A sign at the entrance indicated that purses larger than 6x9 had to be clear. We saw many women walking back to their cars with their larger opaque purses - after waiting in line for a half hour. The sound system reverberates throughout and it's difficult to hear what's being said. There were very long lines at all the concession stands before the event began and long lines at the restrooms at the end. Parking had lots of open spaces but it was unguided and essentially a free for all. Both in and out. Seating is sports arena seating, hard plastic. With almost no leg room or arm room. I'll work to avoid coming here.

But, what's in a name? The concert capacity is 11,500 and I found entry pretty smooth. There are nine gates and it's surrounded by parking lots, three of which have ample spots reserved for the physically challenged. As with all concert venues, arrive early otherwise you will likely have a bit of a hike. I was there for Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Doors opened almost 90 minutes before showtime, the line moved surprisingly fast, pass through of metal detector was quick and uneventful and there were plenty of staff on hand to scan the e-tickets. There was no request to open my handbag. This is laid out like a bowl, so there's only one level to enter the seating area, putting you at the rim of the bowl....so those great seats you snagged in row 3 are wayyyy down a seemingly endless flight of stairs with none too stable handrails in the center. If this is an issue for someone in your party, there is help available. There was no way my husband could have handled that descent and the ushers were right there to guide us to an elevator where other ushers led us through the backstage area (so exciting) and across the floor, where it was then just a few steps UP to the seats. They were all very helpful and happy to help. Also on the spot if anyone needs a wheelchair. Plenty of bathrooms. Way overpriced food, drinks and merch (like at all concert venues). Bracelets to purchase alcohol were readily available. The concession stands seemed pretty well staffed. I went up the hill once for beer and there was no wait. They have signs smugly proclaiming they are 'cashless' - so minus a star for that. Seats are less than comfortable and packed pretty tight. Watch for sticky spots on the floor. Don't wear your best shoes. Overall the venue has kind of a drab feel, but I came for the show and glad I did.

This really is a neat place. I came on the first Fri/Sat of the Cinci tennis tournament. It was…read moremy first time here. I had tix for Grandstand one day and the other stadium the other. Parking was free but far away. Fortunately, I am quite mobile and able to walk the distance quickly. I also made note of where I was parked and didn't have trouble finding my car later. The entry process was quick - even Saturday when the gates were busy. Within 15 minutes of entering, I cut my hand badly trying to fill my water bottle at the water fountain. Not sure how it happened, but it did. The first aid people were so kind. I get sick at the sight of blood and am sure I overreacted. They stopped the bleeding and bandaged me so I didn't have to leave to get stitches - although I really should have then or later but never did. It still is not healed. Anyways, as soon as I was bandaged up, I went to find the arena I had tix to. The 2 large stadiums are easy to find and they are actually much smaller than I had expected! I had front row seats the first night and it was really cool. Going to the evening time slot got me 2 matches. I didn't stay for the whole second match as I got nervous finding my car in the dark - so I left when the sun really started to go down. I had back row seats on Saturday - still a really good view. And I was in the shade which helped given the 90 weather. Again, finding my way to my seat was super easy. There were plenty of restrooms and water fountains. I didn't spend a dime while I was there although there were plenty of ways to do so. There were lots of food stands to eat at - and drink station serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I got 3 matches on Saturday - all big name players. It was a great experience and am so glad I went. I won't go again as I much prefer watching tennis on TV but I have a new appreciation of what goes on at tennis tournaments now.

It was our first time at the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament, and we were there for opening…read moreweekend. We arrived about an hour before the gates opened, and we were parked close to the front my row. It still took us a good 10 or 15 minutes to walk to the gates, at the time we didn't know about the shuttles, and or they hadn't started running. Know before you go that overall there is very little shade anywhere. Even waiting in line to get in you're standing in the straight sun. Once inside, they had a few pavilion areas with booths that had vendors that had a few freebies, like handheld fans, sample bottles of sunscreen, that sort of thing. All the way at the rear of the complex is an immense pro shop, where you can buy virtually every type of clothing, article, hat, sunglasses, and all other types of accessories at much higher than normal prices (although most do sport the Open logo on them.) There is a large open grassy area with dozens of umbrella tables, as well as a selection of tables that do not have any shade. There is a long line of restaurant storefronts that gives you a wide variety of foods to try, such as pizza, gyros, burgers, salads, coffee, etc. Also, tucked along the edges of the various stadiums are small Kroger storefronts where you can buy bottled drinks and snacks, as well as some bars serving alcohol. They even have booths that sell cups of ice - with so many people, no matter how quickly they restock the refrigerated cases, nothing gets a chance to cool down so getting ice is imperative. They have a deal that you pay once and you get free ice refills all day, which is worth it when the temps are in the 90s. There are many available drinking fountains that are also equipped to refill water bottles. You will also see a lot of what appears to be hand sanitizer stands that actually dispense suntan lotion to help prevent sunburn. The stadiums are set up for prime viewing. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. The biggest consideration is how much sun you are willing to handle. There are sections that have permanent shade but you definitely pay more for those seats. Those also come with a more cushioned seat bottom, and little tables in front to hold your drinks, which is a big plus. The stadiums are completely open seating for practice matches, so we enjoyed watching Coco Gauff practice while sitting in the posh seats. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the landscaping was beautiful. The bathrooms were plentiful and kept very clean. Despite the intense heat, we had a great time and would love to come back. This complex is in a great community, with lots to do within a very short drive. I would highly recommend!

Try the Cardinal popcorn as it is a mix of butter and Carmel popcorn. It's very tasty. I thought it was odd that the arena didn't have a clear bag policy. This didn't slow down entering into the building too much. However it isn't very standard for the sports industry. The other oddity was the facility design. I loved the easy access from the parking lot into the arena. However, you have to climb stairs to go up into the arena. No simple walking in the same level from the box office to the arena concourse. There are elevators if you need them. And the stairs are wide and very safe. Just an odd design to me.

For 20 balls, it is $2.00. You just check in at the front desk to pay, and they give you tokens. They have several different options and varying speeds. You can choose to practice hitting for softball or baseball. This complex also has an area for indoor soccer. You can be a part of their leagues. This is for people of all ages. They have a small snack bar outside of the courts. There is also an area when you first enter the facility that is for personal training. There are coaches helping people become better for various sports, as well as weights for strength training.

Wall2Wall Soccer says its "Ohio's Finest Soccer Facility," and while I don't know what the rest of…read morethe state has to offer, I do know that it's the best in the Cincinnati area. The Wall2Wall Sports Complex in Mason has an arcade, a large concession stand with plenty of tables and chairs, softball (35 and 45 mph) and baseball (35, 45, 55, and 65 mph) batting cages, and it also hosts lacrosse, ultimate Frisbee, dodge ball, and flag football events and opportunities, but soccer is really what it's all about. Wall2Wall has three indoor soccer fields, two which are regulation size and one that is a lot smaller. I had several friends in high school who played soccer, a few of which even play Division I NCAA soccer now, and they all played at Wall2Wall during the winter. They have the best facilities around, and they offer great high school-level, adult, and youth leagues (11v11, 8v8, 7v7, 6v6) during the winter and summer, as well as the All Star Soccer Academy youth camps and the Sunday Coed league (2 girls + 3 guys + goalie) during the summer. The fields are in great shape, and the place really is wall to wall soccer as they have Wallbangers (like Fat Head posters) of top footballers Wayne Rooney, Thierry Henry, and Ronaldinho, among others throughout the complex. This weekend they will be holding the annual David Fulcher All Pro Youth Football Camp, while in August, Major League Lacrosse star Joe Walters will run a lacrosse camp. Wall2Wall is also a great place for a birthday party, and it is also the home of the Ignition premier sports-specific training program and the Tristate Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center. Wall2Wall clearly isn't just about soccer, as they offer so many other great sports and games. If you are looking to play indoor soccer, however, than this is definitely the best place around.
