When we planned our first Alaskan cruise departing this summer I thought what a great opportunity to surprise my guy with a vow renewal. Time went by and snuck up on me and we had one month to go and I had planned nothing. That's when I did a google search and found Alaska Weddings On Ice. From my first inquiry Tom was there for me. He was enthusiastic throughout the process and helped me to pick the Father of the Bride 2 package for our day which allowed four of us to enjoy the package. Our friends were thrilled they could join us. This package included greeting at the pier of the cruise ship by Tom with a bag of pamphlets, two champagne flutes that said "married in Alaska" and a bottle of glacier water. We then boarded our car where our incredible driver gave us a tour of the capital of Alaska. We stopped for photos along the way and our favorite stops included glimpses of the glacier. We were then taken to the airport where we completed a safety briefing and were fitted with spiked covers for our shoes. Boarding the helicopter was super exciting. The vistas as you approach the glacier are just stunning. The landing was smooth as silk. At first you think, where are we landing? The ceremony provided by Tom was thoughtful and touching. He made it a point to ask questions in a survey that helped him to draft a personal experience. We had lovely matching red rose boutonnières that made for lovely photos on the ice landscape. Tom had placed our champagne right in the ice for chilling which made for an awesome photo. We were even allowed to taste the pure glacial water and eat an ice chip. Overall this process was smooth and 100% enjoyable. Tom made an effort to get to know me beforehand so meeting him in person was like meeting an old friend. I would Highly Recommend this experience as it will provide memories that last a lifetime!

After doing extensive research on lodging options in Juneau, I truly believe Aspen Suites Hotel…read morestands out as the best choice in the area. The location is incredibly convenient--just minutes from the Juneau International Airport and with easy access to all the main roads. Whether you're coming in for sightseeing, business, or outdoor activities, this hotel serves as a perfect hub. We drove by the Super 8 and the Wyndham Travel Lodge and each looked sketchy. Juneau doesn't have a wide selection of hotels, and Aspen Suites clearly sets itself apart. It was, by far, the cleanest and friendliest property we encountered. The rooms are well-maintained, and the staff does an excellent job keeping everything spotless. One of the big advantages is that the hotel offers air conditioning--something not all places in Juneau have, which can be a big plus during the warmer months. Also the Kitchenette allowed us to shop for food and save on "eating out". The hotel also features a large, clean, and well-equipped laundry room, which is incredibly useful if you're on an extended trip or coming back from Alaskan adventures in need of fresh clothes. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous, and while the building has three floors, there are elevators and multiple luggage carts available to make check-in and check-out smooth and efficient. If you're visiting Juneau, I highly recommend considering a suite at Aspen. The extra space and amenities make a big difference, especially after a day of exploring. Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and great service--all at a very reasonable value.

I brought in my aloe vera plant and asked for advice on how to get it healthy again. I followed Morgan, one of the employees' advice and now my aloe is plump and happy. They also sell pottery made in the store's studio. Thank you Pottery Jungle! I love visiting the shop.

OMG, loved everything about this excursion from our driver (John?) who educated us on sooooo many…read morethings en route to the camp, and then our musher whose name escapes me but was so knowledgeable, to the dogs chomping at the bit and ready to go to the actual 10+ minute ride which was way fast ( these dogs RUN)... to the info about what's needed by mushers as told to us by Abby to the puppies and mommas themselves and holding these so so so cute puppies ( especially Ian and Ero)...and the assistance and knowledge shared by Ryan and once again, Abby, and finally the ride back to the ship and info given by Alan ( Allen) ... Oh, there was an opportunity to have hot chocolate and snacks and chill by a freshly made fire lol)... Lots of families, lots of younger kids, excited to hold the puppies, but also older people like us, just as excited

The doggies loved their run so much, even though on breaks they tried to slowly angle into the woods. We got to meet them afterwards, those comfortable to do so, and they were sweethearts. The second part of the tour was hearing about Alaskan sled racing. It was beautiful, in the woods, but the river nearby made it too hard to hear the soft spoken guide. Then we got to meet the puppies. There were three littera, one a month old, one three, and one older and too big for me to trust my self carrying them. They were all adorable though, and I wish I could have smuggled one out. The cruise would had objections, I imagine, to say nothing of those from the sled dog owners.
