The job also had to be completed with a very short turnaround time. Within 12 hours, I had KIU staff at the apartment and they got right to work. Gina (the owner) gave me an estimate of the quote online and was very good with her communication. Since I was not available at the apartment, Gina kept updating me through text and email. She even took before and after pictures for my reference. Some of which I will post here later. The price was very reasonable and her staff did a fantastic job of cleaning. Despite being told the job was "under control," the spaces were left in unacceptable condition: * Floors were filthy, untouched by even basic spot cleaning or mopping. * Bathrooms and kitchen/lounge areas were clearly not cleaned, with dirty tables and unswept floors. * Only the trash was taken out--the bare minimum. My teenage child has cleaned this same space more thoroughly and professionally in the past. When I brought up these concerns, instead of acknowledging the poor work, the owner refused to return the building key cards unless paid in full for a job that was clearly not done. I have photos and security footage backing up my claims. This level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty is unacceptable--especially when someone's business and reputation are on the line. They had placed a large welcome mat of their own on the front porch while they worked, which I thought was a very nice touch.
