they have an excellent chef on staff. The bridge and groom showed and discussed their dinner options with me whilst planning the wedding. They boiled it down to three options, but it was a tough decision because everything that The Hunt could prepare was impressive. It really took banquet food to an elevated experience with simple refined touches. And i have to say that the prices were fair and not outrageous at all. Since the wedding was a mixed British/Indian wedding, the Hunt Club went out of their way to prepare dishes tailored to the bride and groom that were not typical to the preparation the Hunt is used to. The anglican and indian ceremonies were separated by a high tea course (all excellently and traditionally prepared), followed by indian inspired canope's. They were authentic to my surprise. They even prepared a special recipe tea that the groom is famous for, and they got it almost bang on. I'm so impressed. If you are having a smaller wedding and looking for that special venue, this is the place. Beg borrow steal to get yourself connected with a member here. My only complaint is that the serving staff are a little young, so don't have the finely refined serving skills that would complete the picture.

After all, worst case scenario was that I'd get a lot of wine for my trouble. The Metropolitan Centre in Scarborough is a fascinating event hall that wears its heritage proudly on its sleeve. It was a bit overwhelming - and a bit humbling to walk in here for the first time and take everything in. This is a sprawling space that offers some of the best food I've had at an event hall in a very long time, and the event was an interesting and fascinating experience. We enjoyed salmon, salad, roasted red peppers, mini potatoes and all the bread and wine we could handle. And the baklava. OH MY GOD THE BAKLAVA. And it was the nice, light baklava that was handmade. I ate like half the plate when they brought it - don't judge me, I'm a growing boy. I will be the first to tell you that I am not literate in Greek culture, so it took some time to acclimate to their customs. When in doubt, kiss the hands of your elders and hug everyone you can. It was very interesting to see the reverence the assembled guests (including several politicians) had for the academy, which is affiliated with Saint-Paul University and teaches young men to be priests. This was definitely an experience I won't soon forget, and the venue was classy and filled with good times and great food. If I ever have the chance to attend the Metropolitian again in the future, I'll be there without delay. Highly recommended.
