If I listed even half of the categories you can find at KPD this review would be WAY too long but suffice to say, if you collect it or dream of it, you will probably find it at KPD. The toy section seems endless with many high quality, highly desirable collectibles. Unlike usual consignment shops, some areas are rented by local artists with amazing art. Honestly, we could have spent 1/2 a day there and not have begun to scratch the surface of the inventory. The setting is great-super high ceilings, old wood floors and creative displays. The owner was super friendly, available as needed. We can't wait to return, as my daughter said, "We need to come back all the time or we will miss something!" While there check out Brooklyn +Rye & Infusion Art Glass. After you work up an appetite you can get a delicious healthy meal or snack at Good Earth Holistic Kitchen or Wild Hare (by the Medusa Brewery people) which will operate as a specialty coffee cafe and lunch spot by day and a sophisticated, intimate dinner spot and brewery by night.

I did read a comment on here about their mistletoe and margarita party. I think that the person who wrote it obviously is someone who likes to get something for free. This event is a free one that the store puts on and obviously this person wasn't a shopper for items, but someone who just showed up to get free drinks and then chose to write a nasty review because they couldn't get extra free stuff. It's so sad people like this exist. They show up to events take all the free stuff they can get and then get mad when they can't have extra. It's an event where people are supposed to be respectful of each other. I've been to this event and it's spectacular and the fact that the store does it for free and doesn't charge anything. It's pretty damn amazing. I absolutely love this place. I have never had a bad experience here and the owners are so friendly they would be mortified if somebody did.

The selection contained a good mix of items. We were able to pick up some decent brand name stuff, that would have been already picked through by resellers at a larger thrift chain. Saturday they open their basement to shoppers. Several super large cardboard boxes filled with…read moremixed mens and womens clothes, more boxes with linens and childrens clothes boxes. The boxes are so large and so deep, it is nearly impossible to reach the bottom. Also mixing mens and womens clothing made it hardto find clothes. I was disgusted by the stains on many of the items, from vomit on yltops, to menstrual stains on leggings. I shopped the regular store and those clothes are clean and in much better condition. The young salesgirl threw a pair of earrings I bought in a bag with several clothing items and it took me awhile to find them. All items were $5 unless marked another price. Im usually happy with this store, but Ill never go to that basement again. The fill a bag for $5 is not worth the hassle and bacteria. Couldnt wait to spray my hands with sanitizer after todays visit.
